More To Come..........
Note: Tomorrow is the anniversary of my mothers death. She would have turned 111 on January 12th....She was only 67 years old when she died......There are certain dates one never forgets---this is one of those dates. RIP dear 'Jen The Hen'.........
The beauty of the flowers and your friend's smile seem a perfect compliment to each other, I think.
I'm glad you're doing OK.
Cheers.
I love the way are keeping Betty's name alive here on your blog. Such lovely memories. You know I can tell how much doing these wonderful posts about her, are helping you too.
Julie sends good thoughts your way.
Good to see a post from you. I know this has been a very hard year! Thinking of you.
((Hugs))
A tough year, but beautiful pictures and memories.

Rick
Beautiful roses! Lovely photos!! A mix of delightful and sad memories. Such is life and we can be grateful to be living these experiences.
Lovely memories. I'm glad you have the photos to look at too.
I love seeing all the photos of Betty and her family; such a beautiful woman and a beautiful person inside. The roses pale by comparison, Naomi.
I know we will never forget the dates of our mother's births and deaths.
Y'all are so sparkly in the opening night picture together and the smiles, mega watt! :)
So which one of those handsome men with Betty is Garrett, that Karen married?
Lovely flowers...
A challenging year, indeed, Naomi. Seems like it's been going around...
Such bittersweet times and wonderful loving memories.
Wonderful pictures, Naomi--especially the one of you and Betty
together.
It's a strange coincidence that the composer of "Meet Me In St. Louis," Hugh Martin, died within the last month.
Hope you are doing well,
Kevin
Lovely photos, Naomi!
These beautiful roses compound so well this post!
Love your photos with Betty. You both looks very happy.
I am sorry that your mother died so young... I agree with you, there are certain dates one never forgets...
Many hugs to you.
hi there.. i love that pix of betty and granddaughter. Those are so precious..
here is my new blog. i am trying to start over because i did a no no. i forgot my password to my e-mail.. that has changed too over the last week.
More happy memories in those pictures from the past. Betty was a beautifiul lady, wasn't she... even with her hair pinned down and no wig!
It's great that you have such happy photos of Betty - at all stages of her life. She certainly was a very rare person and I hope all of her friends and family will be able to feel the celebration of her life to help to mitigate the grief. I think that's what she would have wanted.
The flowers are lovely - just right for Mother's Day (here) and the red rose looks like velvet.
It’s always a pleasure to look at the beautiful pictures on your post. I think to look at a pretty rose makes everyone happy. Life has its sad moments – luckily we have the roses. I just finished a post and I mentioned you name. There would not have been a post if I had not read your report on that restaurant. Thank you Naomi.
I feel for you, I truly do. It can be so hard to let someone go. I wish for you peace and harmony and that you can reach the place where the memories are more sweet than painful.
That picture of the two of you together is now my favorite. You both look so lovely and happy.
You have have to have some sad feelings at this time regarding your mom, Betty and your niece. But mixed with those are the lovely memories that you shared with your special people. They are priceless. Hold them dear.
Naomi, I've been thinking of you often. Betty was such a lovely person and seemed so vibrant from all the photos you have shown of her. I know it's still so hard. She certainly has handsome sons!
Your neice Rebecca was so pretty too.
Certainly a rough year for you. Hugs dear lady.
You and Betty both look stunning and so do your roses!! This post is very touching and sweet, like the roses.
My gosh, it's amazing how much Karen and Betty looked alike!
I'm sorry about your niece Rebecca, too...so sad.
It's a tough time for you. The roses are beautiful and so are all the photos from a life richly lived
I'm glad to read that you're okay.
I have been thinking of you.
((hugs))
You are always on my mind Naomi.....
Such wonderful memories. Our hearts ache with yours.
Thank you for posting. The pictures and thoughts are absolutely lovely.
Thinking of you xxx Take Care.
Betty's granddaughter has always been and remains such a truly beautiful girl.
Betty's sons look so handsome!
And then, there's you and Betty looking downright smokin' hot - so pretty, both of you!
What a joy to look back at those shining moments, and you've had so many of them.
You have experienced so much loss, and I am so glad you took lots of photos over the years that you can look at and that can help soothe the terrible ache in your soul. I'm also glad you are finding some joy in the sheer beauty of flowers. I know how much nature nurtures you, and immersing yourself in its loveliness is wonderful.
I've noticed that with any huge loss, we find ourselves forever in a healing process. The loss is always there, and we never stop missing our dearest loved ones.
Vagabonde sent me over with her beautiful post about your meeting. I'm so sorry for your loss. You're all such beautiful people.
I won't ever get tired of reading your memories...those photos are wonderful, too. Thanks for sharing your most precious thoughts with us...
