More To Come........
Long live those Hollywood Bees!! As much as bees make me shiver (they creep me out a little - bad childhood memories of actually standing on one and being bitten I'm afraid!) they are good to have around. As you know.
It would seem that all the "buzz around Hollywood" is happening in your garden! (snicker)
That's some stalk! And the bee's are more than pleased by your plant! (it's good to be on the good side of the bee's! hehe)
As usual, the pictures are wonderful.
Sorry I haven't been around much and hoping you're doing well.
Ann
Hi, Naomi really like the last photo in the series. To be able to take a photo, and actually see the wings of a bee as they fly. It is really neat. Hope you have a great day. We buy honey from a man locally who has hives, and it is common for the bees to make clover honey, or loccus honey, depending on what in around them. We resell it at our local farmers markets, people tell us that the honey all tastes different, some sweeter than others? Do you use local honey, and does it have a distinct flavor?

This Dasylarium is gorgeous, Naomi! I have a little fear of bees...Lol! Wow! I saw so much bees around the Flower Stalk! Great video, Naomi!
We need those bees for sure. What a problem we're having with all of them dying mysteriously.
Darn that is a lot of bees! I'm afraid of them as I don't like getting stung...and it has happened a few times.
Brilliant pictures! What a massive plant. How tall is that flower?
We have a Yucca flowering this year, will post some pics. xx
It does appear to be manna to the bees, doesn't it? I am happy to see that bees are thriving somewhere except my house!
Wow, I have never seen such a thing before! Great pics..I just posted some photos of the flowers in my yard today also. None with bees attached though lol
Hi Naomi,
Thanks for your nice compliments about my orchids! All them was planted by Fernando, he loves orchids so much! I realize that orchids did not attract bees...But the Pink Ipê attract many bees!
A big hug to you!
Hi Naomi:
That last picture is absolutely stunning. To be able to see the bees so up close is terrific.
Great photos again!
Take care,
Anne
Very nice busy buzzing around Naomi, I am so scare they might just 'turn around' and attack us ;(
You certainly have the most unusual plants and the wild life must love you for it. Don't get too close. I always feel when my bees are buzzing round an orange shrub they seem to love, that they wouldn't dare sting me but I don't get too close in case:)
Bees are so important to keep crops fertilized. I can understand why you love them on your flowers, Naomi !
You're lucky to have all the bees. They pollinate the rest of your garden making sure you have all the flowers to enjoy!
Cheers.
I'm really thrilled by your fascination for Bees - yeah you might remember I've commented your former post about these important insects and what role they do have in the Nature.
Funny then, Mrs Lifecruiser did post something similar to day.

btw. Sitting here with RennyBA just beside me. In his leisurehome in Sweden.
Not only the bees loves it - we do too Naomi! I'm sitting here together with Tor - he and Anna is visiting us in our vacation home in Sweden. We are talking about your post and your lovely garden and are commenting at the same time.
Thanks for sharing and cheers from both of us (his comment will probably come right before mine).
Wow, the bees certainly do love it!! The stalk is so tall and I'm glad it will provide so many bees with all the goodies it has for them to enjoy! Loved the video Naomi!!!
As always, your posts are "AMAZING"
Your love of the natural world comes through! I left a comment to your comment on Loose Leaf. xo
Gorgeous photos! I have never seen this succulent before but it must be a little bee heaven when it blooms. I adore bees because they always seem so happy when they find a good flower full of pollen. We have wild roses in our garden and I swear the bees fly in there and it looks like they have little bee orgasms while collecting the pollen LOL!!! You have a great garden!!
Your garden is a constant source of wonder! I am so glad you have your bees back as I know how much you enjoy your garden visitors. It seems that there is always something to see and admire in your garden :)
You have THEE most unusual plants/flowers that I've ever seen. They're just incredible. Did you plant all of these, Naomi? Or were they already there years ago when you bought the house?
On the bees...I just saw on a news segment the other night that we're losing our bees in this country. It's terrible! And they really don't know why. So it's very gratifying to see they're still paying a visit to your garden.
