Many many months ago---eight, to be exact---I did a post on some of the Succulents that are out on my deck....There were a few pictures of this particular plant, but none that I am posting today. In looking through some of my Photo Files, I've come across some beautiful pictures of many different subjects that are dear to me....this particular plant is one of a number of plants that I want to share with you.......
It is so very lush in color. Particularly the edges of the leaves, if you can call them that, being pinkish-redish and all the shades in-between. The rest of of the leaf making up the rest of the plant is a pale beautiful shade of green....I don't think of green as a particulatly warm color, but it sure is on this beautiful plant....Probably the beautiful pink/red edges make it warmer......
Although, in these particular pictures, the green looks closer to a gray....It was partly the light that was on this particular part of the plant as I took these pictures, but also this one isn't as warm a green as my other one.....I love the fleshy look and feel of Succulents....and you can really see that 'look' in these pictures......
These edges kind of look like rushing/ruching----at least I think that's what it's called, in fashion----I love the swirly irregularness of it all, actually making it look really regular, if you know what I mean....
Now you can see the warmth of the green.....I swear, this looks good enough to eat. I was just thinking...Maybe the look of these edges is more like 'crimping'......
But see how beautiful that green is in the background? And it does look very warm to me.....This plant is an Echevaria Gibbiflora. There are many types of Echevaria, but I must say, this is one of my very very favorites.....
As I aaid. I have two of these out on my deck, and in fact, the one just above has the warmer green leaves.....The other one has the slightly darker---more towards the gray-green leaf....like the first pictures above....Here it is, below.......
Yeah! Crimping! That would be the correct way to describe the edges of these leaves. I could look at these edges and photograph them, forever. I have more of these pictures and will be posting more of them, as time goes on.....Can you believe it is already March? This year seems to be flying by in a way.......More To Come........

Hi Naomi, very pretty, love the textures, as well as the colors. As always thank you for sharing. Am on cloud 9, my car which was over due for inspection, and I was sweating it thought would need a $300+ break job. Happy Dance...Am good to go. Now will be able to please others on my list of to do's... It's very pretty here today, the snow that VV received missed us this past week. Instead we had 3 days of single didget temp. But today the sun is smiling on us and it's about 45 Happy Happy, needed some warmth and sunshine.:)

These truly are beautiful. Every time I see a succulent with lots of color, I want to bite into it, even though I know it would likely taste bad or be poisonous. Must be an oral fixation left over from my baby days.

When really coming close to our fellow plants and flowers, then we realize how beautiful they are.
It's a pity to many human beeings do not understand or ignore the beauty of the complete nature and accept homo sapiens are only one species among the millions here on our scarce planet.

Beautiful plants. I love looking at flowers.. My husband wants to build an area where we can have plants all year round here and be able to sit and read or just be together in this area off the house sometime. Not sure when but sometime.

Crimping sounds like a good description to me.
I think it also resembles the bottom of a frilly dress.
The colors are so warm and lovely. It's calming just looking at those wonderful photos.
