sunset beauty

Sunset.......

There are no words.......

A little further away a minute later.........But, now.....let's take a closer look at this stunning, stunning Sunset....... My tree's....My Tree's.....And God's Sky........ And a closer look at Century City over on the left....the variations of color are breath taking....... And a closer look at that place in the sky that looked completely unreal....talk about variations in color.....
This picture below was taken maybe 20 to 22 seconds earlier than all the rest above....the changes that happen second by second are astounding......The Sunsets this time of year can be so awe inspiring.....I feel very very lucky and privilaged to live where I do and to be given the chance to take in the great great beauty that abounds and surrounds.......

More To Come.......

I love seeing your 'Corot' like trees against that dramatic backcloth. You must feel on top of the world sometimes. Our best skies seem to be in the morning.
In case you don't see my answer to your comment I was wonderig if Jeanette's husband was Nelson's brother. Was it Gene Raymond?

Stunning photos Naomi...I never grow tired of seeing the sunset and the sunrise. Like you, I feel blessed to have the chance to take them in regularly. how can anyone question the validity of miracles after experiencing the glory of natrure's artistry?

ps. I posted a couple of photos on my blog of exactly where I was standing when I took that sun filtering through the pine. I posted in the piece I wrote on Monday. I have others too which I will share in upcoming pieces.

The west coast has the best sunsets and the east coast has the sunrises... last night I saw a fabulous moonrise with wispy clouds and a big, big almost full moon.... beautiful.... but the color of your sunset... outstanding!

Brilliant! I do remember the sunrises and sunsets when I was in LA back in the 90's! I use to be work for a youth organization in western Canada and for spring break we would take a group of teenagers down to LA for the week, then do a missions trip into Mexico. I also remember the smell, not the pollution! I loved that fresh spring air! AND LOVED the ocean of course oh and Disneyland!!hehehe! Beautiful photos

Hi Naomi, simply wonderful pictures. What a wonderful vista around you. I am also blessed, as where we live, there are hills all around us. The sunsets here are great as well, but must confess, it is a rare occasion, when I view a sunrise. Am not a morn. person. Thank you for sharing again. Pat from NY.
PS. its 60 degrees here today, and we are expecting 6 to 8 inches of snow on Friday, am soooo... tired of snow this year.:)

I have been having a LOT of computer problems; so getting around to see blogs or post comments has been a lot slower than usual. Computers-- I both love and hate them
