A SHORT POST....

Just had to tell you I saw three deer about three houses away from my house, last night, on my way back from Dr. Torture's (Back-Doctor Person...). They were as sweet as they could be....It really does my heart good that they are still up her on this hill, and as I've said before, with The Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland just a stone's throw away....well, that is a slight exageration, but you can walk there from my hill!

Everytime I see these beautiful animals I am reminded of how close all of nature still is right here in the heart of Hollywood, and I am reminded of the great great beauty that is right in front of my eyes, if I would just slow down, and stop and look.....

I'm working on part 3 of The Cotswolds/London Trip....be patient please..cause if I rush it, I make too many mistakes. I'm so happy that all this seems interesting to other people....

How marvelous! Deer are such timid, sweet creatures. I'm glad they bring you joy!

LOL Wendy--One might think it is! But that's the great thing about living in these Hills! And The Hills of Bel Air, too...Wildlife abounds, reminding you that they once roamed everywhere...God Bless them!

The deer are so pretty!! It's great that they are there. I always think of the poor animals when they have those awful fires out there.

Yes, we are interested in part 3, but we'll be patient so you can get all your memories collected!! We don't want you to leave anything out!!

I remember coming across a group of deer as I cycled home on a riverside bike path this summer.

I stopped my bike and just watched them for the longest time. It was an utterly magical moment.

Thanks for sharing this lovely moment with us.

Michele sent me.

Hi, Michele sent me. That is wonderful! I love when I see deer and moose near my house. But I live in a rural area, I am amazed you see them there!

We see dear all the time around here, and I always consider it a privilege, especially the babies.

Looking forward to part 3.

The back of our condo complex is the Cleveland Nat'l Forest. Just yesterday I read in the paper they're building a connector road to the 91 fwy. thru the hills. All these years we thought they couldn't build, but we were wrong. It's heartbreaking, so much wildlife will lose their home.
I love deers, they're so beautiful.

Beautiful Photo!

You asked about the two photo programs I use. First is Photo Explosion Deluxe, put out by Nova Developement. You can edit your photos, add text, add paint, add effects and decorate.
http://www.novadevelopment.com

Then there is Paint shop Pro, a Jasc software by corel. Another complete Photo and graphics program. http://www.corel.com

They are both great software! Paint shop even offers a lot of free plugins and other goodies to freely download and use when you buy their software.
Good Luck and keep in touch!

Oh, And I forgot that Paint shop pro will give you a 30 day free trial of their software, I can't remember if Photo Explosion does too or not. I think they do.
But anyway a free trial would be a good way to see if you like these photo programs as much as I do.

I have Paint Shop Pro 8 but I know they have a Paint Shop pro, 9, 10 and X, out now. And I saw a free 30 day trial for the X on their site ... that I gave you in my above comment.

So last night I pulled onto my street when I saw something to the left of the car. I slowed thinking it was my neighbor's dogs. Nooope! Momma and baby dear. Simply a beautiful sight. Then I laughed out loud as they froze and stared at me. Yeah....dear in headlights all the way!

Hmmm. I adore seeing deer, too. In fact, our wooded backyard that is like a forest is home to several deer. In fact, our daughters named them and felt like they were the pets we can't own because of allergies.

I am an artist(painter, photographer, jewelry designer, etc) so I sometimes creep out and catch a photo of them, but I'd rather watch because I don't want to scare them with my camera. (It's a far different story when I"m photographing my daughters and cast/crew after a theatre performance.)

You should see us all at the windows to our backyard, transfixed while the deer munch away or huddle together.

Digreesion: (If you're still awake munching in bed w/ your cats, you're human!!!!If I blogged about all my nocturnal habits, you all would dub me as weirder than I'm already known: LOL. I hope you fall asleep. I've not slept well since having a ton of major surgery on parts like my bladder so...it's not always age. It's 3 a.m. my time. I used to play online word games with other insomiacs like "upwords" or "scrabble." Oops should have tried to email you, but my machine froze. Sorry for long comment. Take care! :)- (This is my other blog)
