a rose is a rose is a rose

This is a 'Rose' post. There will be many roses for you to see....A few may look like some of the others...but in fact, there are no repeats in this post. Just ten different Roses surrounded by other very beautiful flowers in another fantastic arrangement by that 'artist' flower wizard Van, from "The Conservatory".......My wonderful neighborhood Florist...... To me, each of these Roses is exquisite in every way, shape, form, and color....in fact, the colors just knock me out..... And in this picture above, you see a partial look at this very lush Spring arrangement.....Then below....We see a very lovely little floral peice, right next to one of these beautiful Roses,These lush teeny tiny pale yellow flowers with some lovely delicate green leaves holding them. This reminds one of the diversity of nature and in nature. And in just this one arrangement there were over ten different flowers....all, works of art! Above, a simple beautiful pale pink Rose....stately and soft....Regal, really, don't you think? One look at all these gorgeous flowers makes you know that there is a greater power....this greater power, this is my 'higher power'.....and that power has the power to astound.

Oh my my my...how gorgeous is that Rose, above? Again, the shape....the exquisite shape and the magnificent shadings in this flower.....! Astounding, like I said....And below, another one that astounds.... Similar? Yes, but not the same....what is also astounding is how 'perfect' each one is in their imperfectionness....I absoulutely love the gradation of color in those edges.....And look below at the breathtaking edges on this next Rose...Glorious, beyone belief!
And then, just a peek at some of the other stunning flowers that surround the 'roses' in this arrangement..... That brown/purple one....and the soft pale lavenderish pinkish one right next to that glorious Rose....it all looks good enough to eat....And then, one last picture showing more of the beauty of the arrangement here below with all the flowers close to one another as if hugging each other with great love and affection.....happy to be together, giving such pleasure to all who are lucky enough to get a glimpse of them..... I promise to show more of this particular arrangemnt so you can see more closely the other flowers hugging the Roses....

Hope your week will be a really lovely one.......I cannot believe it is the middle of May, already.....Time is truly flying by......

More To Come.......

Hey, this is great, and that so shortly after mother's day.
You see, my mother's name was Rosina, but everyone called her Rose. Love all the great looking people here on your blog!

You must really love roses, Naomi. That's quite an amazing arrangement.

I didn't go with roses to my Mom this year. I sent her 30 blue tulips instead.

Wow, I better take down the name of that florist, but even more so, I remain in awe of your photography skills. You use a digital camera like Van Gogh used a canvas, capturing even more beauty and mystery than exists in nature.

That first rose looks like spreading petals of rich silk and must be so soft to the touch.... I must get out to the botanical gardens this week... I bet the rose garden is in bloom!... we have had two so far, two long stem deep red roses... it is going to be a good year for them.

Ahhhh. Thanks! I needed that.

My mother has always prayed to Saint Theresa, who, she believes, answers prayers with a rose. I'm hoping that seeing your roses here is a sign that a prayer is being answered somewhere...

Gorgeous colors and photos. I loved the one with the tiny yellow flowers. If I had to choose a favorite of these wonderful photos, I'd choose the last one because of the variety of color.. and yet they go so well together. Your florist is a cut above. :)

Wow - the man Van has done you proud this week - what a wonderfully glorious display! And you bring it all to life for us thousands of miles away as if we were standing next to you smelling these beautiful flowers.....

I haven't watched the videos yet - I'm waiting for a nice peaceful time alone when I can indulge myself.

I'm off to Italy tonight! :-)
