More To Come..........
What exquisite roses - as you often say yourself, they look good enough to eat :)
Sounds like you had a good time at your family gathering. It is a testament to how much you are loved, that people come from far and wide to see you :)
Naomi, you took fantastic pictures of those gorgeous roses! I am amazed with the beautiful variety colors of all them. I almost feel here in my house the delicous perfume of those roses.
These stunning pictures remember me your precious Calendar, "Naomi Caryl's Photos's 2010".
Wishing you a lovely weekend with beautiful Sweetie.
I hope the things that are happening are good things. The roses are a lovely distraction.
No news is good news, right? I hope so, Naomi.
Your rose photos are always exquisite.
At my last job a co-worker started bring me a rose from her garden every couple of days. She carefully wrapped it in a wet paper, bagged the bottom, and carried into our office building across town, by bus. We were a cross in the halls, "Hi," co-workers. Her husband's name was Donald Sutherland and she had a very curved back. I will never forget her kindness. My favorite was her "JFK rose" that was all white with a red spot on it. Her hobby was raising unique roses. There is just something about a rose...somehow reminding us of beauty in the midst of an often brutal event we call LIFE.
Hi Naomi,
Getting those beautiful flowers must have been a lovely surprise for you, so something nice has happened this week.
Roses are one of my favourite flowers, it is just a shame that they generally last for such a short time, but never mind, I do appreciate the sheer beauty of a delicate rose, whilst it lasts.
Also, I don't know whether this is the same in the US as over here in the UK, but I find that cut roses that are purchased from a florist generally have little or no scent to them?
Your photos are fantastic as always and a permanent reminder of that lovely family gathering.
Stay well and happy.
Yvonne
Such gorgeous shots and lovely roses! wishing you a restful weekend.
I could do with your lovely roses - my cupboard is bare and you know what that feels like.
On the bright side I have just ordered Joan Didion's 'Blue Nights' on your recommendation and will let you know how I find it - eventually.
Just stopping by to wishing you a pleasant weekend.
Nice to see your gorgeous roses again!
Many (((hugs)))
Your rose photos are breathtaking. Nothing like a rose to lift spirits. I can almost smell the fragrance of those. I hope you are feeling better soon. Winter is such a hard time and you have had a tough year with the loss of Betty. I hope better is ahead for you.
Those roses are so beautiful! They're brighten up anyone's day or week :)
P.S. - Here in the UK we'd say Great Niece, but you can call her what you like :)
I hope you're well. Take care.
I love how you always see the artistic side of those beautiful roses...and all the flowers that you photograph.
seeing roses always reminds me of DeForest and Carolyn.. the walk up the path to their front door had a whole garden full of rose bushes and it always smelled so wonderful to walk that path! Thank you for the memory! I hope you and sweetie are well
Love the roses!!!! I need to buy myself a small bouquet. It's winter here and flowers are gone.
A rose by any other name...
I like the last one, too--the touch of pink on the petal. Lovely. I love your macro shots, Naomi.
I hope you're feeling better.
Thanks for your Monday "flower" posts, including this one. They never fail to lift my spirits.
Cheers.
I think that each of those exquisite roses represents a precious family memory... especially with so many family members coming together from all ends of the country. It sounds like it was a wonderful gathering of family members who had not seen each other for a long long time.
I'm happy that you were able to take part, even though you weren't feeling well. Thankfully you are feeling better now.
I went shopping for roses for a gift for ME a couple of days ago.... but I think I'll have to wait for a fresh delivery.... the roses in the store were a bit tired.
I showed Chris these this morn and the first thing he said was "Georgia O'Keeffe". :)
I do hope they share their pictures with you so we can see. Just wonderful roses. Could almost smell them.
I am like you on the correctness of Great or Grand concerning nieces and nephews. I use both. They are grand individuals and we are pretty great so there.
Feel better sweet lady.
I cannot believe the effect these rose photos have on me. They turn me to mush and make my eyes wet with emotion!!
Wonderful photos! And it sounds like a memorable gathering.
Naomi, the roses are so beautiful and such a unique flower, as all flowers are in their own way. I am so glad you got to spend time with your dear family!! I do hope you are feeling better and doing okay! Big hugs dear lady, and I hope your Thanksgiving is lovely too!!!
Thank you for sharing the roses. All unique. All lovely.
