Beautiful pictures, I can almost smell the fragrance!
Here's to a swift recovery too.

I've never seen that plant with it's flower within a flower. Amazing!
I'm really sorry you aren't feeling well at the moment. I hope you feel better very soon! Look after yourself!
What is it about that shade of pink that lifts one's spirits?
And the plant itself is so incredible.
Seeing it up close like that I didn't recognise it.
I wish I could pop over Naomi and give you a hug - as much needed here also.
I've always loved Bougainvilleas.. I had some when I was married and had a real home.. I still enjoy looking at them all when I am in any store/nursery that sells them...
I am sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. I hope you feel better soon!! xoxo
Did you post this in the middle of the nigh? Aren't you sleeping. Get well soon. Pics would do Georgia O'Keeffe proud.
I am so sorry you are not feeling well and hope the lovely Bougainvillea pics picked you up as they did me. That is one of my favorite plants--thorns and all.
Do feel better soon dear lady.
Get well soon, beautiful pictures! xx
A really glorious series of photos! Thank you so much for sharing.
Those are beautiful! I'm glad they gave you a life...sending you good thoughts and I hope you heal up soon!
I hope you get to feeling better soon.
Oh my - I'm sorry you are not well. I love the flower pics - especially the flower within a flower. Take care and I hope this finds you better today.
Sorry you are not feeling well. The flower photos are gorgeous as always and do uplift. I love bougainvilleas. We have them in Tucson but when I tried to grow them up here, it required being in for the winter and they didn't last long.
FIRSTLY - I am sorry to hear that your not well... And I wish you a speedy recovery to good health!!
It amazes me that with the Bougainvillea, the colour is actually NOT a flower!! It is what’s called a 'bract', and that the flower itself is the small creamy white tubular part we see in these lovely photos!
We have a lot of plants here in Australia that have Bracts as the 'display'! The Waratah, which is the floral emblem of my State (New South Wales), is actually FULL of them!! It is an exquisite flower, but difficult to grow in mainstream gardening... http://www.anbg.gov.au/emblems/nsw.emblem.html
Oh I love bougainvilleas :: they line the main road here in Trinity Beach with an array of colours and remind me a lot of Abu Dhabi as they were abundant in villa gardens there.
Hope you're feeling okay. Nothing worse than feeling a little under the weather. xx
So beautiful and you are right, they do lift the spirits :)
Looking at them made me happy! I hope you are in the pink soon! xo
As you know, Bougainvilleas won't grow here in the Great White North, but I have seen them when I have visited warmer climates, and they are stunning colours! Thank you for warming up my day!
And my very best wishes for your recovery... it's horrible to feel poorly.
BTW I sent you a postcard.... did it arrive yet? I can't remember when I sent it, it was some time ago.
We have lots of purple ones here so this is really nice :D
Take care Naomi :D
Naomi, I am so distressed that you are having some severe physical problems. I applaud your sharing such beauty with us when you are struggling so. I do hope things turn for the better and soon.
Meanwhile, take solace in these lovely photos. They are stunning.
Sending healing thoughts and wishes.

I hope you get to feeling better soon.
I do pop round from time to time, though (as you can see with this comment) it is usually long after the posting so i don't often comment. Maybe I should anyway.
You have such beautiful flowers and I hope you never tire of them.
I can empathize, I've been having muscle and back problems. If your back isn't working properly, nothing is getting done. Hope you feel better soon!
May God bless you and restore you to good health QUICKLY. This year is one of the most stupendous for bougainvillea.
Naomi, I am so sorry you are not feeling well and I hope you will feel better very soon!
Love your Bougainvillea's pictures! I also never seen a flower within another flower. It is just amazing!
I saw on tv a reportage about the fire in California and I am very concerned with you. Are you ok? I hope so!
Many hugs and much love my dear!
Just came to say that I hope you are feeling better? And there is an award for you on my blog.
The pink from your flowers is so luminous and happy. I read that if you paint a room pink it will keep you in a cheery mood. Those are such pretty flowers. I do hope you feel better very soon. Please keep your spirit up. Take care dear Naomi.
I hope you are feeling on top of things again Naomi. You have had a lot to contend with. Beautiful photos - they cheer me up no end. I needed it today too. Much love to you xx
