I just spent over two hours composing a new post and when I went to save it as a draft....IT TOLD ME THAT THAT PAGE WASN'T AVAILABLE!!! And the next thing I knew, Blogger went Bye Bye!
Right now, I HATE Blogger! I'll try to get over it, BUT, it's the second time in two days it has done something weird, and I lost part of a post that I was working on for about three hours, the first time it screwed me over....
I'm disgusted.
I'm discouraged.
I'm dismayed.
I'm going to bed!
But first....I will post a beautiful peaceful picture, if blogger will let me, that is.....(i hate them....)
Ahhhhhh, maybe this will calm me down.....
Well, that helped...but I need something else.....hmmmm.....something else.....what could really lower my bloodpressure now?

Blogger can be such a jackass - but it is free! That happened to me a few times and I've started copying and pasting the post in my mail if it's a long one before I hit the post button.

I have heard of this and I have read people tend to write a draft using Word to avoid problems. Sorry it happened to you... lovely cat!

I hate it when that happens, I have lost posts a couple of thousand words long before now....masterpeieces that just flowed from my fingertipsas I typed...and you can never recreated them the moment, the spotanaity has gone....

Naomi, just write all your posts in Word (saving often as you write) and then when you're done copy and past it into Blogger. You will never lose a post again (that would drive me nuts!) and you won't have to worry about Bloggers' quirks.

I always write my blog entries in word processing and save them there too, and then cut and paste them into Blogger. They also get spell-checked in there and I have a second record of whatever I wrote. You know, in case I become famous or something. :)

Ohhh, sorry about your losing your post. That is a pain in the butt, so frustrating when that happens. It happened once to me but thankfully it was a small post! Anyway, I have read all these suggestions and I like the idea of doing it in word and then copying and pasting!

Thanks so much everyone for ALL your suggestions...I was too late for 'Restore Post', so...at least NOW I know where that is....and I thank all of you who brought that to my attention...And, as far as WORD is conceerned...I have used wird a number of times to write my posts, but now that the photo's are such an important, (to me) part of the posts, I find I need to have the photo's where I can play with them and place things 'at will'...I cannot do that in WORD...so, for me, the answer is to SAVE more often working in Bloggerr, so that IF that problem should happen again, I won't lose such a BIG CHUNK, as I did this A.M....Thank You ALL, very very much....

Oh, hon. So sorry. It happens to all of us. Infuriating, isn't it?! You can download that Blogger for Word thing. I haven't used it yet, tho. I'm more of a "write by the seat of your pants" girl myself. Not always a good thing!

Blogger can be such a poop-head at times.
On the blogger home page you can download an "add-on" for microsoft word. This enables you to write your post using word and save it as such. Then when it is all done you hit the publish button that is now on the word document... it is good. Especially for long posts.
You do need then to use proper blogger to upload pictures (I think) but at least your words don't get lost.

Yeah, I do my longer posts in Word as well. I'm sure you're kicking yourself now for not doing that....I hope it wasn't your AIDS day post...it's a fitting tribute and memorable...good job on it even if you had to post it twice. It was well worth the effort.
