Wow indeed that is beautiful!! And talking of beautiful thank you so much for the links to see Kylie. I couldn't get all of them to work because I'm in the UK I think, but I looked them up on You Tube and found them all. She came across really well!! Loved the Time Bomb one. :D Thank you so much. :)
I see the creature - just beautiful. Breathtaking orchids. A lovely friend in Van, you have.
I have said it before Naomi but your photos would be marvelous wall hangings. You have such an eye and ability to capture.
Who knew there were so many adorable "creatures" in the center of flowers. You have made me look more carefully at my own. Thanks.
From Laura
A belated Happy Birthday Naomi! I love the last post about the sign from your brother. I love how you show how nature is so beautiful and amazing if you only take a closer and slower look. You make me look closer at the nature around me. I hope happy memories of your brother are filling your heart today.
I see it!
So very beautiful! Thanks for sharing these with us :)
How sweet of Van and how beautiful the orchid! Love the last closeups. You are the best at those...and I can see why you enjoyed painting flowers. They really brighten up a room and a mood JUST LIKE THAT. Thanks for sharing on this rainy South Florida night.
BIG bear hugs to you during these difficult moments, my friend. Lots of love always, Ily ♥
Gorgeous!
I hope all your birthday wishes come true. Your flowers speak that too.
Dear Naomi, they are gorgeous and do you know Orchid is our National Flower :)
Sending some hugs and love to you :D
Your photographs and interpretations are a work
of art in themselves.
I think I like the small ones best.
A belated Happy Birthday!!!! Your orchids are lovely!!!!
and what an incredibly magnificently beautiful creature she is - the one emerging from your fantastic orchids - you know, i've never owned an orchid plant although i've given them as gifts many times - your wonderful images now prompt me to have my own! just beautiful, naomi - thanks so much for sharing -
Dear Naomi, I enlarged these gorgeous photos and I see this creature and the two eyes. Just amazing. What a beautiful and meaningful message!
So gentle your lovely friend Van!
I hope you have a pleasant week.
So beautiful -- what a lovely remembrance and reminder that it is a beautiful world after all (and sometimes we all need to be reminded).
Nature is endlessly fascinating!
You have beautiful orchids at home dear Naomi :) The orchids I have at home are a complete opposite to yours. Most of them are halfway dead and I'm trying to revive them. I was so busy that I forgot to water them for a month!
They ARE gorgeous! So pretty and perky like cute rosy girls. What personalty! The creature looks like a bird!
how gorgeous can one plant get?!! Nature is always beautiful...
These are gorgeous blooms! The clear yellow in the first post is so beautiful. I love the macro shots you take. It's pure form and color.
Naomi, the "eyes" are the sex organs of the orchid! I was once told by a well-known CA florist that if you remove them (on cut orchids, not plants) the flowers will last longer. They are indeed gorgeous.
You have taken some gorgeous pictures there Naomi – they truly are eye candy. There are so many treasures in nature, so many beautiful sights that it can fill our heart with pleasure and peace. What a wonderful present your florist friend gave you. Thanks for sharing this beauty with us.
Wow is right! Thanks to you, I now look closer to see the flowers in my garden more thoroughly than before!
I was reading what Kenju said above. This year when I bought Easter lilies the guy told me that if I took tweezers and removed the stamens that the blooms would last much longer. Interesting, this world of flowers and plants!! Hope you are doing well dear lady!!
You are quite right, those orchid blooms are beautiful, and they become more and more intricate and lovely as you zoom in. Mother Nature is pretty good artist, don't you agree?
And you wonderful florist, Van, really knows that you appreciate true beauty. What a nice man.
Your orchids and the photos are splendid! What a thoughtful and beautiful thing for Van to give you after your brother's death. It would make it all the more special.
How are you doing Naomi?
I am catching up. Orchids are beautiful and this one is exquisite. That was lovely of Van and clearly he has as much of an eye for beauty as you do.
I agree with your other readers Naomi, you photography is amazing. I would love a coffee table book filled with your flower shots. Nature doesnt need airbrushing hey?
