Congratulations on your 5th Anniversary, Naomi dear!! I am happy I got to meet you through the Meet& Greet (I still miss it!)and that we have been in touch through blog posts these 5 past years. It's been my pleasure to drop by to enjoy your delightful posts and pictures. Here's to the next 5 years, keep on bloggin'!!
Congratulations Naomi! You've done such a fantastic job of blogging its no wonder so many people read it!
It's only because you make an anniversary post that I remember my 5th anniversary was last month too!... wow..how did that happen?! And you are so right about meeting such great people because of our blogs!! It really is the best part!
Happy Blogaversary Naomi. Wow- six years all together. I haven't been around here that long as I came to the table of blogging late.
Kind of sad to see so many are no longer posting. A lot have gone to facebook. I miss them but will probably never make that move.
I have so enjoyed your blog and look forward to many more years of your cool posts.
You are so right. The best part is meeting people whose paths you would never have crossed otherwise.
Congrats on the longevity. I look forward to another five years of posts.
Facebook and Twitter be damned. Blogs have substance; blogs require time and thought; blogs are scrapbooks of our lives that we can reference. I've so enjoyed reading yours for the last couple of years, and look forward to reading it for many more years to come.
Bravo! Congratulations on your Fifth Blog Anniversary, Naomi!
I am so happy that I met you, my dear friend! It's been such a pleasure visiting you during these past five years. You always post wonderful pictures, you always write interesting, witty, nice and inteligent posts!
You are such a wonderful and dear sweet person and I'm so happy to be able to call you a friend.
I look forward visiting you for many more years to come!
Hugs and kisses to you!
A very happy 5th Blogoversary to you Naomi!! I'm so glad to have found you and to have enjoyed commenting back and forth; I enjoyed reading this post very much about what blogging has meant to you. I just don't think twitter or facebook can match it!!
I may not comment all the time, but I read and love your posts very much. The hospice garden was simply wonderful.
Looking forward to the next years with you in the blogworld!
Mazel tov, Naomi! I hope you never stop blogging!
Mazel tov, Naomi. It truly can be enriching to keep a blog...sharing bits and pieces of yourself with the world at large.
You've certainly enriched our lives with your stories, your photos, your entertainment experiences, your friends.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this post because it is written straight from your heart, Naomi. You are right, we have shared some wonderful moments with you, the hawk babies, the flowers, the birds, the cactus garden. And what about all those fabulous lunches??? And of course your memories of your childhood and your family and your career. I hope your blogging continues for a long time. I love reading what you write!
And will you really be celebrating your 80th year on this planet in 2011? I can hardly believe it, you look so good!
Hugs from me in Canada!
happy 5-going-on-6! HOORAY for you! that's an *AMAZING* milestone! i am so very grateful to have met you! your words and photos brighten many a day for me! xo
Happy Blog-versary! I know your blog is one I try to always check because you often tell me something I didn't know or inspire me about life. Congratulations and many more years doing it
Oh Naomi, you have been a joy to read... You are right about our lives getting busy and other things coming first...but blogging and Facebook have been fun for me to meet people from all over and share a part of my life... I have truly enjoyed your stories and pictures... The "ladies that lunch" are so much fun and all the birthdays too... I loved hearing all about your sweetie and the stories of your life... Keep writing, I love ya....
happy 5th, naomi!
Happy Blogiversary, Naomi!! I well remember the first blog and when it crashed. You have given us lots of pleasure over the years - so I wish you many, many more to come - in life and on the computer!!
Happy Anniversary...I visit here often.. there are only a few blogs that I read and I enjoy your writing so very much.
Thank You for sharing with us :)
Happy Anniversary, Naomi! Glad I found your blog a year or so after I started my own. I sure know what you mean about not being tech savvy. I haven't been very creative with my blog, but have enjoyed seeing what you do with yours.
I enjoy reading about all your earlier active creative years, the individuals whose path you have intersected. Your cacti photos first caught my attention. Your comments on my blog are always fascinating and informative.
You are still creating on this blog, so hope you keep doing so for many years to come.
I can't remember how I found some of the bloggers that I read, but I remember finding you. You left a comment on Jammie J's blog one day and I liked what you said and decided to check you out. By the way, Jammie J was my blogging mentor and talked me into starting my own blog after leaving many comments on hers. I'm glad I found you and love your blog and hope you keep posting.
WOW - it doesn't seem like 5 years! Congratulations.
I've enjoyed our "blogging" friendship - and treasure you as a friend.
Looking forward to another 5 years!!
Just wanted to throw out a quick hello because I was watching a Western this morning called The Undefeated, with John Wayne and Rock Hudson (I enjoy westerns very much!) and the face of one of the lead lady characters caught my eye, and it was Lee Merriweather! I know she is a good friend and one of the 'ladies who lunch' so I am always happy to see her...she is VERY busy!!
Do have a happy weekend. By the way, I was quite shocked to read that you are going to be 80 in 2011...OBVIOUSLY your birth certificate is incorrect or you have discovered a secret to defying age! You look wonderful, not only physically, but you shine because of your interest in life and all that can be seen in this world.
Thanks again for blogging, dear Naomi!
Beautiful Naomi. 5 years and counting..... just like me. We may have started blogging for different reasons. For me, it was a way of incorporating writing into my daily routine and archiving the pieces, but it quickly turned into an outlet that was both life affirming and therapeutic. Like it has been for you. I am amazed at the intimacy of the lovely heart connections quickly made through this blogosphere.... like you mention. Meeting some of my blogger friends and staying in touch with ones who have become a part of my life in a way I never knew would be so meaningful is a blessing.
I would love, love, love to be there for your 80th birthday in June. To celebrate a wonderful milestone, but more importantly to give you a warm hearted hug before we sit down and have a good long conversation I know is waiting to happen inside the both of us. :)
I'm grateful that our paths crossed. Though I may not be reading blogs and writing as much as I used to, blogging and friendships continue to remain as important as they always have been.
Love to you....... Here's to year 6!
I don't remember just how I found your site, Naomi. I am so glad I have connected with you. This is, in a way, today's version of the backyard fence. We share our stories as we drink a cyber cuppa and tappity tap to each other.
Happy Blog Anniversary Naomi and yes blogging embraced new friendship a well and I am so glad to have known you through blogging and getting to know Seemah too.
Congratulations to you on your 5 year blog anniversary ! I just celebrated number 6. And a very Happy Birthday to you !!shogrim
Naomi, congratulations on five years of blogging! I just wanted to leave you a note thanking you for such beautiful pictures and wonderful stories from your past and present. I love seeing your ladies who lunch and your cacti in your yard and especially the pictures and stories from the past. You have such a gift of remembering and telling your memories of those times and people. And it's always a joy to stop by your blog and see what's going on.
And my personal favorite... the mosaic house tour... that was spectacular! Happy Blog Anniversary!
I picked a good day to visit your blog! Happy Blog Anniversary! I keep trying to return and be active with blogging. Your post has inspired me to make the effort. There was a time when I loved blogging and I think I could find that again.
I always love reading your posts!
I LOVE you Naomi!!!! Thank goodness for the computer and todays technology! You are so very inspiring and I need to get up and see you!!!! xo, Audrey
I am so glad that I got to know you through blogging! Whether your posts make me laugh or cry - they're always wonderful to read and the way you put everything together with photos is awesome.
Just got all caught up on your last couple of weeks of posts - that cactus garden is absolutely amazing.
HAPPY Blogaversary! To the next 5 years! Blessings, always
Happy Anniversary. You have made this blog a wonderful place to visit. Hope to stop by for many many years to come.
Happy Blogaversary dear Naomi!! I think I have been blogging about that long but I'll have to look and see. At any rate, I loved your post!! You said it all so well! You are such a good writer and your blog is always fun and interesting.
Cheers for the 5 years and we'll lift a glass for the next 5 years too!!
Love and hugs,
I just checked my blog and your post gave me an idea for a blog post (Thanks!!!).
I started blogging on Oct. 1, 2005 and you commented on Oct. 16, 2005!
I LOVE this overview! I've been with you from the start, Naomi and count you as a friend indeed! I started blogging just 6 months before you and I DO miss the meet and greet. I think blogging is a great creative and social forum/outlet. Maybe it will be rediscovered. I do wonder how big a blog can get, how transitory or lasting the record will be. For me facebook is the classified ad as compared to the editorial of a blog.
congratulations or your longevity and on bringing such a wealth of experience and life's joy to our world through your blog.
I am caring for my mom these past two years, and so I do not post as much or as often. I do miss Michele's.
Don't kid yourself, you're still active out there in the world, just in a different form. Congrats on your 5th and your 80th coming up. Time does fly doesn't it? I'm glad you found this outlet for your creativity, it's been wonderful getting to know you through your blog. Here's a toast to many more years! Cheers!
Happy Anniversary Naomi!! You are one of the best treasures I have found from blogging
I think you're right about Twitter and Facebook taking a cut out of blogging but there are still so many creative people here - photos and writing and ideas and inspiration - so much more than banal 140 characters or throwing snowballs at fictious walls and friending/befriending like a pack of high school kids ;)
You know I adore you and your spirit and talent - and you make me better each time you react to something I've written - you encourge and inspire
I love you lady :)
Happy anniversary, Naomi!!!!
Thanks for sharing your artistry, your wonderful sensibility and your delightful observations with us!!
the fat lady
ps-the odds that I would have ever been in touch with another Normandy School alumina approach the distance to the moon! Thanks to the wonderful world of BLOG, I have someone who has been there, done that.
Congratulations dear Naomi.
I bless the day I discovered your blog and was captivated by the very pretty heading of cactii. That was via Michelle. Then I became aware of your many talents and priceless experiences and was hooked.
I love to read of your doings and see your photographs and hope to enjoy your friendahip for many years.
WV is patio - apt?
Congratulations, Naomi and OF COURSE, I will continue to read! I enjoy hearing about your life, both in the past and present!
Congrats Indeed! I too would never have begun a blog if not for being more home bound by my MS. And I certainly agree--the best part is all the terrific people I have met online and in person! For a girl from Indiana, it doesn't get better, if I must be home and not acting, speaking, luckily I can still write, win-win. Writers need stories and many bloggers have obliged! Loving all things theater, acting, art, photography, YOUR blog is the cherry on top! May you never stop!!
Damn this post never showed up in my following list!!
Happy Anniversary! Your blog will always be one of my favourites! It's been a joy to meet you in blogland. I always love you wonderful comments too.
I don't do Facebook, twitter or msn, and have no desire to.
I hope you blog forever!
Congratulations on your wonderful blog anniversary! I found your blog through TorAa of Norway several months ago and it has been such a joy reading your posts. You are a lovely person and your posts reflect it. I love hearing your reminiscing about your time in the theatre and all the famous people you know. I hope you’ll keep blogging for many years, and I’ll keep reading…
Congratulations on the anniversary of your 5th year of blogging! You always have such interesting posts and pictures :-)
Congrats Naomi. I love your blog even though I have been way too busy of late to come by. All your talent shines through your blog Naomi - you better believe it. I am not a Facebook user and I will keep blogging forever I think. I have told you this before but you have the most entertaining blog on my blogroll. Keep on keeping on. You have a lot of people who love you and respect your many talents.
