Good Friday morning to you, Naomi ! How are you doing ?
Your view is incredible, as always.
The contrast between the fog and the clear weather is eere, isn't it ? I'm just glad that the smoke seems to have gone away --
Blessings to you,
Loving Annie
So very beautiful. I agree, you will never be bored:)
No, I could never bore of that view. It was eerie but it was beautiful at the same time. Hope you have had a nice holiday.
You could make your own movie entitled, "A Room With A View." Whether it's foggy, sunny, nighttime or morning, you give us the most beautiful shots of the city, and I thank you for that.
How wonderful you have a changing view, how could you ever get bored of it??
Love your lights :)
Michele sent me to wish you a belated Happy Thanksgiving and to see what you've had in your lens lately - what beautiful pictures :-)
I've got to episode - um - 9, I think, of West Wing so far. I am watching a whole DVD at a time at the moment. I admit the politics goes right over my head, but I am enjoying the shaping of the characters,
MB is not a fan yet!
I have a blog on the subject coming next week :-)
I love the combination of Alison Janney, Tim Busfield and Bradley Whitford - who all came together for an episode of Studio 60 recently.
Can Bradley Whitford do any wrong?
cq
And I thought I had a beautiful view.
Wow!!
I'd never be bored by that view. :)
I'm free of in-laws! yay! Hope your T-day was a good one, Naomi!
~S :)
That fopg sure did cover a large area, didn't it? If it was coppery colored - that was pollution.
Rob and I have decided that when we are 'old' and finished with work, we are going to retire to an apartment overlooking the city...much like yours actually lol! We have never wanted to do the 'seachange' thing or go to the country, no, the city is for us - and like you, I doubt we will ever, ever tire of the beautiful view!!
I LOVE THESE PHOTOS!!! :)
Happy thankgiving, Naomi, and I'm glad to see pictures of fog instead of smoke!
Michele sent me this time,
N.
That fog will certainly hide things! I HATE driving in fog, especially on roads that I'm not familar with. It's a terrible feeling. Your view is so neat! I love the lights that are along your railing too!!
Hope your T-day was great for you and dear Sweetie!!
What glorious photos!!! You really have a gift!!!
Oh how I love your views Naomi...Does your porch wrap all the way around your house? If I had a view like that I would live on your porch.....The only thing better would be some mountains with snow on them....I would love to live in a log cabin up in the mountains of Colorado.....Being a girl from the south, I don't know how long I could take the snow.
A weekend of turkey sounds perfect to me.....
Fog can really boggle the brain. I was once working as a temp on the 46th floor of a building and there was just grayness outside the windows. It was disconcerting and you didn't really feel like you were high up. You didn't really feel like you were anywhere.
Wonderful pictures as always and yes very eerie. I see the list for "Celebrity Apprentice" has been announced and your next door neighbour is on. How funny.
Marilu you're fired
hmm, a little bit like the clouds in Close Encounters of the Third Kind! hehehe.. they're coming to take you away Naomi! lol
A little bit 'close encounters' in those foggy views. I hop you've been enjoying the Thanksgiving Weekend and not eaten too much turkey and mince pies (or whatever is your preference).
i hears its also retail mayhem this weekend with 'BlackFriday'(?) when all the store go bonkers. Probably best to stay away from the craziness.
Last weekend I spent a few idle moments triangulating La Brea from your pictures. When I visited LA I drove around in some of your area and did quite a stretch of Mulholland, which I assume is just behind you somewhere. A lovely area, and I've commented before I also like your views across to the Pacific at Santa Monica!
best regards from chilly England!

Thanks for your comment on my blog about Nov. 24, 1963. Yes, I was a publicity writer for WABC Radio and they were just combining it with TV. I don't know the names you mentioned but wondered if you knew Wes Laws? He is a good friend and was a 4 time Emmy winner for his set designs for TV soaps...now living in Desert Springs.
PS: I tried to pull up your Nov 22, '05 blog but could only get back as far as Nov. 30th. Darn.
That's some freaky fog :)
Lovely view!!
Happy Thanksgiving!!
Wow, Naomi. That is SOME fog. Kinda cool, though.
Michele sent me. The view's great, too. But I might like the fog better. I'm not sure.
I love your photos with the fog. So eerie and mystical. I've always loved fog and we get it quite often, here on the island, especially during the winter. I love the mystery of it.
Enjoy your weekend and that left-over turkey.
Cool fog. Love the lights on your balcony too. They look glamorous.
It was rather foggy for LA. Love the view.
Wonderful and bright view, Naomi!
I would love so much to be there with you! I love the lights on your balcony, it's very cheerful!
Have a nice weekend, my dear friend!
Fog is eery, but with fog comes cooler weather & I LOVE cooler weather!
I have missed you tremendously. I'm going back to my mom's right now, but wanted to stop by & say hi. :)
Hug Sweetie for me.
Here we have smog instead of fog. Delhi is very dusty and polluted. Smog covers it like a blanket and there are more cases of chest infections in this weather.
I love the photos. Very glad that Michele sent me here. Always a pleasure to visit you.
Leftover turkey is good and I really enjoyed looking at the photos. I have a feeling that weather would creep me out in person.
My blog is now viewable. My content was not loading due to companies I use deciding to go on Thanksgiving vacation and not leaving their facilities manned from what I can tell.
No, I couldn't get board of that view... and I'm from the countryside! I adore city lights though. We can't see that far due to all the hills in the way, but you can see for miles & miles when you climb to the top of the highest hills here.
Love the photos! Does this mean you live in a building? Or were you in some hotel? :D

Fog and mist can be very eerie, it veils things we know are there and leaves our imagination free to think up other things that may be there!
I could never tire at that view, each time of day and each day seems to bring something new. I just love how you have your balcony all lit up! :)
Yes, that view is amazing, fog or no fog.
Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are enjoying your leftovers...I am simmering some Turkey Carcass Soup as I type (why in the hell do they call it by such an unappetizing name?).
I am finally back in the swing of posting and would love to hear from you, Naomi!
So beautiful! I never get bored of just the pics from your balconey. I can only imagine how wonderful it must be in person.
not here via Michele this time, Mooching now...
But I can't help it some of your photography is really breathtaking ;)
Thank you
A sea of city. I like your porch lights. Are they up for the holidays or always there?
It reminds me of the new Stephen King movie, The Mist!
I adore fog photos, yours are just beautiful!
We don't get much fog, but we do get some eerie looking mist/fog sometimes. It burns off very early, and looks really neat at night with the streetlights trying to shine through. I will have to capture some photos to share sometime this winter.
Luckily, we don't get the heavy fog that we used to see around the Modesto area. The fog in Fresno and other CA areas can be deadly.
Your photos of this phenomena are terrific.
I like how the distant lights glow from underneath the fog. Eerie is the perfect word for it.
The holiday weekend is behind us... and I DO mean BEHIND us. My bohunkus has widened.
:-)
Happy New Week to you.
It's nice to be back in Blogdom again after a short break.
Love the twinkle lights. They make a space so cozy.
Beautiful photos!
