cute guys

Riding around my neighborhood, back almost a year ago, with my friend Randy, we came across this adorable cat......He was kind of there on this balcony thingy, outside one of the window of his home. He seemed to be very relaxed and definitely seemed to be enjoying observing the neighborhood from this perch.....Isn't he adorable? I loved the way he was just 'hanging' there....... And I love that his tail is just 'hanging' there, too.....So very cute! I mean look at this darling face.....! I just love that he was taking in the sun and the beautiful day and watching everything that was going on......I don't know what he saw down below him---there in the street---but he was definitely looking at everything....Including down the street to his left.... And up the street to his right, too, and observing just about everything and anything around him...He truly seemed interested in everything and as I said---he was very relaxed about it........!At a certain point, he was ready to go back inside.....And, he did!You know I love cats. I truly do. I love when all of you show us pictures of your dear feline pals.....And of course, I love my own dear dear little sweetheart----"Sweetie"......And I don't think he would mind me posting these pictures of one of our neighbors......But just in case....Here are some sweet shots of my son........ These are not new pictures, but he looks so pretty in all of them---and pretty darn cute, too, don't you think? Look at that adorable little red tongue.....His fur looks so good in all these pictures. These were all in-between "mattings"....these days, I don't let his fur get to the point where it is so matted he has to be shaved......We actually do the shaving now, l-o-n-g before it gets to that horrendous stage..... Here he is in one of his favorite places....His Condo in The Dining Room....He sure looks cute hanging out in there. I love this picture above....Sweetie was kind of hiding underneath the chair and over on the right side of this picture is a ceramic sculpture of an Egyptian Cat---a rather humorous rendition.....Sweetie doesn't mind him at all. I'm not sure how he would take to having a "live" kitty cat in the house......No need to worry about that, my dear boy---it ain't gonna happen! Above is one of my very favorite pictures of dear Sweetie....He is looking up at his Condo, I think.....His eyes are Soooo very blue! Gorgeous! And above....there he is sitting on top of his Condo.....But I think my most very favorite picture of all is this one below...... LOL, LOL......Leaping into his Condo.....I was thrilled to catch him midway.....! He is the sweetest dearest cat in the whole world. I love my Sweetie with all my heart, and he loves me too....!And he is as sweet as his name---maybe even sweeter. He is 'The Best Of The Best'.....And, 'The Best In Show' in my house, for sure.......And a very Happy St. Patrick's Day to you all........!

More To Come.........

That cat on the balcony made me laugh. Love his pose and the way he's observing the neighborhood. All he needs are a pair of binoculars and he could star in the kitty version of Rear Window! lol

Your Sweetie is ADORABLE, btw. I knew a cat like that named Sinatra who they called "Blue Eyes."

Did you know I have a white cat with blue eyes, too? His name's Kimba, and he's gorgeous but he's afraid of his own shadow! He's partly blind as well, poor little guy...they say white cats with blue eyes usually are.

PS - I love the action shot of Sweetie bolting into his condo! :D

Are you sure that cat on the balcony wasn't stuck? :D

Alas, dear, I'm not a cat person, though I'm sure they're good companions. It's just that when I get within three feet of one, my eyes tear up and my sinuses explode.

Cheers.

Sweety is adorable. My dad has a female cat named Sweetums. A gray and white ragdoll cat with beautiful blue eyes.

I enjoy watching cats in the neighborhood.

Oh lovely! I'm a cat person as well. I love the sweet one hanging out on his balcony - boy would I love to write the dialogue as he looks up and down the street.

Your Sweetie is a beauty. Is he a Ragdoll or the Persian with the doll face nose (not sure of my nomenclature here)? I've had Ragdolls and they are so loving but then I'm a sucker for most cats, dogs too truth be told.

I really enjoyed the photographs. Thank you for sharing.

That balcony cat looks like he is happy. I bet every cat would like to have a balcony like that. You said you didn't think Sweetie would like to have a cat friend but how is he with people? Now that I think about it, I can't remember seeing him in any of your house party pictures.

(my word verification was "nooken" which sounds like a pet name for a cat in some other language. "Come to Mami, my leetle nooken!")

BEAUTIFUL cats. Those eyes...wow. My first pet was a cat. So special. After 52 years I claim "dog person" status. I love the way dogs need me. I must be insecure. (Plus I have had a few crazy cats.)

There is without doubt something with Cat - Human relationships that science have not so far have found interesting to study:
Why does small Cats (now named domestic) and humans so well can live together?
Since ancient Egypt and even before that.
For us it's simple:
- We love the Cats
- We can communicate with Cats, no language problems
- Cats does free us from vermins
- Cats heals humans
- Cats gives humans pleasure
- Cats are best and trusted friends
- Cats does play and make humans happy

etc etc

Naomi, you know we love Cats, as you do.

btw. A new cue this week. You are of course very close;))

NeighborCat reminds me of that cartoon cat Felix. He almost doesn't look like a real cat. So chubby and cute!

Sweetie totally has "people" eyes. Some animals, when they look at you, you just KNOW they've got something to say behind their eyes. He looks like that to me.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Like Randall I'm not a cat person but I love to watch them and my son has four.
The cat on the balcony is SO attractive but Sweetie reigns supreme and never seems to age.
I'm intrigued by the condo which looks like a lamp shade. I've never seen anything like it.

Sweetie has the most amazing eyes no? Gorgeous pussy cat. The cat on the balcony is in a bit of an uncomfortable spot although it does have a bit of padding by the looks - a very chubby and beautiful cat.
