a sweet sweetie video +

I took a little Flip Video of Sweetie playing with a toy that we've had for a long time. But I hadn't taken it out for "playtime" in a long time, and it was so much fun, I took the little video above....And as it turns out he was more interested in the other end of this toy....the end that I hold so I can dangle the "Toy" Toy in front of him.....Go Figure.....! And here below, are a few more pictures of the Food Dishes....Taken this morning...this shows what was actually left over, 24 hours later......

And someone came in wondering what I was doing, hoping "fresh" food would be forthcoming..... And of course there in the middle of the floor is the dish of dry food and that empty dish next to it was for his late night "treat", because on top of everything else, he gets 'a treat'....lol....Yeah, I know....many would say he already has had his treat with all those dishes of food! And here he is prowling about, wondering why I have not taken up those old crusty dishes and put down the new, fresh morning food, And swishing his tail a bit in this rather impatient manner, plus giving me a few words....... And there he is above, still prowling and almost saying, "Where is my fresh food, WHERE is my fresh food???" Okay. Okay. Okay. It's coming! Ahhhhhh, here is that First dish, above.....And so, we start the process all over---which we do every day, come rain or come shine....I had to open the 2nd can within about three minutes of the first! (lol)...And the third....well, I'm too embarrassed to tell you....! And as you can see...he really likes that third dish, but he needs to break it all up by going for some more of his special dry food! And so, another day begins up here on the hill......And I have got one happy cat!

More To Come.......

Naomi, when I hit play I heard your voice all the way through. But the video did not play at all--all I saw was the opening shot thoughout. ???? wish i could help--but I don't have a clue.

Sweetie looks a really fit, healthy, happy cat - and why wouldn't he? I wonder who wears the trousers in this relationship?
Mine (video)worked fine and I have just published photos - some of which have duplicated themselves for no obvious reason and I can't be bothered to try to delete. These things happen:)

You guys seem to have good days together. I like the length of that toy. I was taking a pen and doing that to Calista's paw the other night while she was lying in front of me and she ended up almost taking a finger off! Sweetie is adorable.

That is one pampered pussycat, but he seems like such a darling I can totally understand it :) I know what a great companion he is for you.

I loved the video! I love the way he tries to catch the toy between his paws, LOL! so sweet! I thought at one point he was going to fall off the side but he recoved in the nonchalant way cats do :) I am not going to show Bob the cat the food dishes that Sweetie has, I know he would be jealous and expect the same thing! He's fussy enough as it is! LOL!

that is sooooooo cute. I love cats and their interesting personalities. Yes, they do treat us as their servants but it's because we like it that way :)

Sweetie and his food bowls are way too cute. He is clearly a much, much loved companion -- you're lucky to have each other. I have dogs and horses, but my husband is allergic to cats, so I have to content myself with cuddles with the neighbor's kitty. (Such a love!)

Naomi, I found your blog some time ago, and although I haven't commented before, I'm an avid reader. I adore your photos and your stories.

I was amused back around Christmas when you posted some Christmas card photos, and there was one from Tom Skerritt. Theoretically (fingers crossed -- find out next week) in March I'm going to be taking a screenwriting class that he co-teaches. Small world!

I've never had a cat, but my daughter has one which moved in and took her over when she moved into her new hosue - and her tales of its antics just confirm to me that cats think they rule the world :)

BTW I promise to start blogging like a blogger again, I just updated again but I am not sure if the video is messing up my page.

That is one spoiled kitty.
I should talk, I have a dog here that's pretty spoiled, but she's a good dog.
I'm surprised he's not over weight, but he looks fine!

Can I come to your house and be your cat?

Hello, Michele sent me this time - and I had to come back to see dear Sweetie playing again. Killian would probably like to meet up with Sweetie...and maybe get to sleep on a different bed other than his mommie's bed.

Hey Lady! Michelle sent me!

Your sweetie is a sweetie! I scrolled down and found the picture of him(?) snoozing. What a hoot!

My kitty insists that I fill the bathroom sink with cool water every night before I go to bed. (Actually, he just walked in to give me my stare down. He is ready for his water.) If I ever would be so inconsiderate as to forget our nightly ritual, he comes into my bed and bats my head until I get up.

Oh our kitties, how I love 'em!

He's SO handsome. I really do think he needs to try out for that Fancy Feast commercial....get an agent for Sweetie!

Dear Naomi of the Hills...
I haven't been here for a day and I just had to come and see you. I have been so happy because of Minerva's good news...NO MORE CANCER!!
And now this video of yours is just the icing ion the cake!
You have such a beautiful voice. My sister, Sandra has a comforting voice like that..
How old is Sweetie?
One of these fine days I will have to post his picture on my blog with a little write up if you don't mind??
What kind of cat food are you feeding that spoiled kitty?
Shopper will only eat Friskies!
I think that there ought to be a law somewhere that those cats should work for their keep!!!

Take care my dear new friend of the Hills...You are NOT an old old lady at all!!!!...Love Terry

I'll have to read on down and see what you had to say about the food dishes in your previous post.
Sweetie sure enjoys playing. It's funny how he stopped when the toy stopped, then he investigated it a bit to see if it would come back to "life" again.
I can see by the photos in this post that Sweetie is WELL taken care of. He doesn't realize just how good he's got it!!

Happy and blessed. And you're happy and blessed for having him.

You've reminded me why I miss having a cat around the house. They have such unique, deep and engaging personalities that one would have to be made of stone to not be moved by them.

As always, thank you for these glimpses into your special, inspirational world.

He really is a prince ! He "dares" to play with you, but only to please you and then what a service !! So many plates for one cat, lol ! But he is so beautiful that he has to be treated like a prince !

I just wanted to tell you that today I have a very special little video on my blog. It is absolutely hilarious and shows the demolition of several houses in Brussels. It happened last week. They did it so good, that the neighbor found himself with a toilet without wall..
I found it on a Belgian blog;

After you telling me about those dishes, now I understand. Sweetie is so cute and I don't blame you for spoiling her. Pets really do relieve me from stress. I don't have any now as my hands are too full with the kids. But I used to have a dog who was really so spoiled. He doesn't drink water without ice on it. He does not like canned goods. He loves hotdog. His favorite food is chicken adobo (that's a filipino dish). He passed away after 11 years of giving me pleasure.
