beautiful photos :)
Hi Naomi! I enjoy the florets of some succulents. Thank you.
Your bees are never boring Naomi!! I love these photos, and I am just in awe at how you are able to capture these magnificent micro moments of these fascinating creatures in action!! I wish I could take photos like these.
Ahh, what a lovely observation and photos too.
Beautiful pictures!
Your bees are never boring. They are magnificent!
I linked those video's to your post on Carol not your blog so when they click that link it takes them to that post. Monday Music will be up all week. I don't have time post during the week because I will be working.
Huggles and Love,
Raggedy
Good morning!
Beautiful photos as always and never boring's photos, Naomi! I enjoyed so much seeing your garden, plants, birds and bees!
PS: Thanks for your nice comments on my blogs. I am also sorry for no longer going to update Imagens. But Fernando have been much work and for now he can't tell me details of others photos he took. So as I don't now where the photos were taken (do you can understand my poor English? LOL!) I am insecure to post them. Anyway, maybe some day I begin to update the Imagens. Big hug to you!
Hard little workers, yes?
Love the photos!
I was very impressed by the pretty flowers that came out of that not-so-pretty plant...
I love that the bees are making you look twice at Nature and even see things you never noticed before.
Hope the fires are well away from you - I saw them on the news.

It is amazing what you can see when you just open up your eyes and look!
Hope the smoke isn't near you, Naomi.
Thank you for the comforting news that you are safe from the fires.
I saw on the news that Gov Schwarzenegger had declared a state of emergency, and that Malibu is basically on fire.
No such thing as telling me too much information :-)
I was worried about you.

I'm glad your hils are still safe -- I am about 5 miles from the Portola (Irvine) fire -- but am quite safe.
Also -- love the bees!
They're beautiful.
I was going to email you but decided to check your blog first. Glad you're safe from the awful fires.
I have one So Cal friend who is in the thick of it but still okay except for no power.
It IS a lovely plant -- but I am always SO impressed with your photos of bees! They are the "bees knees" of bee photos! LOL! (did i really say that?) Nature is ALWAYS awesome!
Great photos!...there are a few that if looked at from farther..look like branches with fresh snow on them...It's scenes of winter here that I love...winter is just around the corner here..so ironically your lovely flowers today, remind me of winter..and those first snow falls that make the world look prestine and perfect...I will try to take some photos of that this yr to post on my blog. Have a great day Naomi :)
You have all those lovely plants at your place ... and I've got maple leaves falling onto my terrace. They are very colourful ... but it means I have to sweep sweep sweep 'em or we'll be tracking them into our place.
You know, I'm very interested in animal spirits. I've been consulting medicine cards now a good decade and while there isn't one for the Bee, you're encourage to add your own animal spirits to the deck.
In your case you would/should definitely add the Bee. It seems to be one of your power animals as evidenced by the fact that it evidently has all kinds of life lessons to teach you. Very neat. Speaking of which, I'm due for a reading, it's been a while.
Good Monday afternoon to you, Naomi.
Nature is indeed made magical through the eye of your camera !
Those tiny white blooms remind me of Christmas -- ice covered branches, so delicate and enchanting...
Your bees clearly LOVE your garden and pollinate happily !
It looks like spring there, which is quite a contrast from the way it looks here. Peak fall foliage is upon us. I must get out and take some shots. Nice to know your bees are happy and your flowers are blooming!
I think I'm as fascinated by the flowers as the bees are. :) Your garden stays with me. One of the most magical gardens I've ever seen. Truly.

Love those bees and flowers. :)
Hope the smoke in the air isn't messing with you... I know you're sensitive to that. (hugs)
Beautiful set of photos. I am just amazed how you manage to capture these beautiful and gorgeous shots!
fantastic once again Naomi..
ever wonder where their hive is? it makes you wonder how far they travel to get to your garden doesn't it? :o)
I hope you are in a safe place and not right in the middle of those terrible fires... Another blogger posted about the smell and the smoke...hope you are just fine...
So this is where all our bees have gone. It's wonderful to see the bees in your beautiful pictures .
I have been thinking about you for the last couple of days with all the fires that are burning in California. I hope you are safe and out of harms way.
I guess it's the colour of the blossom, but it looks frosty :) Beautiful photos. I love taking photos of bees.
It certainly seems the perfect plant to show off the bee's shape. I wonder if the bee knows this?
I hope you are going to do calenders at Christmas for your friends from your garden. It would be a beauty. Your bees are awesome.
I love the word spindly...when I read it I smiled. It is just one of those words that tickles me and seems to perfectly fit its definition.
Naomi I think I just put in a comment with no name. I hit the wrong button! So the anon. above me was me!
I am glad you got your card. I hoped you'd like it!
Beautiful photos as always. I hope you are not being impacted by the smoke from the fires in Southern California. It sounds terrible and I feel so bad for all of those who are being evacuated and sometimes losing their homes. :(
Have you seen the previews for "Bee Movie"? It's an animated Jerry Seinfield movie. Every time I see the preview, I think of your bees!
We could never tire of your bees Naomi!! Never!! Those tiny flowers are pretty. I found this little poem:
How doth the little busy bee
Improve each shining hour,
And gather honey all the day
From every opening flower!
By: Isaac Watts, "Against Idleness and Mischief"
They are indeed busy little bees!!
The bee photos keep getting better. I like the contrast...delicate flower and bees that sting.
I have a special place in my heart for bees. My column is called "Buzzing Around Town" and it is accompanied by a caricature of my head plopped on a bee's body.
I am especially thrilled to hear the news that you're safe from the fire. It can't imagine the hell that people are going through in your part of the country.
I wish I could buzz around and fly here and there and hang upside down. What fun those bees have!!
All your bee posts are coming right at the time that Jerry Seinfeld's new movie called Bee Movie is coming out. It's like you're giving his movie publicity!!
I've been thinking about you and my brother too with all those fires in southern CA. Jason called me tonight and said the skies have a lot of smoke in them and his eyes have felt dry and itchy.
I told him I wondered if the poor air quality is having any negative affect on you. I sure hope not. I hope you have a good air purifier in your home.
Our predicted big storm did not come on Sunday night at all, but we've had rain all day yesterday, all day today, and it's supposed to continue all day tomorrow. I'm a tad water logged. :-)
Bee good.
Bee happy.
Bee nice.
I will bee too.
