beauty that heals

Here it is. The "arrangement" that I got for myself on Wednesday .....So very lush and beautiful...So very many lovely colors and shapes...So healing....just looking at it makes me feel so much better....Flowers, nothing like them....The above picture has been soft focused around the edges just for 'effect'....Here is the same picture below, without those soft edges.... The only reason I did that soft focus thingy is because my table is filled with shells and small sculptures, etc...(And then there's the rug, too....)and I found it a bit distracting...But I must say, the second picture really pleases me, a whole lot!

Here below, is another view of this wonderful arrangement....
A closer look.....I just love all these flowers and the colors....this designer/florist does such beautiful work....and he delivered the flowers himself because I wanted him to see that dried arrangement that I have posted....I showed him pictures of the arrangement, (Another example of his artistry....) which I took on December 23rd, and then showed him the way it looks today.....He enjoyed seeing both!

One more lovely view, below.....
And here, below, is a closer look at one of the pale green carnations....That is a carnation, isn't it? Oh, I just love all these colors together....it pleases the painter in me, more than I can say....And yet another view of this yummy arrangement....these flowers look good enough to eat, I swear....There are more pictures and more views, of course....But I will only include one more for your pleasure, and mine. And here it is, below.... I am sure I will need to post more pictures of this very uplifting arrangement, but for today....join me in feasting your eyes on all of the above....and FYI: I am feeling so very much better, thank you very much....

More To Come......

Isn't that old Mother Nature just so inspiring....?

Uplifting is a good word :-)

I'm gonna have a go at baking bread today - so I can provide home made bread for Mrs Aginoth's hand churned butter.....

Sleep well darling, and dream of beautiful flowers....

I love roses!...and lilacs! ..not a very good combination though hahaha..

for whatever reason, they do make you feel better. I wonder why that is? Perhaps its the beautiful aroma they give.

I am SO happy to hear you're feeling better, Naomi.
Those flowers are extraordinary. I swear you have the most gorgeous flowers out there! And then factor in the "artist" that does the spectacular arrangement. It's truly awesome and I'm so impressed that you just ordered them for you, just because. I'm sure that added to perking you up. Glancing at those lush colors at will goes a long way to making one feel better. "I" feel better just viewing the photos of them! So thanks for sharing.

I'm glad to know that you're feeling better Naomi. I hope that your recovery continues until you feel better than ever.

I was happy to hear that the fire in the LA hills didn't hurt anyone. Given your health, I hope the smoke didn't blow your way. I'm sure that was some nasty stuff.

I glanced at your Emmy post below but want to read it with more focus before commenting. It's looks quite interesting, Naomi. I hope you get a chance to watch a lot of material before you have to vote.

I was thinking of you today when I saw teh pictures in our English papers of the fires in the area behind the Hollywood sign in LA.

I hope it stays a long way away!

I am so glad you're feeling better, Naomi. Although I was mostly disconnected this week because of my trip, I think you and I had a kinship, because I fell ill while I was in San Francisco.

I was walking to the Golden Gate Bridge when I suddenly felt incredibly green. I guess the travel and stress finally caught up with me. I grabbed what few pictures I could, then headed back, terrified that I'd lose it in the middle of a strange city, far from anyone I knew.

I made it back to my hotel - taking pictures on the bus whenever the nausea subsided enough - and went to bed. I spent the rest of the trip severely compromised, but I was able to attend all the events and participate actively in them.

Still, it's great to be home. Your flowers brought a smile to my face and to my heart. I wish you nothing but good health for now and forever.

Naomi, David Hyde Pierce was not in the show the night I saw it. I don't think he is doing it now. When I get home, I will look at the playbill again and see who was in the cast. None of them was familiar to me, except the woman who plays the chaperone is from NC (Beth Leavel).

Joared has asked me to tell you that she has not been able to leave a comment for you for some time now. It tells her she has the wrong password, or something like that. Is it okay if I give her your email address?

Naomi, thanks for recommending Lancaster. I really do want to go back. I have read some books about the Amish recently, and they are fascinating to me, plus that area is so beautiful.

The hotel was just amazing, for a residence Inn. The dining room was very nice and so tastefully decorated. It had ceilings about 20 feet up, and a curved staircase. My daughter is an attn'y at Marriott, so she was able to get us a very good rate!

No hotels in the city would give us the employee rate last week, due to the NIT, I guess. The best rate we could get in the city was about $400 per night!

Gorgeous. Simply gorgeous. I got roses for my anniversary a week and a half ago that were spricot in the middle with red tips. They are now dried and mixed in with my other roses and flowers from previous times. I can't wait for the roses in my yard to start blooming.

I hope you keep getting better quickly, we have all been struck by the virus at our house too. Blech
