On on that happy note...here is one more delightfully beautiful Rose surrounded by other beautiful colorful flowers....
And below, one more very pretty little Orchid. A gift to me on my Birthday at the end of June from a very dear dear man.... This is a little Orchid....smaller than any of the others that I have had or still have....Talk about your lucious colors...my my my....just stunning and perfect in every way...! Once again, nature takes my breath away....
More To Come.....
I love your flower posts, Naomi! You seem to have as much love for the flowers as I do, and a genuine appreciation for them. Thanks for sharing.
Your roses and orchids look out of this world! Beautiful!
Beautiful flower pictures. I could almost feel the velvet of the petals and smell the sweet fragrance from the roses. Something very welcome with my own roses a long way from blooming again
They are beautiful Naomi and I did click on them to see them larger! Even more lovely that way! Roses are so glorious in all their colors. I have never had an orchid. The colors in that last one were awesome!! Great pictures as usual!!!
Those are gorgeous...thanks for sharing.

Wow! How do you always get so many happy flowers??!! Ha! I love the peachy roses.
Oh, the pink rose is absolutely breathtaking! I attended a meeting in Santa Barbara twenty years ago and went to a famous orchid nursery near there. It was fabulous. I can keep African violets alive but usually kill the orchids.
I want to stick my nose into those. The orange ones look like frosting on cake... good enough to eat. They are happy and spread happiness!
Oh PS...Naomi, Those were "couch potatoes"....not cookies!
Reallllllllllllllllllly Marvelous lovely and beautiful site
Kudos !!
your photography is always outstanding..
I can't look at a rose without thinking of my friends the Kelley's who had a whole varied rose garden in their front yard and a second in their back yard!.. oh how i loved when they'd call me over because they had cut me some roses!!
Nice plants! Orchids shudder when I walk by - as they should. I've been guilty of killing a few in my time (not intentionally of course)
These are all so lovely I would be hard pressed to say which is my favorite! Probably the roses. :)
Gorgeous! I could stare at that luscious pink rose for hours!
I must inhale once again... ahhhhh!
Oh, yes, Michele sent me!
As I've said before you really do take wonderful pictures and I love the one of the white orchid. I have the exact same one in my bathroom. I also have one that has just re-flowered adn it has such rich purple mini blooms. I do hope they last until I get back from NY!
Hallo Naomi! You have the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen! Lovely!
Anyway, have a nice weekend and Happy Thanksgiving!
Hi again! Thanks so much for the suggestions - I have made sure they are all on my list! I leave for NY in the wee small hours of Sunday morning (take off at 7am) and I can't wait until I get there and I can start exploring!! I am so so so excited!! I'll take loads of pics and share them when I get back. Meanwhile I hope you are well. :-)
Oh I just love Orchids. I just don't have very much luck with them:-). Beautiful flowers..
Just gorgeous! The detail and focus is amazing! Love the water droplets on the peach roses.
I'm pretty sure I'm smelling that pink rose, too, Naomi. Stunning images as always.
I thought of you this week as I circled a large-ish table in the lobby of my hotel and thought about how I wanted to capture the orchids in the big glass vases in the middle. I thought you'd find it funny that I was making a public spectacle of myself :)
Popped by from Michele's tonight. I'll be back again soon.
I love those last two rose photos - pink doesn't do much for me but shades of apricot, peach, coral (whatever you like to call them) do it for me every time. Michele sent me.
one of the wonderful things about visiting you is that you share so much beauty. today its natural floral beauty, yesterday you showed the beauty of your spirit, sometimes we see the beauty of your home... and george. It is always a pleasure to visit your blog and "spend time in your company"... no wonder so many folks give you beautiful flowers.
So beautiful post, Naomi! Your orchids and roses look stunning!
Your photography as always are fantastic! I have in my porch exactly the first and the second one. By the way, love this corner of your living room!
Have a nice weekend!
Orange roses in particular have always been my favorite roses. :)
Beautiful (card-worthy) photos.

i've never seen orchids like those in the first couple of pictures. they are so pristine that they almost don't look real- like they are made out of paper. very pretty!
Just wanted to say bye before I go away for the week. I'll come 'visit' when I get back adn will hopefully have some photos to share!
Loverly flowers!
I took some time and read several of your recent posts.
The Primal Scream stuff sure is interesting. I could use some of that therapy about now. :)
We are all set to move in to our house over the Thanksgiving weekend. My college semester ends on Dec. 11th. After I get settled, I will begin posting and blogging regularly again.
Congrats on having not smoked for so many years! That is a glorious accomplishment.
Happy one year blogiversary! I'm so glad you are a blogger and share so many interesting things with your blog buddies. We enjoy your posts so much, and I know you enjoy our visits. :-)
I have great news! My brother will be performing along with The Bonner Singers at the White House on Dec. 20th. He is their pianist and will be tickling the White House ivory with delight!! I hope C-SPAN carries it, so I can record the performance.
I hope this note finds you doing well. I wish you a warm and calorie-filled Thanksgiving. Enjoy it to the fullest. Eat with abandon and feel no guilt. That is what I plan to do. The guilt will come later when I try to fasten my skin tight jeans. :)

well, never mind all the nevers...i love the photos of your orchids, they are spectacular.
BOY! You sure have some niiiiiiice friends to be sending you and bringing you all these LOVELY arrangements! When I send arrangements they are NEVER that pretty! ( i always HOPE they will be ... but they just aren't) I absolutely LOVE those orchids up top! Just gorgeous! And those peachy colored roses! My HEART! Too pretty!
It's so obvious your great love for flowers and nature. Those flowers are stunning and the yellow roses are my favorite....I almost think I can smell the fragrance. And the orchids...such beauty!
That orchid plant is so beautiful. I love those flowers.
You are so right about the pink orchid, just by looking at it, it's as though you can smell it.
The peach & white roses have to be my favorite. The petals on the peach ones are so beautiful, especially the outer petal.
Naomi, you take the most beautiful pictures. Thanks for sharing them with us.
