The bees, mostly bumble bees, have been buzzing around all of my flowers quite a bit in the last couple of weeks too. I took some photos but haven't transfered them to the computer yet. Great shots of your bees!
Love that flower photos! Just wonderful. Especially since we're having a bad autumn over here with a lot of grey cloudy and rainy days. Love the curls on that flower.
Thanks for stopping by and welcome to mingle with all of us :-)
The Champagne is flooding over at Lifecruiser and the place is full of ghauls, witches and other scary blogger creatures.
So, having any blood vessels over for the vampires I've invited tonight?
*ghostly giggles*
Oh, and promise: no worms in the champagne glasses!!!
lol... "big hulking moving thing...would just go away."
You're recording those bees for posterity! They're the lucky few!
Great photos, so clear!
Michele sent me today!

I'll never tire of them, Naomi. And as the song says....."Birds do it, bees do it....." so I suppose, they must!
Lovely photos of the bees. I hope they return next year for you to enjoy.
Maybe if you promise to keep that camera out of their tiny faces?
Just kidding.
Naomi,
you have such a fabulous garden, the bees will find other delights ! Great pictures, as usual...
Did you ever know Gilbert Roland ? I met him a number of times almost 30 years ago at the Beverly Hills Tennis Club on Maple Drive, and he seemed like such a courtly gentleman...
Or David Wyler ? (My parents were friends with he and Tally for years.)
What about Victor Saville (he was a director in England) ?
All three of those gentlemen seemed like the quality type of intelligent person who would have been both interesting to you and interesed in you as a person, although I believe you would be some 10 years younger than any of them...
Loving Annie
The bees are back! I'm just glad they don't talk in the Spanish accent like the cartoon ones on the TV ad. For some reason that ad irritates me.
Naomi:
Do you think bees ever tell each other to buzz off?
~enjoyed :p
Hi Naomi! Enjoy. Enjoy. Enjoy while senecio flower lasts with the bees buzzing. It's great to have one as crazy to appreciate such...no you got my vote! Keep sharing please. Take care. Love the photos.
These photos are marvellous! You have captured such detail and I just love the curly tips of the flowers too :)
The bees really are fascinating. I can totally understand how you cannot get tired of watching them. They really do seem as if thye are concentrating on their work! From my understanding, bees don't feel emotion exactly as we do, but as I'm not a bee I guess we'll never know!
Michele sent me over to see your bees, but really she just hurried my visit!
Lovely pictures, as always. I was also interested to look at the 'thinner' variety of bees that you have.
Most of the one's around here are the plumper bumble bee types and the thinner ones are usually wasps.
But I can see the furry jackets on your bees, so I know that yours are the real deal.
At this time of year here in the UK, the bees and wasps are getting quite dopey as the weather starts to get more autumnal.

How can anybody be tired of your birds and bees stories :-)
Breath taking pictures again Naomi - thanks for sharing!
Wishing you a lovely end to your week:-)
Bee that as it may.. you bee's will always return for you to photograph again.
Maybe after some time they will bring you some of their prized honey?
Oh, busy bees!! don't see them here very often. Beautiful set of pictures, as always!
Awesome post! I put a few of those pictures on my screen saver. I like them as much as you do!
I left something special for you over at my place.
Huggles and Love,
Raggedy
Great pictures again. As the bees seem to be in trouble thanks to cell phones, maybe you need to keep these pictures safe!
Michele says hello!
Those scissor curly-ques also look like those glasses on a stick that people lift up to their eyes.
Bees don't seem like they ever get sad, do they?
They flit about like hummingbirds, and always seem to be in a happy hurry.
Of course, maybe they all just have a terrible case of ADD!! Who knows??
Your previous post is wonderful!
I loved reading about your family theater and concert visits. I am so glad you have those memories.
Those capes must have been beautiful. I'm so glad you still have them somewhere. They truly are treasures worth more than money.
You have a very keen memory of the Rubinstein concert. He MUST have been wonderful!!
It's great that you enjoyed Blog Church.
Bless you, my child.
Amen and Amen.
The questions might not get answered. But it is a great post! I loved the photos!
Glad Michele sent me your way!
What absolutely beautiful photos. I think you are really clever to able to catch them busy at thier work
I enjoy having my coffee or lunch on the patio and watching the bees dance on the flowers. I am not too afraid of the flower bees but after getting stung in the head I am more cautious about the aggressive hornets and wasps around. I don't care to see them dance or anything else!
Beautiful pics and great questions..I don't know the answers but I like pondering.
These are visually stunning! By all means keep sharing them.
Michele sent me!
Oh Naomi...read my last two posts. I am getting the shakes...
Naomi, we saw "Oklahoma" yesterday. I imagine you've seen it in the past. How did you like it?
Great pictures - I love to see other people enjoying nature. Maybe I'm not so weird.. lol! :)
thanks for stopping by!
What DOES a bee think about? Is it all work or is work play and play work?
I wish I could get my hair to curl like that. Michele wanted me to come by.
This is a second try at commenting on this blog....Love the bees and love looking at the flowers they frequent......I finally read your last post and it made me want one of those beautiful capes....I bet they were soft and warm. I love Rubinstein and we listen to his music quiet a bit. My husband has several of his albums on his Ipod and listens to him while he is working.....
Loved these bees Naomi!! I don't know, but the bees seem to always be happy and going about their business. Great questions though! If only a bee could talk!!
Ah, if we could talk to the animals, eh, I suspect we'd view the world very differently!
Your photos are amazing, btw!!
