More To Come.......
What a lovely post, my dear :-)
I do love that Irish blessing.
And that cake looks curiously delicious :-)

Excellent post! I also wish you a wonderful St Paddy's day! Drink lots of green beer and have a great day!
Michele sent me this time.
The Luck 'o the Irish to Thee, Lassie!!
We will be going to a parade on Monday that is held downtown. Mike Rowe (host of Dirty Jobs) is our Grand Marshall this year for the parade. It will be fun.
We have some Irish in my family history, so I hope for some of that Irish luck!! A pot of gold would be a-okay with me. I don't think I'll drink any green beer, but that's only because I've never liked the taste of beer. Maybe some green chocolate???
In answer to your question: Barney Frank allowed a male prostitution ring to be run from his apartment.
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
(traditional gaelic blessing )
Happy St Patricks Day Naomi!
Erin go bragh !! :-)
What a beautiful, colorful post. You're tempting me to try my first green beer, Naomi. :)
Have a wonderful St. Patrick's Day!
Slainte mhath yourself Naomi!
Happy St. Patrick's Day, Naomi!!
Thanks, Naomi. You've been busy, haven't you? I grew up thinking I was Irish, and when I met my birth mom, I found out I am Scots/English. But - I am Irish in my core, and that's what matters!
what a beautiful St. Patrick's Day post. And may the Irish blessing be for you also
Happy St. Patty's Day!
Finally a weekend of no bad weather here! We had parades yesterday (that shut down traffic unbelievably looooong - from 10AM to 3PM).
Save me a piece of that scrumptious looking cake!
Hugs, Anne
Happy St Patricks day to you too.
I am not Irish, as far as I know but I have such a mixed lineage I might well have some in there lol.
Thank you for these collectively kind wishes, Naomi. St. Patrick's Day brings many fond memories for me, none more treasured than the time I drove my radio station's SUV in the Montreal St. Pat's Day Parade. It's the biggest such parade in North America, and my outlet had a brightly-labelled Nissan Pathfinder that we brought out to all sorts of community events.
So we put on our logo-laden clothing, popped the sunroof open and joined the crowd. It was amazing. I idled behind a marching band, music blaring out a massive horn speaker on the roof, surrounded by a bunch of on-air staffers, walking around the perimeter of the vehicle. What a rush!
Of course, my mother wasn't so sure this was something for a so-called Good Jewish Boy to do. Which makes me laugh to this day.
We had Green Dinner (or, officially, St. Patrick's Day dinner) at Tony's church last night, complete with corned beef, carrots and cabbage, Irish dancers and bagpipe playing. It was sooooo good and I got sooooo full. Mmmm. :)
My FIL is the one responsible for picking up sheet cakes from Costco. Since he has two DIL's who love chocolate, he always makes sure to get some chocolate cake. It helps to have an "in" at the church, I'm thinking. :)
P.S. When we went to Ireland in 2006, I felt such a connection with the land. It was so very... odd, because I didn't believe I was Irish. When I got back home and visited my aunt in Iowa, I asked her about it and she said, "Ohhh, yes, we have LOTS of Irish in us. Lots and lots." Hmmm. Makes one wonder what our hearts know beyond our minds, doesn't it?
Hi Naomi.
I love that Irish blessing.....
Happy St. Pat's Day to you too. We are involved in a celebration/fundraiser tomorrow for the soup kitchen and homeless shelter.... a "Stew and Brew" at the Market downtown. Lots of Irishness will be felt....and shared by (hopefully) all walks of life.
cheers to you....
One could be green with envy. Or with beer, whichever comes first.
So sweet and so nice Noami :D I'm not Irish but I feel 'Irish' when I see your post, thank you :D
Slainte! Naomi!
Michele sent me back, Naomi, to wish you another Happy St. Patrick's Day.
How lovely it would be, to spend St. Patrick's Day with you, dear Naomi!
My Grogan grandparents taught us how to treat the day right.
"The day's to be treated as all days long to be treated."
Sounds good to me!
Are you Irish?
Happy St. Patrick's Day to ya!
Thank you, I am Irish, and that prayer said to me many times. I also have found several four leaf clovers in my own yard, as a child.
And so, I have been blessed and very lucky in my 50 years. May your day be full of Irish good luck.
Naomi, I hope your day is filled with all those good things too!! I've always liked that Irish blessing!
Have a fun filled day and I hope Sweetie has a great day too!!
What a delightful post! It's just dawned on me why my Irish Grandma insisted on my being christened Patricia. Doh!
I hope you and Sweetie have a good one too!
Happy St. Patrick's Day to you as well! :)
Love this post, Naomi! Very beautiful! Happy St. Patrick's Day to you as well! Cheers!
I love green and the way it looks so alive, healthy, like a new beginning. And that cake was simply breathtaking.
Thank you for all the blessings Naomi!
Happy St. Patrick's Day to you too, dear Naomi ! Isn't it a beautiful clear one ?!?

That's a lotta green!
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Oh that cake looks incredible.
Happy St. Paddy's! ~S
Is that green guiness you've got there?
Dear Naomi...I have not forgotten you or that prince of a cat ,Sweetie but I have been very busy with my mom who fell five weeks ago and finally I am coming up for a bit of air!.
This is such a cheerful post, so IRISH...I think we Goldens have a bit of the Irish in our blood but mainly we are of the Heinz 57 bunch!
Take care now and give that Sweetie a big Southern Ontario hug for me.
I hope that soon I will be able to gather up all the blog kitties and a dog or two and post them on my blog like I did last year...Love Terry
PS Sweetie still adorns my desk top! What a nice sight to wake up to..that darling white kitty with his beautiful blue eyes looking at me!!
I love that old Irish blessing!
Slainte Mhath!
What a wonderful St. Patrick's post Naomi - sooo green - sooo you!
From all of me to all of you: Belated St. Patrick's Day my dear blogger friend!
I've been hunting these kind of posts among my blog friends and of course you are listed on my collection of St. Paddy's post!
I've never ever seen a tribute to paddy's day, like this one. I ponder if you have some Irish blood?
What about May 17? That's a challenge;))
A cue: 33% of the population in North Dakota are ancestors from Norway
