More To Come....................
Awww that's so cute. Love is in the air!
Lovely post Naomi. Well done for capturing the birds. It does look like that piece of cardboard could come crashing down on the ground though!
oh my gosh! how cute are the photo's of them "kissing"!!!! lol great photo's Naomi!! It looks like Spring has finally sprung out there!!
So sweet :)
Love is definitely in the air :)
They are so sweet, Naomi! Yes, love is in the air. So nice of you to put a piece of cardboard to help them to do a nest.
Great photos!
Looking forward to see the eggs and the babies.
Have a pleasant Sunday.
I love that you always have the dove's nest to watch. You share your home and garden with so many wonderful creatures, it's like nature puts on a show for you every day! Looking forward to more reports on their progress :) Hugs to you and purrs to Sweetie.

Those photos are so sweet. I love doves and your photos are part of why. The rest is their lovely sounds.
I love seeing them together. It's very sweet! I usually have birds building nests on my front porch wreath, but not this year. Maybe the pickings for homes are better in another area....lol
I love it when birds nest at our house...then when the young fly away I still call them my birds. We usually get mockingbirds and tiny little hummingbird nests. Beautiful! hope you are doing well...happy spring!
Love is in the air!
They certainly convey a sense of love and tenderness when they get close to one another. How nice for you to play Cupid to your own little family.
I love their delicate colouring similar to some the more subtly dressed wedding guests at last week-ends big 'do'.
Ah, true romance):-
The cardboard is a great idea. Will have to replicate it next season.
Beautiful like usual photo's.. Wish it was warmer here a bit.. Then I could go outside and see what we have in our lilac Bush..
I am looking out my big kitchen window, seeing a veritable rainbow of birds: American Goldfinches in their breeding gold, cardinals, rose breasted grosbeaks, chickadees, tufted titmice, blue jays, house finches and more! I love this time of year!!
The other day, I had a large wild turkey male displaying in my backyard for a flock of four females. Alas, that never happens during turkey season when I've got a clear shot out my breakfast room window.
Cheers.
We see love in bloom among the geese here. I think they mate for life. It's always sad when one of a pair gets killed, the survivor truly morns. But on a happier note, their babies are walking along behind the parents right now and creating quite a show on their way to and from the water.
Oh, I just love doves!! I'm glad they have found a haven in your garden, and a nice protected nesting place above that light!!
Hugs to you and Sweetie!!
I love the sound the Mourning Doves here make. But I always worry about them in mating season as they are "in their own little world" and don't really notice cats.
That is so darn cute. I have never seen them "spoon" but they walk around under my feeder all winter. They are such neat birds.
Aren't you thoughtful to provide extra support for their nest. That should qualify you as god mother to the babies.
Spring is certainly here. Not just with birds here, but some teenagers having sex in the middle of the park under some covers where everyone had to see. It was a funny episode when the police came to arrest the two lovebirds hahaha
Anyway, lovely photos as always dear Naomi :)
It's so sweet that you made it easier for them to build a nest! We found a nest in one of our bushes the other day and it wasn't too long before the babies learned to fly.
so sweet..i love to watch them in my yard....
Awww....I love the way you made them a 'love nest'. ;p
that is so sweet. A real love story!
