More To Come........
Totally beautiful pictures!
I hope you're having a wonderful festive season :)
Take care.
*smiling*
and nodding my head in agreement and enjoyment!
There is something about roses that I find incredibly beautiful. You have captured the details so well here. These photos changed my mood this morning Naomi, so thank you!!
Beautiful photos and I always find roses so sensual when you look at their details. No wonder Georgia O'Keeffe painted the interior of flowers
Love your roses. Pinter, not so much but it's sad when anyone passes away at an early age. Aren't we lucky to live in a country where we can "really let GWB have it" and be praised. Let's hope we can do the same with the new administration and not be accused of motives other than difference of opinion. Time will tell.
Naomi, what kind of camera do you have? I want one!
Those are the sexiest pictures I've seen in a long time. They are simply drop dead exquisitely gorgeous ladies. ;)
I don't know how you do it! I mean, you can even see the veins in the petals. Amazing and so gorgeous. I knew Van must have done those. I've never seen one other florist that has the art and creativity that he does! He is truly gifted!
I felt bad when I caught the news last night and saw Eartha Kit was gone. She was so stunning and nobody could do Santa Baby like her!

If the "tan rose" is from a florist- he should be able to identify. Many florist roses are foreign-sourced:not available as plants in US.
The closest in coloration I have seen is the shrub rose "Distant Drums". Cannot tell from photo if it is or not- but in the landscape the tea-washed pastel shaded blossoms are quite memorable.
Dear Naomi,
God is indeed in the details ! Thank you for being a photographer of such rose loveliness ! They truly are exquisite as captured by you.
And yes, it is very sad to have the passing of those who are great. I loved Eartha Kitt's 'Santa' song from years ago... She was such a talent.
Happy upcoming New Year 2008 to you :)
Loving Annie
Eartha Kitt was stunning and talented, a force of nature!!
The flowers are exquisite as always :)
oh wow - Mother Nature is a wonder, isn't she? Every day she presents us with the most majestic creations which we could never hope to recreate...
And the way you bring these most beautiful creations to our eyes in new and exciting ways is just magical :-)
Hope you had a happy Christmas/Hannukah and are energised for a new year of blogging :-)
Thank you again for the wonderful gift - quite stunning. It has already been updated with all my re-enactment events for 2009 :-)

Naomi: your rose pictures are exquisite. I adore the subtle changes of colour and the softness of the petals, I wish this computer was equipped with "Smellovision" so I could enjoy the glorious scent too! Beautiful!
I have very special memories of seeing Eartha Kitt on TV when I was a child in England.... she didn't talk or sing like other humans, she simply purred! I haven't heard much of her in recent years, I am so sad she has gone. She was such a fascinating individual.
And thank you, thank you, Naomi, for a lovely gift... all your own work too.... I was thrilled! It will hang in my computer room and will be updated daily to reflect my "busy social calendar"!!!
Wonderful flowers, Naomi! I almost can smell the scent! Just great photos!
It's really very sad these lost....
I think you are the best flower photographer there is! The one you are speaking of (being beige) is probably what we call a champagne rose. They are a "beigish" pink - or sandy pink, I call them.
Gorgeous in every way! They look delicious LOL. I love your pics, expecially the last one. I like the way the petals curl in towards the centre adn the subtle shades are fabulous. They must look stunning arranged together!
Oh the flowers are beautiful roses and carnations are my favorite and I marvel in the lovely colors...
Came over from netchick...isn't that a great idea...
hope you'll visit me as well..

Of all the fun Christmas songs, Santa Baby is the BEST! Eartha Kitt was amazing.
You're lucky your camera can capture the beauty of the roses Naomi. Gorgeous flower pics again...

i love finding flowers in Santa Monica, its like a tropic isle
Naomi,
The roses are just beautiful. Roses are my favorite flowers also.
I agree that only God could create such beauty. Just think He could have made everything in black and white. But, because of His love for us, He made everything beautiful for us to enjoy.
Have a lovely Sunday.
I was very sad to see Eartha Kitt had passed. I love her Santa Baby rendition, she was one of a kind.
I've certainly enjoyed all your lovely rose photos!
I loved Eartha too and she's a Carolina girl - like me. RIP Eartha.
Thank you for sharing the delightful roses Naomi!
It's amazing how some of those flowers don't even look real!
Doesn't the middle one look like skin? I too am in love with roses. I have a cold from all those Christmas cookies and cream in Kahlua. I could use a few roses right now. I do have a beautiful new calendar that cheers me up to look at!
beautiful i love roses! have a wonderful new years and keep up this awesome blog i am having a blast going back and looking at your old posts.
kisses
Brilliant!!!!
Happy New Year....
Years ago we had a petite maltese grey kitty with golden eyes--we named her "Ertha Kitten" She loved to "duet" with Miss Kitt's recording, and gave new meaning to the phrase "copy cat" as she tried to mimic the actresses sound. I hope the two Erthas meet in the hereafter.

Some people do have the ability to communicate Beauty.
But only a very few can do it like you.
The difference is Art and "Just seen - everyone can do that".
Naomi, you are an Artist. Of the Highest Quality.
Thanks for the 2009 Calendar.
So Beautiful and filled with love and Passion for the Birds.
And Sweeties Blue Eyes: We are thrilled.
btw. Sorry for my looong absence from both reading and commenting your blog - hope you understand ---
I was not familiar with Mr. Pinter but knew Eartha's work very well. Giant(ese) is quite correct.
I love roses! I can almost smell yours :)
