The Dear Bee's (my name for them...) are still coming around and visiting flowers that produce wonderful "juice", here on the hill....It warms my heart that we are still seeing bee's pollinatimg---if indeed, that is what they are doing.
I don't know a whole lot about anything, but I do know this: (And it is probably all I actually do know....), these Bees are definitely very happily drinking in, or, chomping up, or, 'supping' away on these Senecio Flowers.
Doesn't it look like he has sunglasses on? Except they are on his backside...(lol)...In actuality, these little curly cues are part of the flowers of the Senecio.....Believe it or not, this is the first time I actually realized that the bees like these flowers, too....
I like this picture....And you can see those little curly cues really good! These flowers have some kind of delicious nectar which the bees seem to adore....Below is another photograph of this same bee from a slightly different angle.....
I am always amazed at how intent these bees are on the task at hand. They don't seem to pay any attention to me I'm happy to say, because they are just too busy doing their thing.....Here is another one below, caught by my camera as he gets ready to lite on these blossoms....
I love this next picture below because you can see little droplets of nectar on the bees wings....I don't remember ever having seen this before...I'm sure it happens all the time, but I've never captured it before....
There are some more pictures and I will post them next time....For now, I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend....It has cooled down considerably here in Los Angeles and it feels wonderful....

Love the photos! Nice to see how everything works out the way it should. I learned last week that the size and shape of hummingbirds' beaks is in direct correlation to the flowers they help pollinate. Quite amazing things.

OMIGOD - I was impressed by the pictures of hummingbirds, but these easily outclass those.....
What amazing pictures of our much maligned bee.
Brits are irrationally fearful of bees, classing them with wasps. I like bees and like to watch them as they flit from flower to flower.
I 'embiggened' the photo of the bee with nectar on his wings, and you could see the droplets :-)

Just yesterday I was watching a bee on my butterfly bush and thinking I needed to take a picture of it. You beat me to it again! Great shots and I've never seen dew on a bee's wings, probably because I don't get that close. I'm allergic to their stings. We have mostly the type of bees that live in the ground. They look like a cross between a bee and a beetle. They're rather large and slow moving, but they don't sting. I like them just fine.
