More To Come.........
Well at least the visual pollution IS Harrison Ford. Count yourself lucky. But you are right, something has to be done about all those HUGE billboards - it just seems, well, wrong.
What a cute dog but I put my money on it being a little yap yap...
As for the 'guess what', well, I simply have no idea. no idea at all... (Prehaps a wash cloth, tea towel?)
I had a couple of ideas about the guess what # 3 photo:
1) a Rice/Corn/or Wheat Chex cereal square.
2) any cereal square (like shredded wheat, for example)
3) a waffle weave towel
4) a wicker chair (up real close!)
5) a trunk of a bamboo tree/plant
6) guessing a weaved basket was just too obvious, so I know it is not that.
Waiting to find out what it is,
Anne
Hi Naomi! I like so much the series 'guess what'! But I simply have no idea.... but I will return soon to see the image again...
Loved this little guy! So cute!
Many hugs!
I am guessing it is a piece of cloth? a towel? I think I am sure it is not a flower, lol!
I'd rather have a visit from Harrison Ford than the view of that huge banner...
The doggie is cute and what a fine name: Finn sounds wonderful!
This is a TOTALLY wild guess, but is it some kind of retaining wall? It looks like the pattern I've seen on some retaining or "silence" walls I've seen on the interstate.
Gosh, I am HORRIBLE at this game. (But I love it) That pooch is a cutie!
It looks like a Triscuit cracker - UGH about the ads on the building.
Is it an air filter of some sort? From an AC unit perhaps?
Yes, the ad is AWFUL!!
And what is worse, just last week we lost our most passionate fighter against this and other desecration of our beloved tinsel town. Robert Nudelman, founder and activist of Hollywood Heritage, died very suddenly, leaving a gaping hole in the effort to stem the tide of tear-downs, inappropriate construction, and, yes THOSE building enrobements.
The best memorial we can create for this brave, dedicated man who devoted his life to fighting blight and getting it right, is a strong, ongoing effort to carry on his work.
So, for all of you in L.A., write, call, email your elected representatives. And in the next election, do your homework. Find out who is in whose pocket, and TURN THE RASCALS OUT!
For all of you out there, support us by notifying the Hollywood chamber of commerce, city tourism office etc. that you want to come to a clean, safe, restored Hollywood, not a honky-tonk.
In rememberance of Robert Nudelman, overcome the lethargy and ACT!
I'm guessing itis a waffle weave kitchen towel.
Sorry that they are polluting the visual site line...
And, the pooch is too cute!!!!
The little dog has a lovely intelligent face.
As for the puzzle it reminds me of the canvas one used to do tapestry on, but I don't feel very confident with that:)
BTW Melody all little dogs yap especially corgis.
It's an Easter basket! That's my guess. I love Harrison Ford, too, but not what they're doing to those buildings!
Fin is darling!
I don't know for sure what your photo is - but it looks like some sort of woven upholstery to me.
Let me guess - a blanket??
Oh Finn looks simply adorable!!!
Found you via the blog one thing I Hate about today.
That looks to me like the rubber backing on a throw rug. Could I be right?
Cindi
looks like a piece of curtain from old aunt sadies living room.
What a cute dog!
That's one huge pic of Harrison Ford!
Do ads just constantly have to be shoved down our throats? It is visual pollution...but I am going to go see that movie. They didn't have to put it on a building, the old ones will carry it. And Harrison Ford is so cool.
I liked Finn, he is adorable.
I think it is some kind of rope weave...maybe a sofa fabric?
The underside of a throw rug for poolside.
My guess is either a brick or another funky cactus.
That's one cute puppy.
I guess I'm just weird, but I love the giant Harrison Ford poster and wish I could put it on my roof.
although I absolutely love Harrison Ford.. and love Indiana Jones even MORE... I still do not like things shoved in my face like an advertisement that large!..(plus it still defaces the building)
I think you are fooling us around here. Smart as you are.
I will not comment the vulgarity of that building.
But Finn is very interesting. As a Name. Anna's oldest brother has that name. At the same time: Finn, in Noreweigian means: Find.
tiens tiens, as they say in France.
Here Summer came and went away in one week. We are used to it. But - grrr - also very frustrating. It's very hard to plan what to do the next day.
Finn is adorable!!!
I have no idea about the picture.....
Finn is a true cutie pie.
It seems when it comes to the media, there is nothing that can't be sold. (yes, double negative)
It seems even our so-called "news" shows are nothing but propaganda.
Gosh, I'm terrible trying to guess these things, so I won't even try....lol (I'm just as bad with jigsaw puzzles)
But Finn is adorable! Thanks for sharing.
