A few wonderful plants called "succulents"..... The colors and the shapes.....fabulous! I never ever tire of looking at these beautiful creatures. One is more beautiful than the other....! And then there is this next beauty....a Dudley Britonni And finally....here are some delicate flowers from another succulent.... I sure do love my plants....every one of them is a living sculpture....

I'm trying to figure out if it's your photography skills or if it's your plants themselves that make the pictures jump out at you? Probably a little of both. Great job on these!

I don't think I'll ever look at plants again in the same way. Your blog with all it's close up GREAT photos bring to life what sometimes we miss just by looking at flowers as a whole. I hope this makes sense, but I just love the pictures you post! Nature truly is amazing and these are all beauties! They do look like sculptures! The textures and the shapes are fantastic!

Hi Naomi...Been working with a project that has kept me busy on my computer and just tonight looked at your last few posts about roses, flowers, fabulous art and succulent plants. They are as always a joy to see and read about and I love visiting your site.

You are right Naomi (in regards to the comment on my blog), most of the time a great photo comes from the actual photographer, not the camera. I now know it is you that is the brilliant photograher and not mearly just your camera. *smile*

Wonderful macro Naomi. I thought the first one was lettuce it looked so edible! I have that 2nd one from the end...we call it a hen in a basket, is that the same thing? It is one of the few that will grow here and it is enjoying this humidity and heat!

Hi Naomi,Just touching base, Karen is nowhere to be found today. Bobby came home this week, so had to click on your blog, to see what is new. And you just made my day it is the most interesting thing have had to look at all week:) And Friday's at work are very l o n g. Thank you once again, for sharing your talent with all of us:) My husband grows veggies for a living, and for what ever reason, God has really blessed all that he grows, and have been amazed, at just how perfect, the shapes and colors, and smells this year, that too amazes me. Wish sometimes that I had the talent that someone like your self has, just to capture, some of nature that surrounds, us and we take for granted. But once again, thank you for the great post.

You know, Naomi, I never really cared for cacti. I always thought of them as waxy, hard, thorny...but you make them look like something Michangelo has sculpted. Thanks for the eye opener! I will now view them in a much different perspective.

You know I can honestly say I was never a fan of succulents but seeing yours....well I didn't realize they truly had so much beauty. Would they be good in containers on a porch for someone with a not so green thumb?

Hi naomi! Indeed nature's endowment pleasurable to eyes -- nice soft edges on leaves. It's amazing these changes in color when the weather becomes really hot.

I am in awe once again. I can't figure out how you get such amazing pictures! I took a bunch in Maine, along with all the other pix waiting on posts I haven't done yet. Soon I'll show you how I'm progressing with my camera, which would be slowly. :-)
