A QUICKIE...

Here is a Cactus type plant, with an extraordinary flower.
Not the greatest photo in the world but the best I have at the moment.....

If you had to name this plant, what would you call it?

Sorry, no name for that. But the San Diego Balboa Park cactus garden is full of blooms on things that never look like they would have any part of them soft and colorful.
- did you figure out how to put photos where you want them?

Oh dear! Let's see. The flower part kind of reminds me of a poppy. So how about a "poppycactus?"

I like Margaret's desert rose. I have one tall cactus with white, sort of long flowers (?), missed a picture this year but I will show you that next summer! oh, and I should probably google images so that I can find its name.

ove the cactus, OLdOld, but I won't print here what I first thought when you asked about naming it! LOL

Thanks for the comment on the angel fan. I knew nothing about the artists before I started putting the fans on the blog. In fact, I am learning right along with you - and I am glad I started blogging about them so I know more about the fans. I bought them for their aesthetic value, but I never paid any attention to the artist's names before.

I'm going back to sleep. Maybe I'll wake up with something else on my mind.
