More To Come.......
Update: Sweetie is ever so much better with each passing day....,,The dreaded medicines are doing their work, and he is not only eating really well, but he has perked up considerably, too....And his energy level? Excellent. You should see him racing away from the very sweet young woman who comes to give him his meds each day.....He is 'faster than a speeding bullet'.....truly! I am very very pleased, as you can well imagine.....All of your thoughts and prayers have really been an important component in his recovery...He says....Purrrrrrrr, and so do I!
The changes in the flower are amazing and most-definitely symbolic. Love the purple!
I'm also very happy to hear that Sweetie is speeding around your home and eating well. He's back. :)
Hugs to you and your Sweetie!! xo
Let's see if I have enough words for this flower: stunning, exquisite, beautiful, gorgeous, delicious and joyful! I would love to have some time with that flower to photograph it but I have very much enjoyed seeing your pics.
I am so happy to hear that Sweetie is doing so well. I know it must be a weight off your mind. I am sure it won't be long before he is completely well again.
Poor Sammy is not faring so well and has become very depressed. It's been a month since his leg problems first started and it still persists. He hates his cone and looks so sad these days and has started to have an upset tummy due to stress. Trouble is, if I take the cone off, he licks the leg and makes it bleed (back to square 1). Poor little chap.
you know how to put a smile on my face! I am so happy Sweetie is doing so much better!
that Bromiliad is just gorgeous Naomi!! "Exquisite" is the right word for it! and of course the photography of it is nothing less than perfection! :o)
God Bless Sweetie!! I am so glad to know that he is perking up and getting his energy back.
Those flowers are so beautiful. I remember seeing lots of them in Hilton Head in the past. I don't care much for pink, but in those flowers I celebrate it!
What wonderful photos, Naomi. There are worlds within blossoms, I think. Thank you so much for posting these. And I am so glad Sweetie continues to improve!
Your flower pictures would make beautiful wall hangings. What an amazingly beautiful bloom.
I was so pleased to hear you have someone to give Sweetie his meds. I worked with rescue animals for 15 years and still quake in fear at the thought of pilling a cat.
Sounds like he is pretty much his old self. Amen.
I'm glad he continues to be on the mend. As for the photo, mankind's greatest art cannot complete with the beauty of nature, methinks.
Cheers.
As always great pic's Namoi, am glad to read that sweetie is on the mend.

Naomi the nurturer. Of flowers and plants, of beautiful photos, of friendships, and of lovely feline companions. Keep up the good work!
Sweetie, I have always enjoyed your comments on my blog. They always give me paws. So glad you are feeling better! You are as pecious and beautiful as the flower in you BM's photo. (Oops) Have a purrrrfect day!
First of all: Puuur - mieoow back to Sweetie. We are really happy he is so quickly recovering.
This flower is nothing but magic, like your photos. It's amazing to see the devellopment of the flower.
Stunning beauty;)
btw. We had a great time during the OsloBG event. And with the Swedes and French in our Winterhome, I felt like a honoured Guest. They prepared all the meals, did the cleaning and washing and dishing. Excellent service: 5-Star hotel. LOL.
That's a beautiful flower! It's my first to see a fine specimen like that. :)
What a spectacular flower and great pix too! I've never seen anything like it. Also glad Sweetie's energy levels are up. That's a very good sign.
A real flower that is stranger than fiction. It was pretty enough and then it bloomed purple. Stunning and stunned me!
Glad to hear the good report on Sweetie!
Well done Sweetie! Good boy:)
Another exquisite bloom seen through the eyes of an artist.
I love how the muted green leaves are the perfect backdrop to the flower.
Dear Naomi,
First of all I am so glad and so happy to hear the good news about lovely Sweetie! It's great that he speeding around and eating well.
Gorgeous photos! The pink and purple interior flowers are really stunning!

I am so glad to hear about Sweetie. A person worries so about their babies.
The flower is gorgeous in all its stages. Amazing beauty.
naomi, this post is simply stunning. from the photography, to your poetic wording, through the powerful symbolism and last (but not least) to your message of good news about sweetie! wow, lady. simply wow.
Yay for Sweetie and what a beautiful flower. Sweetie is more beautiful though and that's my opinion on that.
I don't think I've ever seen those colors in a bromilliard flower. They are lovely flowers, aren't they? So glad to read the update on Sweetie.
So so beautiful! I love how you've given us such an insight into this flower. Wonderful pictures.
I'm so glad to read how well Sweetie is doing. It's great news. :)
Naomi-
as always I love your wonderful posts!
I will be adopting another baby (kitty, of course) again soon, and I hope I am able to have the luck I've had in the past to welcome one in with a great personality! Wish me some luck if you will-
Thanks

I'm so delighted to hear about Sweetie!! I had to laugh at the picture in my mind of him running from the girl who comes to give him his meds!!
The flower is so pretty! I saw one of these in the lobby/garden area of a hotel once, and I took several photos! The colors are truly amazing!!
Hugs & love to you and Sweetie!!
Beautiful flower! I have never seen anything like that.
So very glad that your Sweetie is feeling better.
This flower is indeed beautiful -- I've never seen this delicate combination before.
Sorry your Sweetie is ill, but glad recovery is continuing.
That is great news.. I hope he stays on recovery going the right direction.. Well i am off to take my afternoon nap before work tonight.I found a full time job and its 3rd shift.. So i am off to take a nap and then feed my family..
Best news I've heard for awhile! I'm back in the UK again, I do feel a long way way away from you again now!
I haven't stopped thinking about Sweetie and his recovery.
I can't make any other comment than GORGEOUS! What incredible colours in the Bromiliad flower. I'm so glad you posted those pictures.
And I'm very happy to hear that You Know Who is getting his energy back. Pretty soon he'll be so lively that the girl who comes to give the meds won't be able to catch him at all!
Blessings to you and your loved one. I sometimes take my own for granted. Like the bromeliad flower- a first for so many - I had forgotten the joy felt when first seen. Thank you for posting
I'm so happy to read that Sweetie is doing so well
Iza and Siren send love
the flowers are amazing, the colors are so wonderful
especially the purples
Naomi, have you seen those photo books that you can do yourself online. You choose your photos and upload them online and put it in a book for processing. You get to choose the size of the book, the colour, number of pages etc. I do so think all your exquisite photos of your flowers etc would be stunning. You are so talented and it would wonderful to have all these photos together in a coffee table book. My mother turned 80 late last month and I did one for her from baby photos onwards. Hard to keep it to 45 pages but the photos were ones I loved of her. She was very excited. Anyway, I go on and on....sorry.
