I am so sorry Naomi that you have lost another fine person from your life. When I saw the notice in the paper, I wondered if you knew her. I do remember her from the Newhart show. She certainly had a lot of pain in her life but also many pleasures.
My sympathies to you and her family.
Hello,
I'm a new reader and thought I'd go ahead and say hello. I came to your blog from your broken heart art. I am an Artist as well (or trying to be one) and I love that collection! I've enjoyed reading about your adventures, thank you for sharing.

# 3 and 4 are carnations, Naomi. I love their aroma and their many varivarieties.
I am so sorry about Marcia. I remember her well on Bob Newhart; a very good actress and comedienne.
They mentioned Marcia Wallace on the news, which I was happy to see. How on earth do you get such close-up shots?
Sorry for your loss, but the photos cast a bright light on Marcia! xx
Hello, Naomi. These are simply beautiful. And in their way they are a wonderful tribute to Marcia Wallace -- she was such a fabulous comedienne and actress. I'm so glad that as a person she did not disappoint. I'm so sorry for your loss
Gorgeous photos and a sad statement of what life is about.
You do have a good camera to be able to take such close-ups – when I try with mine my shots are always blurred. Those flowers are indeed lovely. Another sad news, dear Naomi, I know what a difficult time it is for you to lose so many dear friends.
Just keep painting these flower portraits with your eye and they will bring healing and peace xo.
Marcia Wallace was a brilliant actress
Your amazing images made me smile
Hugs from me and Hope and Athena
I lost a friend on Sunday. The suddeness and unexpectedness of it all has left me stunned.
You are losing so many friends - so sad about Marcia. I loved her on the Newhart Show. Sometimes viewers feel a kinship with actors and she seemed like someone who would be a fun and wise friend.
I love your beautiful flowers - they are indeed miracles. And your photos are just gorgeous!
These beautiful pictures remind me of my childhood when my brother and I would ride in the sidecar of Mum and Dad's motor bike and be transported all over Britain.
Our companions were friends of our parents - Reg and Lillian and when ever we came to a lovely scene Lillian would say - with a dreamy expression on her face:
'Isn't nature wonderful?'
She would have been so thrilled with these beauties. She was right
- nature is wonderful and so are you Naomi, for reminding us of it.
Nature's beautifull colours and patterns :)
I'm so sorry for your loss. Marcia's voice is a constant on our TV and on many TV's across the world, what with The Simpsons being so popular still.
I am so sorry for your loss, dear Naomi!
These gorgeous pictures are a lovely homage to your friend Marcia.
Sending to you many hugs.
Love.
Hey honey~! I am sorry for the rolling losses, as it were...I am glad you can still find the beauty in things, however, even when times are rough. I love these pictures!
God bless you in your sorrow. We are honored that you took the time to capture God's creations in a way we would not see otherwise.
Hugs.
Naomi, I have not been by here lately and I am so sorry to hear about Kim's passing. She was a beautiful lady. And I read your post about how you are feeling, and I hear your words so clearly. I sometimes wonder now at 50 years old if I will feel what you are feeling when I am your age. I don't have children and my sister does not have children and our brother passed away when he was young. So I'm wondering whether when the years roll on, if I'm still living, if I feel the same way. I have wondered this a lot over the years. I try to spend time with older people from church that don't have children close by so that they don't feel lonely and also to give them assistance in getting to the doctors appointments. I think to myself that I will one day need this type of interaction, too. You have a great sense of storytelling about your past and it's a treasure to read your remembrances of family and friends here on your blog. I do wish I meet you in person one day (by I don't fly, so will not be coming out your way) but if I lived close by, I certainly would come by visit! I hope you have the sunshine in your spirit soon. You truly are a treasure to so many.
Another sad loss, but you cherish the memory of your friend, and celebrate her with your beautiful flower pictures. How appropriate, that such fleeting floral beauty should commemorate the passing of a friend.
I'm so sorry for another sad loss in your life. She sounded like a very special woman, with so many large mountains to climb. I hope she is at peace now.
Those flower shots are amazing! I've added something on my blog that may be of interest to you. :)
