easter flowers past

These flowers are from last Easter....I was looking at them and thought there were so very many Beautiful Wonderful flowers that I had not posted last year...so, here are some of them, since I didn't have an arrangement this year..... There is no particular order here, except that these are all pictures I just loved and wanted to share..... A close look at a beautiful Rose....do click on all of these to make them bigger.....They are all so lush and yummy..... Another gorgeous Rose, above....The colors of all these flowers were so uplifting and cheerful....they really lift your spirits....Well, the certainly lift mine...... These yellow Tulips looked good enough to eat, I swear.....And the whole arrangement just said "SPRING IS HERE" in every way...... Look at this stunning flower above! A Rununcular, right? The color is just breathtaking....Such a soft lush flower..... Another shot of a Tulip...this too, looks good enough to eat....! I know I've said this a hundred times on my blog, but, I'll say it again. You cannot beat nature.... I love these flowers above....I should know the name, but I just cannot think of it off hand....(Judy...please help me out here....lol)...All I know is the combination of colors is just stunning..... Another view of these fantastic Tulips....I just cannot get enough of these.....And that little flower in the middle of the picture. Here below is a closer look at it..... I don't know the name of this flower above, either.....But I think it is quite amazing looking....Even in it's waning moments above, it is very very beautiful to me...... I think it is very beautiful before it opens, too....The perfection of natures designs just knock me out..... There are more, but that's it for now......I just loved this arrangement more than I can say.....to me there is nothing like fresh flowers arranged in an artful manner....and sometimes that artistry is that they don't look "arranged". This beautiful Easter arrangement was by that fabulous florist I have mentioned before---Van. He is the owner of The Conservatory, which is just down the hill from me, and does all the arrangements himself....!

More To Come........

Is the first rose a "Peace Rose?" My dad had several of those and they were his pride and joy in the Spring.

Cheers.

They are sweet peas, Naomi, one of my favorites. You also have scabiosa there, and snapdragons, in addition to all the others you mentioned. The ranunculus is gorgeous. That is MY favorite color combination!

Oops, I went back to look again - it isn't sweet peas, it is the snapdragons. They have that variegated color from dark coral to peach. The pink flower with the tiny blossoms on top of the stem and the bids that look like a pile of green peas are the scabiosas. I love them, esepcially the lavender ones.

Last year??!!! Absolutely GORGEOUS!

We are having a frost here so most of the Easter flowers didn't make it to Easter. I now feel I haven't missed out because of your post.

Beautiful flowers!

Those are eye candy!! The perfection of those flowers just floors me too!!! WOWzer!
We went to our local gardens on Easter with my mom, and the tulips and daffodils were blooming. It was such a delight!!
I ate way more chocolate than I should have, and I loved every morsel. It's the calories that really piss me off!

:-)
I hope you had some chocolate too.

What a lovely sight to see so early in the morning and you are right - they do blow up beautifully. Were one of the mystery ones sweet peas? Probably not. You are a very clever girl:)

The flower pictures are beautiful and really do say it all about spring. I also prefer arrangements that look as though they just happened from the garden

Gorgeous, Van really does a wonderful job. I love snapdragons too, I used to love showing my children how they "talk" when you squeeze them ( which is why they are called snapdragons lol)

Lovely. I enjoy fresh flowers so much! The boys were looking at some that I'd set out and asked their Dad why I buy things that are dying.

This may sound weird, but I even like the way an arrangement looks when the petals and leaves start to fall off. Pretty in a sad way.

I want to hang out with Van!

Beautiful arrangement. The colours blend together so nicely. If I had a bottomless pocketbook, I'd have flowers spilling out of every vase and scattered around my home every day!

Tulips are my favourite by far. I carried a bouquet of them at my wedding....

Those are all so pretty. I love flowers. I've even started appreciating the small ground covers, realizing that landscaping is more than the show off flowers right? lol. Tulips are a fave because they are so classy. Snapdragons, that is what you have I think, they seem a bit mischievous so they really add to the garden and that orange flower, I didn't know that one but WOW, that is striking! Yes Van is an artist himself, your arrangements are always out of this world.

And thank you for my birthday wishes! It has been a nice weekend and wonderful day for me so thanks. Toonces told me to please stop playing the birthday card. He said I wore it out!

What a wonderful arrangment to lift the spirit in Spring! It is so cheerful :) All these photos are wonderful but I particularly love the close up of the pale apricot coloured rose. The pattern of the petals and the subtle colour is just wonderful.
