He is one of those Bubble Goodies....you unscrew his head and take it out of the bottle which is his body, of course, and then you blow Bubbles---if you can....I took two different videos of that.....And here they are below.......
And here is the second one featuring the Bubbles.....I always get these Bubble Thingy's----(though what the Bubble stuff comes in is always a different receptacle....)...because I love them so much, and, as it turns out, so does everyone else.....They are fun and they are festive, and they really make you feel good, too......
Seemah began playing with the Kaleidoscope.....I always think these are such fun, too--Fun and Beautiful.....Betty collected Kaleidoscopes, so whenever I see one, I think of her........In truth, I don't know anyone who doesn't like Kaleidoscopes, do you?
Everything is working Naomi- sound and vision. I was longing to see what was in the goodie bags. I could blow bubbles all day and these were like drops of floating rainbow.
I'm intrigued by the bright blue little packet thingies which almost look like pill containers. Perish the thought:)
It was lovely to hear just a bar or two of your singing voice. It sounded great and I wanted to hear more.
Off to my beans on toast!
You really can throw a party, dear.
Well done.
Cheers.
Good morning, Naomi :)
Silliness abounds! I love it!
You know, sometimes I am just plain slow. I was reading a post from one of your fans referring to Annie and how much he loved her on The Dick Van Dyke Show, and I was like, what is he talking about?
DUH!!!MILLIE!!! But you know, I didn't recognize her on The Nanny either. My mom had to point it out to me.
So I just got off the phone with Stacy Van Dyke and I am telling her that I am looking at Annie's face right this second and she told me to go out and rent "Please Give", a relatively new film either directed by or starring Catherine Keener. Stacy says that she was THRILLED when Annie shows up in it as a grumpy old woman. She said that Annie is hilarious!!!I will do that this weekend :)
This is so much fun for me!!!This whole discovery process! I love hearing your voice.
Have a fantastic day. We are off to hike Sedona, which will be 20 degress cooler than Phoenix.
Much love to you and all of your friends.
Stan
I definitely thought of your Ladies who Lunch when I posted those photos of my friend Jayn's birthday tea party. And then I come here and YOU ARE lunching with the ladies! We had some bubbles at our luncheon too but not as many as you all had. You can never have too many bubbles or kaleidoscopes! Or cake!
Naomi, You know, If I didn't know you were 80 I would think you were 50. You sound and look much younger than 80.
It's good to be silly, isn't it? I like to get silly too. The problem arises when you are with people that don't understand that...they don't get silly...I mean, they just don't get it. I always feel like they're missing so much.
I admire you, Naomi, for your friendships...I think frienship is so important in life.
I do think that there is nothing like being with a bunch of good friends and being silly – that is what is keeping you young. I admire you for being able to place a video on your blog – I have never tried that. The little videos gave a good idea of the mood of the party – fun and more fun!
You kids are TOO much! Hey, tell Bridget that at my joint's Happy Hour, they were trying to find a song they all knew and decided on theme song from Here Come the Brides! I'm from Indiana and I couldn't believe all those 80-90 year olds knew all the words AND picked it right up without sheet music on an organ! (I forgot I am in Seattle...) AND all the men picked "Candy" as their favorite---wondering if she is still alive. Hahaha, I said, "I bet she is." Hahaha The power of TV.
It's obviously not a proper "Ladies Who Lunch" party unless there are gift bags full of silliness. Looks like you were all having a marvellous time. And that's what life's all about isn't it.... enjoy yourself with your friends when you can, make the most of the good times. I love seeing all those silly smiling faces. Party on, Naomi!
You gals are all such a *hoot*. I love that you are all so young at heart. I can only wish to be a touch like you all when I reach your age.
Great gift bags. I really love those pigs! :D I have a little collection of pigs myself (money boxes, etc).
I hope you're having a great weekend.
Naomi, you DO sing on this. I just listened to a few bars of "Tiny Bubbles". Maybe, one day, if we all ask nicely...you will sing for us.
I keep finding the score for "The Spoon River Anthology", but they are all LPs. I may just buy one anyway...one of my friends is bound to have an LP player.
Love you,
Stan
IF, you want to be my baby, IF you want to be my baby, IF you want to be my baby, you got to let me know :)
I already know the lyrics and am singing this throughout the house!!
Again you bring me joy, lady <3
Oh that just looks like so much fun! I need to have parties like that. I love the gift bags.
My dear Naomi!
This is for you and for your readers who may be wondering what those lyrics above are from....
I shouted, "Holy Crap", to an empty house because I stumbled upon one of your recordings on youtube!
"IF"....your readers need to find it on youtube. It's terrific! You totally sell the hell out of that song! I downloaded it so I can listen to it whenever I want.
I KNEW that it was the song that you refer to in you "List of 100 things...", but am stunned that it wasn't a bigger hit. Soo catchy! I have been singing it for hours.
Absolutely delightful. I get so excitable over things. LOL!!!
You are a treasure.
Much love,
Stan
Hi Naomi,
It is so good to let go every once in a while and do something silly, it helps to keep you young and more importantly, young at heart.
I still love those bubble blowers even now, although my husband has just as much fun squeezing bubbles out of a bottle of washing up liquid, just so long as he doesn't actually have to wash the dishes of course!!!
Kaleidoscopes are an endless source of entertainment, no matter what your age, in fact my 80 year old mother-in-law, has one on her side table all the time ...no one likes to ask, why?? LOL
Looks like you are having great fun
Yvonne
I love that all of you can be "silly" and not be embarrassed by it!! Your gift bags are great fun, Naomi. I love bubbles too and always have them available for my grandchildren, although they are getting too old to play with bubbles (or so they think).
P.S. I have had you in my "add list" for a long time!!
You are on my list too Naomi! You always were! Sometimes things don't show up in my reader that quickly though.
Those flowered piggies are very cute, I bet my mother would love one of those! But my favourite are the flowered shades, not that I'd wear them. I can't see them going with my caps too well but still they are great!
Love the videos too. You make me smile. It's always lovely to hear your voice!
And silly is good! Whatever your age!
All the little details are amazing Noami and love the flower piggy...sooooooooooo cute :D
love the bubbles lol..and the pretty colored pig!!! I don't know where you come up with this stuff!!!
sorry I am late at commenting my computer died and I had to get a new one and I don't know windows 7 so am not comfortable yet ..
Aw, I was hoping you would finish the song. Maybe next time??
I adore those little moving creatures and the face on them is priceless.
I get those bubble makers at weddings and each time I think how much fun they are and I should do it more often.
You all really do know how to have fun.
Looking forward to more.
yes, for sure, and as everyone else has commented, you ladies DO know how to party and to have fun! what a wonderful occasion you created - and i confess that i remain a kid at heart and in ways! ;) love love love the goodie bags, of course - and bubbles! well, now what is a party without bubbles! thanks so very much for sharing all your bubbly fun with us, dear lady! ;)
Looks like another great party! Bubbles and sunglasses and piggies, oh my! So glad you're able to get together and celebrate!!!
Dear Naomi, your Ladies Who Lunch are really so fun and happy! Looks like you were all having a wonderful time. I love the gift bags principally the kaleidoscopes. It remember so much my childhood... Love trew videos too!
I would love to be there...
Someone who doesn't like a "Kaleidoscope"? The big fat Mafi from n. y. Janis Joplin dragged out on the stage and dissed!!!!!(lol) (c. 1968)
Oh, so much fun Naomi!!! I think I would fit right in with all the silliness!! That's my kind of fun! Nothing like good friends and lots of laughter! I love the little wind up jumping critters! I'm off to read the next part!!
