Bless All The Veterans And Bless All Those That Are Still Fighting Each And Every Day.....

Bless all our boys and girls, this Veteran's Day and Remembrance Day, Naomi.
'Lest we forget'

Veteran's and Remembrance day to all Americans and also to you dear Naomi!
It's Remembrance Day here, although there are some who shun it, sadly enough.
Michele sent me here.
We must never forget those who have fought for our freedom. God Bless all our troops and all veterans of all wars.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend Naomi!!
That is a very powerful image indeed. An artist (might be the same one?) did something similar here with an image of Myra Hindley (Moors murderess in the 1960's).
I agree with your post wholeheartedly. It is Armistice Day over here:
A two minute silence is observed at 11am on 11th day of the 11th month because this is when the Great War, or World War 1, came to end in 1918.
But now, this anniversary is used to remember all the people who've died in wars since World War 1. Collections are made and people wear a poppy in rememberance (as the fields in France were littered with Poppies after the war and they represent the red of blood).
We will remember them.
I think this day concerns all involved countries of the first and second world war ! So many lives lost. Bush's mosaic face is really a masterpiece ! I really admire its creator. I have sent it to several of my friends.
Thank you so much for your comments on my paintings. I am really happy when I hear that people like them ! That gives me a "pop" to start another one ! (lol)
My husband, young as he is, is a veteran as well, courtesy of the War on Terror. I will always honor this holiday, knowing that his picture could have been one of those making up Bush's face. Luckily, his is not.

Hello again. I am here via Michele's so this is my second visit to you today :-). It's always a pleasure and I am glad you enjoyed the video on my blog. I am going out shooting some more footage of the sword fight tomorrow and we are trying out some different techniques. Hopefully I eill have the complete sequence to post soon.
Hopefully, no one will ever forget....
But I think some people need to be reminded of who is making the ultimate sacrifice for power ..... particularly certain nation leaders.

D'oh!!
Did it again! I'd forget my head if it wasn't screwed on...

Thank you to all who have made and kept our country free. Thank you for those who have given us the PRIVILEGE to have Freedom, for it is a privilege, not a "RIGHT". Many of our citizens today feel "entitled"... not a good mindset. Thank you to those who enlist in the military, who still feel the call of duty, who still believe in the ideals of freedom.
That picture says more than any words can! avery powerful image .welldone to the creator
It is so good of you to post this, Naomi, and I say AMEN and DITTO to every word!
That picture was unreal. It said it all
I get overwhelmed thinking about it.
Oh, now I know why I didn't get any mail today!
Thanks for your comment on little Julia...
I appreciate your post about this important day. I am a Veteran of the USAF, my husband is active duty Army.
and that picture of bush hits home....

Remembrance Day here in Canada as well.
We paused for 2 minutes in prayer on the 11th hour as we remmeber them on this 11th day of the 11th month.
"The meaning of their sacrifice rests with our collective national consciousness; our future is their monument."
Hello from Michele.
We are honouring our vets today since it is Remembrance Day. Thanks for remembering yours.
So glad someone wrote a great post about Veterans' Day! Amen to what you said, and thank goodness we've at least learned from history in that our country is not taking out frustrations on our soldiers when they return from war. My Aunt is in Iraq right now and I worry about her, but I know she's blessed to be in a much safer place then most of our troops. I loved the picture you posted!
Nice to see you again Lady. Michele sent me today.
my grandad was a world war II veteran, so we were always taught to honor and respect veterans. unfortunately, it doesn't seem the norm- they tend to get lost in the fray. great post to honor them!
Great post and an awesome picture! Happy Veteran's Day. Here from Michele's
A soldier in camo and beret pulled up next to me at a light today in a suburban minvan or SUV. A rather statling thing.
Not enough is made of Veterans Day. There will sure be a lot more to honor in the years ahead.
Hello! Just trying out my new face....how do I look?!
I'm not sure what to say, not being American. I do honour my grandfather's contribution in World War 1, and I also honour my father who refused to fight in World War 2, and his friends who also refused to fight, helping to create an environment in which many New Zealanders now think peacemaking is more honourable than fighting.
The art is stunning.

Michele again :-)
That picture is really something - they should post it up all over the states.....

Michele sent me over, Naomi.
This all reminds me of theories of justice from ancients like Plato to Kant to Rawls. Are our actions judged by our intentions or by the results of our actions? It's a tough question and I doubt anyone will ever be able to come up with a global answer. It needs to be viewed case by case.
WW2, Vietnam, Iraq. The conflicts themselves and individual activities within the conflicts. It's all a lot to consider as the holiday of Veteran's Day is upon us.
What a nice post in honor - I do hope your veterans day was good Naomi!
Btw: Thanks for your birthday greeting - hope you'll join me in my blog anniversary too:-)
The picture of Bush is very powerful and sad.
Here from Michele's.
I know what I would like to do with the mosaic of Bush...but I won;t say. I came by because I also voted for OPRAH on Jean Luc's site!
Dear Naomi, I make mine your words: "Bless All The Veterans And Bless All Those That Are Still Fighting Each And Every Day...."
Peace and Love!
Thank you for such a beautiful reminder.

Happy Veteran's Day !
Naomi, I think this is the BEST Veteran's Day post I've seen yet! I was a little too busy to put together anything for the day yesterday -- but I have Grandfather, father, brother and daughter who are all veterans! I honor them alllllllllll the time! And I think you have just put together a fabulous rememberance here! (that pic of Bush is really something!)
Hi, here via Michele's.
Of all the bloggers out there, Michele sent me to you! LOL I can't remember if I commented on this post or not, but I absolutely love the mosaic. Wonderful post as always! :)
What an amazing mosaic!
