The cooing of doves...
Hi Naomi! Visiting doves...peace?
I collect seashells...nice squares I thought... I note the patterns on yours is different from the one I have though they're from the same family.
Do have a good weekend.
beautiful. thank you for sharing them.
You just needed a statue of a Civil War general for them to roost on.
Cheers.
These are beautiful close-ups of the birds. I'm looking forward to seeing more of them.
Beautiful doves, Naomi...!!!
Hello. I haven't commented in a while but I do visit and enjoy your pictures very much. The birds are wonderful pictures of peace and gentleness. Thanks for sharing. Needless to say, I love the seashells. We have two large live reef tanks filled with life.
That is really cool...and thanks for your good wishes. am feeling a bit better - but still not leaving house until totally better!!!
"Of course, I could throw them some bird seed" made me chuckle.
And if you do start feeding them, you will get alot of bird doo doo around the property!
Beautiful birds.
How is the next door neighbor yard looking these days? Did that "building" ever materialize into something (hopefully not a bird/chicken coop)?
Have a great weekend. Anne
Finally ! something we have in common with California!!!
It looks like slim pickings to me....LOL They would appreciate birdseed, I'll bet.
Thanks for always sharing such beautiful things with us Naomi. I love the doves, they do make a very sweet sound.
Love the Doves! You know, for someone who can't walk down into her garden without someone with her, you don't seem to be missing very much. I just love how you observe everything!
how precious! aren't they beautiful creatures?
I just 'popped in' after reading your comment on John's blog (life in the pub) & I have to say, your photos are wonderful, your posts are so interesting & I'll hopefully be making regular stops here! Well done hon :-)
I'm glad that you take time to enjoy the wildlife around you. You seem to "smell the roses" better than most of us, I need to do that more. Thanks, Naomi
They come to my birdfeeder and flap away crying whenever I open the door. Sounds like a cry, wonder if that's how they got their name mourning dove? The cardinal is back that bangs itself against our window. Not as much as last year, maybe it's getting older.
There are quite a few of these mourning doves who live in my back yard, I put bird seed out in the bird feeder and they just love it!
Hi Naomi!! I love the doves. They are such a sweet bird. We have lots of them here. You could buy some sunflower seeds and drop them over the balcony into your garden or bird feed!! All the critters would love it!! Squirrels and chipmunks love it too!
I was wondering about the acorns I sent you. Did anything ever grow from those?
Just beautiful, Naomi! Here in my yard I have many doves and I love seeing them making his nest on my porch!
Love seeing your videos. I agree with you they are very, very sweet! And I also love hear your beautiful voice! Sounds you are so near me!
Thanks for your kind words about my flowers! Many hugs and have a nice weekend!
Ah! If you have some time, come to see the amazing photo I add today on my blog for the Alphabetization Campaign Day in Brazil.
I love what you see and capture with your camera. You are so observant, Naomi. Hope you are enjoying your Friday :)
They really are very sweet. :)

this is the sound when doves eat. You have a lot of good photos.
Here by way of Michele's, she says hello and I say happy Friday & safe weekend to ya.
I don't think I've ever seen doves captured so sweetly - both in stills and in motion. I wish I had a fraction of your sensitivity to your environment, Naomi.
Michele sent me this evening to share a long overdue hello, and to let you know that you're never out of mind.
Hi Naomi!
Thanks for another visiting on my blog. I agree with you, this image is really amazing and expressive. My friend Eduardo (the artist that made my caricature, did you remember him?) found this image on Internet. It was used as an ad of Australian Post with this phrase: "If you really want to touch someone, send them a letter".
It's very appropriate for sure!
Have a nice weekend!
Many hugs!
What a nice bird to have visit!
Doves are sweet birds. They seem to be able to find plenty to munch on around your place.
