More To Come......
How fun that must have been. I have yet to meet a fellow blogger in person, although I sure do expect that I will eventually. Here from Michele's on a wonderful early Saturday morning.
Mike
I'm glad you had such a great visit. I'm starting to think I'm the only blogger that hasn't met a fellow blogger yet.
Looks like you all had a great visit and so nice that you could hear your musical piece played by someone else. I am going to meet several fellow bloggers later this year and I am so excited to finally get to hear their voices and spend time getting to know them better. You look great!
I had a message from Jamie Dawn early this morning telling of her visit with you, and how much she enjoyed it. I am so glad you could get together. Isn't she a pretty woman? and her brother is a nice looking man, too. I know she is just as pretty inside as she is out.
I have met six bloggers, and I may meet another when I go to my home town next month.
I love the pics, and by the way, you look great. At lunch yesterday a friend commented on your blog photo, the main pic where you're shooting pool. She loved it, and she'll probably pop in to say hello at some point.
I'm glad you enjoyed the visit with Jamie Dawn. I read her blog as well. It was a beautifully written post and you've inspired me to meet some blogging buddies someday.
How fun! And yes, I do know the joy it is to meet fellow bloggers...I've had the wonderful opportunity to meet 5 over this past year. And it IS truly amazing how you feel like you've always known each other. That's the beauty of blogging.
Looks like you had a great visit with Jamie and her brother. And don't they resemble each other! Great looking people and I'm glad you got to meet them.
Ohhhhh that is SO cool! I'm tellin' ya! Meeting favorite bloggers IS THE BEST! We DO feel like we already know each other, and meeting people for the very first time is SO comfortable! It's just amazing -- and I'm so glad you had the opportunity AGAIN! I do NOT know why you don't like pictures of yourself these days though... you are sO cute! Are you really that SHORT? Or were you standing on the downhill side of her? LOL!
Hi dear Naomi! Sounds you all had a great time! Would be great if I meet you in person, some day too! Love the photos! You all are just great!
Have a nice weekend!
How wonderfully blessed you are Naomi! Bloggers color your way and your day. You're beautiful! Thank you for sharing your joys with us.
Oh what a wonderful visit Naomi!! Yes, I'm excited and can't wait to meet JD!!! I'm so glad you got to hear your song played by her brother! That was a lovely surprise I'm sure, and getting to hear you sing must have been terrific for them! They do look alike! Gosh, I wish I could have been there!!
Love the picture of the two of you! You look lovely as usual Naomi, and so does JD!!
Oh, I'm so excited and I just can't hide it......... :)
Glad michele sent me here to say hello to your blogger friend and her brother.
All of you look so good in the pictures.
Sorry, I got here a we bit late. I was sidetracked.
Oh, Naomi, sounds like you had a wonderful time...I know it is exciting to meet fellow bloggers...and I am going to get the chance to meet 4 of them next week - 5 if you count the Yarn Harlot!! I am so excited I can hardly wait...
I'm so envious -- I've not met any fellow bloggers yet, but I'm so anxious to do so!
I think the pictures (including the one of you) were just charming!
Here from Michele's!
I have not managed to meet a fellow blogger as of yet, but I do know a couple! (My sister and my old penfriend!) There are a few blogger friends I would seriously love to meet from around the world. You, Naomi, are on this list... Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Oh how fun! The only bloggers I've met so far are the ones I already knew before I/we started blogging!
This partially answers your question on my blog- yes I know Colleen personally her niece is my best friend from childhood forward & when we were both 19 we came to Floyd to stay with Colleen. (we all rented a house together- including Colleen's husband- who wasn't her husband quite yet!) We don't hang around much anymore but I still check in with her blog whenever I'm online.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
Looks like you had a wonderful time and how lovely to meet the awesome Jamie Dawn (I read her blog too from time to time)! I'm glad you both enjoyed the visit. :) Thanks for sharing these great photos!
How exciting, Naomi! I have only met two fellow bloggers so far and it has been a wonderful experience. I only wish distance (and money) weren't an issue... so glad you got to meet her, I have yet to discover her blog.
What a joy! Blogging has been such a blessing in the array of wonderful people I have met through this medium. I have met 3 in person so far and some I talk to on the phone. It's a marvelous way to relate to one another and learn from all the various personalities and cultures...as some are in other countries. I am so happy you had this opportunity! I can tell you this, someday I would LOVE the opportunity to meet YOU.
That Broderson is absolutely amazing, man is work is outstanding! I am so glad you introduced his work on your blog.
Have a wonderful rest of the weekend!
XO
What a wonderful visit. How lucky of Jamie to meet you. Your picture was lovely. Michele sent me today
It looks like you had a very lovely visit, I am glad I will always be your "first" lol.
I need to go and visit Jamie on her blog and read her account.
Geewits is not alone, I haven't met a fellow blogger yet either. What a great thing to do though...your pictures are wonderful Naomi and really capture the feeling!
Here from Michele's to say hi!
Wonderful that you had such a good visit, Naomi. Even more wonderful ...those pictures of the Agave plant and the hummingbirds. Your pictures are a show in itself. I knew nothing about this plant before...thanks for the lesson. It's totally amazing what Mother Nature can do. xoxoxo
Oh P.S. Naomi. Never worry about having your own picture taken. You are one beautiful DIVA!!!!! And not only that, but your heart and your spirit come through to the reader and makes one feel good...at least THIS one!!! :)
I've met a few fellow bloggers and it is kind of fun.
What a sweet visit you had...I plan to meet a fellow blogger Lila next week. I really enjoy your blog...I've only visited a few times but you have the most interesting art and flowers and stories to tell... I'll be back!
xo
How wonderful. I have yet to meet a fellow blogger, well apart from CQ who I knew pre-blog :) I'm sure I will someday and might just have to take a trip to LA! :)
It looks like you all had a really nice time :)
Good Sunday morning the 29th to you Naomi !
Just came by to say hello and see what was new with you !
Today is "thank-you's" on my blog, and you are mentioned with a link !
*cyber hugs and smiles*
Loving Annie
p.s. Glad that Jamie and Jason and you had such a nice visit! Any chocolate chip cookies left ?
Jamie Dawn looks a fine young woman. You were lucky to meet her.
Michele sent me.
Sounds like a lovely visit :)
Sounds like a wonderful visit :) I love the sound of somebody playing a piano, it's beautiful.
It's great when you can meet fellow Bloggers IRL (In Real Life). Haven't me any yet - apart from the 4-5 I already know but you never can tell.........
I hate having my picture taken too. We had a management 'idea' recently that we should all have our picture on our desks to show visitors what we look like. Everyone in the office had their picture taken except me. I refused even when the big Boss himself told me to do it. I refused again. So for a while I was the only one without a picture... sure enough within a matter of weeks the 'idea' was forgotten and all of the photographs vanished... [grin].
Naomi, it seems like this year has been the year of "bloggers meet bloggers real life". I've met two.
And this couple looks so nice and friendly - and even gave you memories so sweet. I wish I could have been there.
btw. We still have our Dutch friends - the 4th night in a row with us. Have had a wonderful time - and for me only some minutes to post a blog and comment pr day. It will be posted.
It is always fun to meet new people, especially when you have a vision of what they look like or sound like!
It must have been a fantastic to hear a piece of music you had written being played by someone else...
Here from Michele's this morning, and I am glad I cam...
what a great visit! we hope that when we bring Indiana down to disneyland next year that we will be able to meet you while we are in the area... we really arent that far from you as it is in the grand scheme of bloggers that is(LA being about 16-17 hours drive down the interstate from Albany Oregon)
we got all moved, and i havbe my internet back, so i look forward to visiting your blog again regularly!
I am sooo jealous. I am determined to get out there and meet you and see that fabulous garden!
My mom, brother, and I just finished reading this post. My mom said to tell you that she thinks you are lovely.
We enjoyed reliving our visit with you. What a grand time we had!!!
I look forward to uploading all my photos and writing posts about my vacation and especially about my visit with YOU!!
Those Lindt truffles you gave me didn't last long. :-)
I felt the same way....like meeting Jamie was like meeting an old friend. I felt like I knew her already and felt very "at home" with her.
Looks like you had a lovely visit. She spoke very highly of you and said you were very interesting and she was very excited to get to meet you. :o)
You ARE a dear!
Aw I am jealous! I wanna meet Jamie Dawn, too!
I'm glad you had a wonderful visit.
Love,
Kendra
I'm glad that you had such a nice visit! It is neat to meet people from Blogland.
You were totally blessed that day. I read Jamie Dawn a lot, too.
I can see how you felt like you've known her forever. I got that sense just from their pictures. They both seem very warm & genuine.
I know you don't get out much, so this is an exceptional blessing for you & nobody deserves it more than you do.
I love, love, LOVE Juliana. Absolutely brilliant.
Your pictures are lovely, but YOU WROTE WITH BETTY GARRETT? That is too awesome. Love her.
They show On the Town pretty much once a month or more on TCM. I try not to ever miss it. She is one of my favorites. And she was on Laverne and Shirley, so that makes her super cool. . . like you. Here from M.
(responding to your post on my blog), Would have loved to have seen the musical of Carrie. . . unfortunately, in 1986, I was a ten-year-old, and all I knew of Carrie was the freaky box at the video store. I DID get to see Betty Garrett in Meet Me in St. Louis, which was a great thrill.
Several years ago, I had some Carrie tracks--they were very rough, downloaded from Napster. I love Betty Buckley's recording of When There's No One on her Children Will Listen CD. I saw her do Gypsy in '99 and thought she was the best Mama Rose ever.
I really hoped someone was going to revive the musical for the 30th anniversary of the movie and 20th of the musical, but no one had the guts! I would love to have some more of the music.
There's a very small piece on the making of the musical on the Carrie SE DVD.
What a treat! Prior to the blogging invention, I made a trip cross-country years ago to meet on-line writer friends. They were so much like their on-line personas. A couple of them helped me with my environmental research by introducing me to key people in their areas (the reason for my cross-country trip). I still treasure getting to meet so many of them. If we make it out to California next year or the year after, I'd love to stop by to say "hello." P.S. - You look great! Don't hide from the camera. :-)
What a delightful post! Everyone looks so happy. Oh, for you to sing to music you wrote with Betty, while Jamie's bro played in your home with Jamie and all of you beaming. Full circles of friendship!
I've spoken to bloggers on the cell phone which was one step closer to the writing dimensions and utterly wonderful! I hope to meet some in the near future. Plans are in the works.I'm greatly looking forward to it. It is like old friends in many ways with so much that has been shared, yet it's also brand new for the areas skipped over in blogs. Glad your experiences have been so joyous!
So glad
