That one flower look absolutely edible. He always does such a great job for you.
Oh, I have missed your ladies. So nice to see them together and for such a special day. They all look wonderful and how nice that Betty was represented by her daughter-in- law.
Looking forward to more.
Looks like you had a lovely b.day! Thanks for the pics - those flowers are beautiful, and the closeups are incredible. Hope you're not melting. It's 97 here and I'm guessing it's hotter where you are.
oh how i've missed the ladies that lunch!!
Everyone looks fantastic! The flowers are stunning!
and I am already guessing everyone had a fabulous time!
(diva hats?! tsk tsk now what ever gave you that idea?!! LOL love it Naomi!)
The first flower, the purpley blue one, looks like a kind of scabious, but I don't really know. I DO know, however, that all those flowers are absolutely gorgeous. Van is a magician when it comes to your floral arrangements.
The lunch ladies look wonderful, not a day older than when I last saw them at your house!
I've heard about California's HOT HOT weather, I hope you are staying cool up there on the hillside!
I'm so glad you had such a nice birthday luncheon! I'm looking forward to the next post to hear more.
Beautiful flowers and beautiful friends. I recognize Lee as Lee Meriwether (I think.)
Dear Naomi, love always seeing your "Ladies Who Lunch" pictures. Looks so agreeable and fun!
What stunning these flowers by Van! Nice the idea of the "DIVA" Cap too.
The menu sounds delicious.
Your dear friends looks lovely as always.
I am looking forward to Part 2!
Many hugs!!!
what type of flower is the unique looking one?
Excellent to see you all getting together for a celebratory lunch. Loving the flowers, too.
Happy Birthday Naomi. Love the photographs of you and the flowers Van sent for your luncheon. The purple one is a Scabiosa but the other exotic blossom escapes me. He is a genious with flowers isn't he? Have heard from one more Feaginite as a result of my blog.
Be well dear lady. Happy returns.

What am I doing wrong that I can't leave a comment?
I don't know what I was doing wrong ,but I was unable to leave you a Birthday message...so I went over to your You Tube and left it there..while I was there enjoyed hearing you sing again :)Happy Birthday...many many more :)
Gorgeous flower arrangement and how wonderful to have the ladies who lunch and their celebrating with you while you share it with your readers :)
Hi There Dearest Naomi,

Love to roses and what a great idea to have all of them take a rose home...you just give me an idea Naomi :D
A belated Birthday greeting to you my dearest friend and wishing you best of health & happiness always :D
Muack Muack!!!!
Betty (Shionge at Soshiok)
Hi Naomi, I know I am a stranger as of lately and I've just been catching up with all your blog posts. Loved reading all your posts and sorry to hear about the gardener, the helper that is. How sad. I want to wish you a Happy Belated Birthday! The flowers are so very lovely. Van certainly is at the top in his line of work!! The arrangements you get are far more exquisite and different than anything I've ever seen around here. I love your Ladies who Lunch, so will try to keep up better and might get back to blogging again. I have had a long break from it. I think of you often!! Hugs to you!!!
You gals look TERRIFIC! Better every year! Go Van! Beautiful.
Your parties always make the pictures in House Beautiful-type magazines look like Amateur Hour, Naomi dear.
This is so much fun to peek in on. I love the flowers and beautiful ladies. And the tradition you have created. I'm so glad Betty's daughter in law came to represent. Happy Birthday, Naomi!! xo
So beautiful! It looks like you all had a graet time! :)
I had a lovely bunch of carnations from my neice & nephew for my birthday last month... Flowers never fail to make me smile :)
You gals always have such a fun time!
Ha ha love the diva caps. Looks like you all deserve them too! I was looking forward to seeing your birthday shots but your post didn't show up in my reader!
The flowers are so beautiful too. Flowers always make something look that much more special. Even though I'm not a great fan of them in some ways I think they are nature at it's most beautiful.
The first flower is scabiosa and the second one is a scabiosa pod, which forms after the flower fades. I love both of them!! Another wonderful party, I am sure. Lee is still quite beautiful and I wish my hair could look like Bridget's!! Alas, I have too much natural curl to wear my hair that long. Waiting for the rest of the pix!!
incredibly beautiful flowers to match the wonderful radiance of all you ladies who lunch!
The girls all look blooming- like the exquisite flowers.
The first two are beyond description and the first one had a sort of cactii look.
What an artist he is.
What a wonderful way to celebrate! Oh, the flowers are lovely and everyone looks like they are having the best time!
