A few more lovelies from Ron Rifkin's Garden, 1979......Above.....A kind of abstract view of a Beautiful Pansy.....
Closed up.......Amazing!
Then.......
Another Pansy----in bloom......
Head On!
Then....more Columbine......But First.....
There is a problem with Google Reader.....it's totally screwed up-plus there are some other Blogger problems.....very discouraging for me.
My energy level is not very good these days----my Lung problems plus other physical crap---well....I get worn out rather quickly.
So....that is the reason I have not been blogging as often----it is a real pain in the arse----I mean the Blogger problems.....
And.....
I have a Birthday coming up on Friday.....
83!
OY!
I'm feeling that number these days!
Back to the Beautiful Columbine----if Blogger lets me.......Grrrrrrr.
Head On!

I love this picture because you can see the pods are fading and almost 'over', as they say.......
Above....
A closer look at the faded pods.....And that 'hair' is actually in the picture and is somehow part of the flower......
Below......when the bloom is still looking good and healthy.......
Sooooo very pretty.......
And one more, below.......
What a BEAUTIFUL Flower this is......
Once again, nature moves us and brings true exquisiteness to our lives.......
I'm so thrilled I can finally show some of these slides, taken such a long time ago......35 years, to be exact!
More To Come........
Thank you for letting me know you had posted Naomi. Other wise I wouldn't have known.

Such lovely images! I don't know if we have the columbine flower here - I'm not familiar with it. It's so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAnd how lovely that your birthday is coming up! I hope you feel well that day and have something fun planned. I remember your luncheon from last year.
Pansies are one of my favorites -- these are terrific photos, capturing all their glory!
ReplyDeleteThese close-up shots are amazing! You really make them look magical. I either need more flowers in my world or a great camera...or do like you and have both! Hope all's well up in your nook. Enjoy the summer! xo
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, Naomi. and in case I don't get to you Friday-- Happy Birthday. Hope despite your physical ailments that you have a great day.
ReplyDeleteThese colors make me feel like I'm falling in love. I like the color shadow the first one casts. I've been taking pictures of flowers and thinking of you! Just trying to get some as sensual as yours. Today I have coneflowers in crew cuts but those aren't the ones I'm talking about. Whenever I see orchids in the grocery stores I look into t hem and think of you! I hope blogger is fixed soon and your strength returns. xo
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday!! Those photos are gorgeous - I can't believe you've had them so long and they came out SO well. Technology isn't everything, obviously.
ReplyDeletewhat fabulous photo's Naomi..each one looks like it could be a painting by you!!
ReplyDeleteOh my a birthday hmmmm, I stopped having them some time ago lol..they wouldn't reverse and "count down" instead of up so I said "pooh pooh" to this! (well maybe I used a different term heh.) I hope you have a happy one Naomi!!! wish I could give you a real Birthday hug!!
Happy Birthday Naomi!
ReplyDeleteLove your lovely flowers. I used to like pansies, I can't remember why I stopped growing them. Huh. I may have to get me some... I stopped growing petunias because they got leggy and smelled weird, but can't remember why I stopped pansies.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! You have quite an audience who look forward to your posts - whether parties or pansies.
ReplyDeleteOH, NO!! I missed your birthday! Naomi, I hope you will forgive me for that, but better late than never, I say and I hope you do too. Sorry to hear that both your problems and blogger problems are giving you fits - believe me - I know how it is. I've had no blogger troubles, however. I hope yours can be fixed soon.
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are lovely, as always. You always show them from a different perspective than most would, and I enjoy that so much!!
I do hope you had a nice, quiet birthday; one that didn't tire you out but let you know how loved you are (and by me, as well, even though I didn't get here on your birthday.
I'm sorry I missed your birthday, Naomi...but as the saying goes..."better late than never"...and as another saying goes...."Happy, Happy Birthday to you".
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoyed your day and carried that enjoyment not only through the weekend, but carry it with you throughout the rest of the year. :)
Beautiful pics of beautiful flowers.
You take good care. Hugs. :)
Hei Naomi! It's been a while :) Belated Happy birthday to you and I hope you had a fabulous b-day party :)

Many Hugs and much Love, my dear Naomi! :)
I can't believe I missed your birthday on the 27th. I hope it was happy and shared with friends. Mine is tomorrow. I've been busy with more home projects and cleaning, it never ends. I hope to post soon.
ReplyDeleteAs I was lying in bed last night watching Wimbledon on TV (yes...I watch TV when I'm in bed...I live alone, along with my two furry rascals, my cats...and can see no good reason for sitting up watching TV when I can be comfortable in bed doing so)....
ReplyDeleteAnyway...back to what I was thinking last night while watching the tennis...I love your posts, Naomi...your blog. You tell wonderful, interesting, heartwarming stories...and I'm glad I came upon your blog...thank you. :)
That was what I was thinking while watching TV last night...
Damn did I miss your birthday???
ReplyDeleteWell blogger seems to have sorted itself out. For now anyway!
I missed this post, I love the close up of the flowers. I've been trying to take a few shots like this myself recently but not as macro as yours!
