kind of quiet

Some Beautiful flowers to touch your soul....This pair above just knocks me out......Perfection from Natures Garden.....! It lifts the spirit and touches the soul, and brings peace to one's heart...... I haven't been feeling all that great these days so there's not much to write about....Here are a few more pictures to please the eyes......And an update on Betty....She is doing very well, so I hear. She is now in The Rehab place for Physical Therapy and will be going home in a few weeks.....So, keep those good thoughts coming her way...... A couple of Roses that pleased me...The colors and the petals....So Pretty. So soft. So soothing......! And above, a closer look at a gorgeous Orchid....The colors are all so very pretty.....Lovely and soft, aren't they? And above, another breathtaking beauty of an Orchid....the colors are just so rich and deep.....My God, Nature is Miraculous! I have been watching a lot of movies these last few days....If I get up the energy, I will write about them....I'll mention just one. It is French. "A Christmas Tale". A lovely haunting story, but filled with humor too and very touching, as well....The ever radiant Catherine Deneuve gives another performance that is absolute perfection. Rent it, my dears......

More To Come..........

Just read about Betty G.'s tumble, then your up date on her recovery status. I certainly do send positive thoughts her way!

Given the discipline I know is needed to succeed in the professional life shared by her, you and many of your friends, I would expect each of you are well equipped to incorporate activities into your lives that maximize therapy gains, if ever needed, such as with Betty G.'s P.T. The bottom line is "doing the work."

I might add a reminder of what we all know, but sometimes overlook, that as we get older we don't always "bounce back" from ailments, injuries as quickly as when we're younger. Please tell her to be patient, especially if she experiences irregular gains, or thinks they're too slow. I've found "patience" is important -- such an easy word to recommend but can be very hard to practice.

I think coping with unwelcome circumstances affecting those about whom we care can be emotionally draining. We've all probably long since learned that fact, but such life events never become easier. I do hope you will be perking up soon, that you and friends will be gathering with Betty G. in celebratory mode once she is up and about again.

Your photos continue to be spectacular, these flower colors seem delicately soothing.

Blogs are a wonder: Strangers from across the county or the planet become a part of your world. I am cheered to hear Betty is doing well and sad that you are under the weather. Please feel better soon. And please know how much we appreciate you and your posts.

Catherine Deneuve has always been one of those actresses who send me over the edge, swooning, since I was junior high. Yikes, what a beauty. One of my favorites of her many roles was in Indochine, a marvelous, marvelous film.

Sorry you're not feeling chipper. I hope things get better.

Cheers.

It's good to know Betty is on her way to a full recovery. She seems to have a spirit that doesn't quit so that certainly helps speed things along. Wishing her all the best.

Btw, these flowers are beautiful. I need to find an orchid I can't kill. :)

PS - Thanks for referring the Basquiat film. I can't get enough of him now.

I bought a frame for Betty's photo today; it will go on the wall in Mr. kenju's office and he will gaze upon her lovely face often, I am sure. Please tell her we are glad to know that she is in rehab and doing well.

Hi Naomi--sorry to hear you're under the weather, but the weather has been k-k-k-kold lately, so hopefully you're under the covers with Sweetie.(lol).

Tonite is the eve of St. "Nickolash", the wonderful old fellow who brings toys and tidbits (and lots of choclate, much of it wrapped in tinfoil) to good girls and boys, but LUMPS OF COAL to the naughty. Now, I know that your stocking will be filled with all the best and most beautiful things.....but hmmm I wonder (lol) what Mr. Woods will find ???

Good Morn Naomi, Thank You for sharing the flowers, yellow roses are one of my favorite's. How this finds you feeling better. Have had some cardiac procedures done recelently, myself, had broncidus, a cold and a tooth go bad all in less than a month. As well as this time of year is always a little sad for me at this point in my life, but am back to work, think if just keep on moving all will be well, its when one stops and starts thinking too much, things really go down hill. So once again thank you for the flowers. Pat from NY.

I clicked on your yellow flower to make it larger and it filled up the computer screen. Then I proceeded to sit there and gaze at it for a few minutes, breathing deeply and trying to let all the stress in me flow out. I called M over to look at it. I said, "wouldn't this make a great screensaver for the computer?" She agreed. "It's all happy and cheery." Then I said, "this would be an awesome painting too." We both continued to gaze at the flower and then snapped back to reality. Thank you for those few minutes in my day that were stress free. I'm trying to practice letting go of stress instead of bottling it all up inside. We all have daily stresses and work stresses and being an attorney, I also take on all the stresses of my clients, so I really do need to remember to let it go at the end of the day and quit carrying around the weight of the world. Your flower helped me do that. Thank you.

Naomi.... I have been so crazy busy that I hadn't visited your blog in a while. I'm so sorry Betty has had to endure hip surgery and all that entails. We were there when my father in law fell and broke his hip. It is a frightening and delicate process to go through. May she continue to exude that wonderful spunk and spirit she has.
I'm sure its just eating you up that you can't visit her!! .... and you're not feeling well on top of that. Take it easy...... keep taking those BEAUTIFUL photos and sharing them.

I swear. I think God made flowers so we would stop and reflect on them as gifts and blessings. Nothing lifts my spirits than the beauty of a bloom.

I'm so happy to read that Betty is recovering well and getting physical therapy. I pray she continues to improve and get stronger. I know this was very hard on her, and I know you were very concerned about her.
I always take your movie recommendations seriously since I highly value your opinion. I will look out for A Christmas Tale.
