the beauty of nature

Here is a very unusual---to me---Orchid. Small blossoms, all in a cluster. So very delicate and beautiful. The beauty of nature, abounds......(Oh, dear reader, be sure to click on these pictures to make them all bigger--this is the way you will see what is actually here...And if you couldn't see the 'angel bird' in my last post---do the same there, too....) Again, the amazing and very generous Van, sent me this beautiful exotic plant right after my brother died. I have never seen anything quite like this Orchid, before. These blooms-blossoms, are each about a 'silver dollar' size---actually, maybe smaller---like a $.50 cent piece size......But being clustered together...Well....they make one gorgeously distinctive unusually stunning plant.....Here, below....some closer looks at the amazing creativity that abounds in nature....... Oh My! What do we have here? Another something in the center....A Creature, of sorts. See the two eyes? And look at the incredible colors in the center of this little bloom.....It takes your breath away.....And we get in closer, below..... And closer, yet again...........Now don't tell me you don't see this 'creature'. And look at those GORGEOUSLY Exquisite colors surrounding 'the creature'. This is nature. This is not something that has been manipulated in "Photoshop" or something that has been manipulated in any way at all....! This Is What These Orchid Blossoms Really And Truly Looks Like, When You Get In Close Enough.
Wow.

More To Come.........

I couldn't get all of them to work because I'm in the UK I think, but I looked them up on You Tube and found them all. She came across really well!! Loved the Time Bomb one. :D Thank you so much. :)

I have said it before Naomi but your photos would be marvelous wall hangings. You have such an eye and ability to capture.
Who knew there were so many adorable "creatures" in the center of flowers. You have made me look more carefully at my own. Thanks.

A belated Happy Birthday Naomi! I love the last post about the sign from your brother. I love how you show how nature is so beautiful and amazing if you only take a closer and slower look. You make me look closer at the nature around me. I hope happy memories of your brother are filling your heart today.

You have beautiful orchids at home dear Naomi :) The orchids I have at home are a complete opposite to yours. Most of them are halfway dead and I'm trying to revive them. I was so busy that I forgot to water them for a month!

Naomi, the "eyes" are the sex organs of the orchid! I was once told by a well-known CA florist that if you remove them (on cut orchids, not plants) the flowers will last longer. They are indeed gorgeous.

You have taken some gorgeous pictures there Naomi – they truly are eye candy. There are so many treasures in nature, so many beautiful sights that it can fill our heart with pleasure and peace. What a wonderful present your florist friend gave you. Thanks for sharing this beauty with us.

Wow is right! Thanks to you, I now look closer to see the flowers in my garden more thoroughly than before!

I was reading what Kenju said above. This year when I bought Easter lilies the guy told me that if I took tweezers and removed the stamens that the blooms would last much longer. Interesting, this world of flowers and plants!! Hope you are doing well dear lady!!

You are quite right, those orchid blooms are beautiful, and they become more and more intricate and lovely as you zoom in. Mother Nature is pretty good artist, don't you agree?
And you wonderful florist, Van, really knows that you appreciate true beauty. What a nice man.

How are you doing Naomi?

I am catching up. Orchids are beautiful and this one is exquisite. That was lovely of Van and clearly he has as much of an eye for beauty as you do.

I agree with your other readers Naomi, you photography is amazing. I would love a coffee table book filled with your flower shots. Nature doesnt need airbrushing hey?
