I love the way in the first one he so nearly manages to fall off the bed or whatever he was on - but magically doesn't. Obviously loved living dangerously.
On the second one with Rabies I was so concentrating on his very expressive tail I missed the pounce.
He really was such a character.
Those videos are adorable Naomi. Cats, besides being such wonderful companions, are so darn amusing.
I am so glad you have these so you can visit with your friend whenever the pain is too acute.
I know you miss him so terribly but am relieved that you can relive happy times and smile at that handsome fellow any time you wish.
I think you have found the perfect way to get through this time. Loved the videos.
That video is funny. I love Sweetie's slowly twitching tail. It looks like a lion's tail. You're fortunate that you took so many videos and pictures. I have some pictures of my dog, Max, but no videos. I would love to see some of his antics on film again, to remember how he looked and moved. Sending you hugs.
Ha ha, Sweetie was adorable! I loved the way he nearly fell off the table.
I do remember Rabies, when he came to visit. Looks like a bit of competition!
How lovely that you have the photos and vides as a lovely reminder of your beautiful Sweetie.
I totally understand Naomi, he was such a dear cat. The videos are wonderful - he was such a playful kitty. I only a couple of videos of Bob but I hold them close to me now. I am so glad I have them so I understand what a comfort these are for you. Take care x
Be thankful for the memories, video, photos, and most of all your time together. Those of us who've experienced close animal friends know what that means.
How nice that you have the photos and videos so you will always remember what a good cat he was. I love the part where he almost falls off the table!
oh Sweetie...oh you...my heart is breaking. My little Princess is fading...blind now...needs help a lot. I hate to even leave my house so I can be near her...cuddle, hold...I so KNOW HOW YOU FEEL. please hang in there. Sweetie doesn’t want you to hurt, she stills remains in your heart, forever, a love that will never die. She wants you to not to be sad...we want you not to be sad. It will get better. Find something that gives you joy...music always helps me. cry alot...and then let the sadness go and let the Universe take your pain away...
So sorry I didn’t communicate with you ie. Check...bad, bad me! You know I thought I did, but I get spacey...but yes, I got it...just didn’t get to the bank. I will tommorrow...promise. sorry again.. xxx Cynthia
Hi Naomi, was reading VV's Blog, and noticed you mentioned Sweetie. Am very sorry for your loss.

These videos are so sweet, just like your Sweetie – they show how playful he was. I laughed when he jumped on Rabies – at first he looked like he was not interested then he jumped very fast. So nice to have them to see your sweet pal again – what a good idea you had to take them. I’ll take some of my cats too – I had not thought about it. Cats have so much character and your Sweetie certainly had plenty of it.
After reading your post I immediately thought of a verse that I found several years ago:
Within the sweet mystery of life, we met. Lucky are we.
I'm so very sorry for your loss. My heart is with you.

Sweet memories of Sweetie!
not an easy thing to do watching those videos... I remember the monkey one.. our animals are so deep in us.. loving us no matter who we are or what we look like or rich or poor...thank goodness we've had them in our life.
he certainly was a beautiful kitty!
Those clips made me smile through the sadness I feel for you. It's easy to see how you fell in love with him.
I am glad you can watch the videos and be helped by them. Sweetie had a wonderful life with you.
WHY do I keep thinking of Sweetie as a SHE! aaaargh Like Paul Newman, just too dang pretty to be a male! My sexism is showing! He is the most beautifully handsome cat I have ever seen, truly. I can't imagine what a loss you feel. Glad you have pics and flix!
I am glad you have captured them in videos and photographs....precious memory.
Thinking of you Naomi.....{{HUGS}}
The picture in the previous post that shows Sweetie's tale disappearing into the cat tree just cracks me up!!
We're so lucky to have the ease of video today to capture activities with friends, family and pets. Glad you can continue to enjoy your Sweetie with these humorous video memories.
I think of Sweetie as a "she," too.
Must have been his feminine side coming through cyber-space.
I have found looking at photos and films healing. Bringing back sweet memories....
So lovely and precious memories of Sweetie... Love the videos and I remember well the day when dear Sweetie meet Rabies. So cute, so adorable!
I feel the same, Naomi. Looking pictures and videos of Flora makes her more "present" to me too. But, however, seeing her photos and videos are too painful, because I see that Flora is no more with me...
Sending to you many healing hugs and much love.
Ah, dear Sweetie. I do recall the Rabies one! I love watching cats play, they are so entertaining. It's great to have so many pictures and videos. I think it's good therapy too! I've been thinkng of you often during this time. xxoxx
THanks for sharing these pictures and videos with us. Your sweetie was so adorable. You'll always have those lovely memories :)
Hi Naomi,
I have only just caught up with your last couple of posts and learned of your sad loss.
'Sweetie' sounds like he was so much more than a pet, he was so obviously a true companion and friend and you must miss him terribly.
The many photos and film you have of him, will I am sure, be a comfort to you over the coming days and weeks and sharing them here, with all your many friends, will be a great source of joy and happy memories.
Take Care.
Yvonne
My husband Jimmy and I were reading about your precious Sweetie and we laughed when he attacked Rabies and ran to the other end of the couch. We adore cats and are very sorry for your loss.
Our Princess had surgery in September for a masses on her kidneys but she escaped the big C, but we found out that she has bad kidneys, so every other day my husband and I do an IV on our Princess. This aides her kidneys so that they don't have to work as hard and it keeps her alive. She doesn't even act sick anymore, but without the fluids she wouldn't last very long.
Again, so sorry for the loss of your dear friend and companion Sweetie. He was a very beautiful cat.
Oh, Naomi, these videos are adorable. I can see how they would comfort you. I have but one of Stimpy, who left six years ago, and I cherish it. You remind me that I must capture Gypsy on video, too. Thank you for sharing your sweet Sweetie with us. He's so dear, so lovely.
I love seeing Sweetie...whatever brings you comfort.
I still have videos of Chi Chi that i watch sometimes.
