so very sweet

This is about the dearest Video I've ever seen......It was sent to me by a friend who is a true animal lover---as I know most of you are, and it had been sent to her by another animal lover......Enjoy!

If for some reason the Video does not play....here is the link to it on YouTube!

There are no words to convey the wonder and mystery of Antarctica -- what it is like to be amidst such an abundance of wildlife that is totally unafraid of humans. This video taken on the sub-Antarctic island of South Georgia. It shows a remarkable and loving interaction between a young ("weaner") elephant seal (probably weighing 300 pounds) and the lovely young woman who was the "hostess" on a ship (ran all the hotel aspects of our voyage). She also loved to get on land and be with the animals. This video was taken by her husband, who is an excellent chef on the ship. The video says it all. Watch it first for the seal, and then again for the penguins in the background.

WOW. My computer is so slow that I was able to sweep snow off a wrap around porch and walk the dog before it loaded. It was so worth the wait. Huge awww factor.

Oh my word. This is just perfect. And the woman has a Nikon around her neck but decides to forego the picture-taking and just live in the moment.

Thank you so very much for sharing this with us!

Eskimo kissing. I'd like to think I'd be that brave. I wouldn't want to get steamrolled by on of those big guys!

Really, the video is very sweet and made me smile a lot. I kept wanting to get a closer look at the penguins because they make me laugh.

What a rare and beautiful treat! I love how he/she kept looking back at her and inching closer and closer. I'd love to experience something like that. Thanks for sharing, my friend!!

Enchanting and hats off to her and her husband. She was very brave and restrained from not throwing her arms around the seal in spite of his physical cajoling.
I wonder if the large mound behind was a relative - not a very responsive one so maybe the seal is starved of affection.
The funniest thing was the upstaging by the penguins. Haven't you met actors like that?
Thanks for that Naomi

How beautiful. Why can't it all be like that? I guess that question is silly but if it was, how different the world would be today.
