More To Come.....
NOTE: My blog had been "locked out" until just now. So I was not able to post anything new...I am very grateful that it now appears I am able to poat, once again.....! So, Finally....a new post! Hooray!
Absolutely gorgeous shots as always!! your succulents are wonderful and the details simply amazing and beautiful.
Glad I can enjoy these pics since you were able to post!Have a lovely weekend :)
glad you are back Naomi... with my favorite colors from your succulents too! The merging of these colors is gorgeous! Nature is amazing, there's no doubt about it!
Love succulents too! Your photos are just gorgeous and I loved that amazing "edge" of the plant. The color is so beautifulo too!
Have a nice and lovely weekend!
Ah, those succulents are luscious, Naomi! I love the ruffled one! I'm so glad you are not locked out anymore. I'd sure like to know how and why that happened!
Thanks for the color this morning. It's gray here after a few days of rain and I needed a little "pick me up."
Cheers.
Fabulous!!
Lovely, I love the pink, one of my favorite colors..
In reading some of the other blogs I enjoy reading, they seemed to have had some problems this week as well. Whatever is happening I'm sure will soon be fixed...We hope anyway.
Have a delightful and happy week-end.
Yay! Naomi's back! Yeah, hooboy, if I ever saw a blog that looked like spam, that'd be yours. Pfft. Rrrright.
Those pictures are lovely. In the first few, the ones of the succulent on your deck, they almost look like aged photographs, the colors are so uniquely faded together. Beautiful, as always.
*kisses*
As always Naomi, I love your flowers! I thought the nectar was a drop of dew at first! These are amazing!
What amazing colours and textures... and so well captured (as we have come to expect).
Succulents are strange plants aren't they? Weird but strangely beautiful at the same time.
Glad your blog is unblocked again!
What wonderful plants - to have them on the deck is very exotic to a Norwegian you know.
You really capture the things from your garden in a wonderful way Naomi and the story is a great read too - thanks for sharing.
Hi Naomi. Sorry to read you were 'locked out' -- glad to read this though.
Succulents are bulky yet dainty -- those frilly edge on its leaf and the color of its blooms.
Do have a great weekend.
It's stunning! I'll have to come back later because it's bright where I'm typing and I'm missing some of the effect. I'm in Mass for my 40th HS class reunion at the beach.
what beautiful shapes and subtle colorations. Very impressive and the nectar shot, really cool.
I know how you feel about the not being able to post. We had our dish go out in Wednesday and didn't know how long it'd be out but dial-up doesn't cut it. Fortunately the repair guy came out Friday and after hours of hard work got it going again. I always appreciate it but never more than after it's not been working for awhile.
Glad to have y0u back again.
That's what I call a heavenly pink but the pink at the top is quite different to the one lower down.
Thank you for showing them to us. I can't help thinking that some of us would have plants like that close to us without ever really seeing them.
It's a gift you have and we benefit from it.
Excellent - your passion for Flowers and plants and bees are genuine. Like your passion for old friends - even bloggers you never have met in person. That's a positive story in it self.
btw. Had a very busy day here in SW Michigan today. Lot's of things to do. Two different post from this Saturday.
Ending up with an outdoor concert: Simply Sinatra. We be posted later.
Hi Naomi,
Just dropping by to say thank you for another nice visiting on my blog. I always love seeing your name on comments!
Have a wonderful Sunday!
A big hug to you!
I'm glad you weren't blocked out from posting much longer. You might have blown a gasket!!
:-)
You are so right about how all design ideas can be found in nature. I can see lovely gowns being designed from these photos. From the scalloped edges to those gorgeous colors, it's all there! I can see artists being inspired to create any number of things based on what nature has to offer. It is truly remarkable.
See you soon!!!
:-)
You are such an artist with a camera!!!!!!!!!!! I love these shots!
Naomi,
You made that succulent look like a piece of candy :)
Welcome back to blogland! I'm linking the colours on these pictures too. Quite subtle shading.
your deck is like paradise to me!
this was a bad weekend in cyber land - locked blogs, google reader not reading, sitemeter freezes IE!
The pink and green of the crimped ones look so lovely. And the macro shots are amazing.
Awesome colours! Gord is jealous! Ha!
Gorgeous photos! :) I just found your blog. I used to live in NoHo. Loved it there.
Just beautiful photos showing great detail.
I bought a digital camera on Saturday and am getting oriented to it so I will be able to use it on vacation to Canada next month. I will experiment on my blog so my vacation photos come out good. LOL
How did your lunch go? Pix yet?
naomi..........those photos area absolutely stunning. You are so right, nature is the palette for any designer....not for colour and designs.
I also have to say......these photos have a sexual passion to them too.....love it!
ps. I was booted out of blogger as well......very frustrating. I thought I have been hacked originally. but, it turns out it was a glitch with sitemeter.
Obviously a lot of people had the same difficulty with their blog-reading and blog-writing, but it's all fixed now, thank goodness!
Those succulents are incredible... I'm glad you told me what they are as otherwise I wouldn't have had a clue! Amazing shapes, forms and colours,
'Shocked' in a good way coz I am too stunned by the beautiful pics Naomi :)
Very nice stuff, Young Lady.
Awesome photos as usual , the colour of them is so spectacular also!!
I have been catching up with your blog, when we heard of the quake on the news I thought of you right away, I was happy to read that u had no damages and u werent hurt ...You mentioned other problems, I sure hope things are working themselves out...I am also very sorry for your loss...losing a friend is never easy..but we sure charish the memories we made with them.
Oh how I do love succulents, not that I (now) own/grow any. My thumbs are black. *I know*, succulents are hard to kill!!
Simply beautiful - both the plants themselves and your presentation of them in this post. I alsc really like the first photo you posted. I love it's simplicity and the how the colours change from light pink to almost a deep mauve. Succulents are fascinating plants. Unfotuntaley we can't grown them outside here in the Uk as it gets too cold.
These succulents are just spectacular and your photos are, too. The edges of those plants are so colorful and delicate-looking.
My computer and/or connection has behaved strangely since the earthquake. I wasn't able to post the description of my experience until the day after though I tried several times earlier. Almost thought we might be having "the big one."
