I'm still praying for Sweetie, too, and you my friend!!
we are all constantly thinking of you and Sweetie
me and Siren and Isadora
I tried getting them to join hands with me but well - you know how cats are
hope you smile a bit at the image
I just posted about how steroids are helping Isadora with her chronic illness
I hope they do the same for Sweetie
Hugs dear friend
Dear Naomi,
this is a hard time, for both you and Sweetie.
I must admit, a close friend like your own Cat(s)is something very special, for us who knows what such a close relationship really means.
I'm thinking about the two of you. You both deserves the very best and I really hope Sweetie will be back were he loves to be: With you.
hugs, sweet hopes,prayers and mieooows

You have both been on my mind a lot. I hope soon you will get better news and that he'll be on the road to recovery. Very scary when our pet kids are ill
Keeping both of you in my thoughts...hang in there!!!
Glad to hear the update. I'll still wishing the best for both you and Sweetie, and you are both in my prayers and good thoughts. Continue to keep us posted, OK?
Love

Thank Heaven for that! I'm keeping Sweetie in my thoughts, Naomi, and hoping he will soon be home with you.
glad to hear Sweetie is responding. Keep a stif upper lip, and be very analytical about suggested therapies. Remember vets are IN BUSINESS--and don't forget to get second and even third opinions if necessary.
You two are in my thoughts 24/7.
the fat lady
I'm so glad there's a little ray of light. I just said another prayer.
I was happy to see the update, but from someone who has been there, I hope you have given some thought to maybe putting an end to his suffering. It's tough but sometimes that's the best way to show your love.
That is good news Naomi and proves he is a fighter. My prayers for both of you will continue.
As we say in the family - God bless.
I pray that sweetie responds to the steriods and is home soon! our animals are like our children especially as we grow..umm.. older ..and I know how hard this has been on you.. I hope he's home soon!!
Phew, I have been waiting for this update. So glad Sweetie is improving at least. Our pets being sick is just heartbreaking.
Minnie was having terrible gas problems-bad enough to set off the carbom monoxide detector. My vet said to switch foods.
I found Dick Van Patten's brand and it has really helped her digestion. I use his Green Pea and Chicken formula. It is a limited ingredient diet. Ask you vet if it might help IB.
Hope that darlin cat is soon home and feeling much better. You are both still in my prayers.
let's hear it for well formed poop!!
love ya
Hi dear Naomi,
I am glad to hear the update! I am still sending positive thoughts and praying for your dear Sweetie.
You both have been on my mind all day.
Hugs and Love.
I am glad to hear about his improvements and hopefully he can soon be home with you. Give this time to see how he does. I have heard of several cats recently getting an illness that kills and have wondered if anybody is looking into whether some food might be contaminated. It makes me uneasy given my own two cats and the need to feed them something I buy and trust others to make safe.
Prayers and hugs aplenty for both of you. As you say, baby paw steps.
all digits crossed for recovery :-)
sending thoughts and prayers your way for your little guy! ( and you too!)
What a gorgeous Sweetie and what a terrible time it is when a beloved pet is unwell. I'm glad there is an improvement and I pray Sweetie will have a full recovery. Look after yourself too..:)
Hi Naomi,
Long-time lurker here.
I came across your blog while looking for swimming pools and you had written about the pool at the Hilton I believe.
I happened to read your post for yesterday. It is so hard when a pet is ill. They are family. It makes one feel so helpless. I am thinking good thoughts for you and Sweetie.
Take care,
Laura
Hi Naomi. It's been a long, long time since I visited because I stopped blogging for quite awhile. But I'm trying it again, and am happy to see you are still blogging. Your Sweetie is a gorgeous kitty and lucky to have you to love him so much. Nice to see you again girl. I'll be back. xoxoxo
Hey Naomi, with your latest update I'm sure it brought some cheers to you and to us too. We are thinking of you & Sweetie and I'm sure everything will be just fine.
I am sending postive vibes your way. I can only imagine how upset you must be - our pets are our family!..Joan
I've been keeping you and the little guy in my thoughts.
Well, if the steroids haven't kicked in yet and he's eating better and pooping normally, that IS a good sign and I'm happy to hear this!! I will continue to pray for you and your Sweetie, my friend. It breaks my heart to hear he's not with you, but I'm glad to know he's receiving the best care and attention at the hospital.
Please continue to keep us posted. Any good news is great news!
It's got to be so draining on you to be so worried about him. I'm so sorry.
I'm glad he's shown some positive progress. I pray it continues and that the steroids will help him feel better enough to come home to your loving arms.
xo
STEROIDS! Sweetie will never be allowed to compete in the Kitty Olympics now! :-)
Seriously.... I was pleased to see your update on Sweetie's condition, even though nothing definite has been determined. Good to know that there has been some improvement in his inner plumbing. Keeping fingers crossed.... he'll soon be home with his mama!
Your last update is good news (did you ever imagine you would be happy and hopeful because of poop?).
I will keep my fingers crossed for a speedy and full recovery.
So glad to know you love him so much.. i have tears running down my face thinking of you losing your best friend.. He is so sweet looking in that photo you have of him.. They are so well mannered and its hard to let them go when its time but it sounds like its not his time and i am happy to hear that. I hope he comes home soon and you can keep him until he's a ripe old age and ready to be gone from this world..
Baby steps, but that is good news. I'll be thinking of both you and him.
I adore cats and have 2 of my own (in fact one is curled at my feet right now).
Your cat is gorgeous, but I'm sure he knows that :)
Oh Naomi, I'm glad to see the update. I sure hope and pray he gets to come home and gets okay again. I was wondering how old is Sweetie?
I'm hoping for the best Naomi!
Love and hugs dear lady. Hang in there!!
So glad to read this update on your beautiful baby! Continuing prayers for you and him both
My Miss Chloe had inflammatory bowel disease many years ago and they gave her one steroid shot and said it might last for 8 weeks..... it is now at least 12 years later and she is getting cranky from her age (17), but still eating ok and not losing weight. Hoping Sweetie gets feeling much better.
Still thinking of you and Sweetie Naomi, I just can't get the internet very often at the moment.
Glad to hear the news is slightly better.
Just know I'm thinking about you even though I'm not around so much. XXXXXXX
Naomi, wish you would post just a "hello" so we will know you and your kitty are both all right. It has been a long time since you posted xoxoxo
