More To Come........
I'm guessing that this is an illustration from the Karma Sutra and the people who own the house have had a tiled picture made which they have attached to the entrance of their house - (of ill repute?)
I think it's a vase, but try as I might, I can't discern the scene. It would be cheating if I looked it up on Google, so I'll concede defeat.
Cheers.
no idea to be honest... it looks like its in some kind of kingdom..in front of the pillars...
BTW off the topic the bottom post of this one is cool to look at with the feet...
Looks like a mural but I won't hazard a guess about it's provenance.
Tiles within a tile?
It really has been a LONG time! I loved scrolling down and seeing your lovely driving adventure with your friend Lee Meriwether. She, Kim, and you are all three such lovely, beautiful women!!
Thanks for dropping me a note on my blog.
I'm still not ready to come back to blogging, but I will resume one of these days. I've been to Nashville twice with Taylor lately, and Courtney is doing well in school and will be coming home for spring break soon. Keith's mother just finished her second round of chemo, and she is handling it all very well. Life is clipping along...
It was nice to stop by and read your blog again!!!
I won't hazard a guess, but it is lovely.
I think it's from Disneyland.
JOKING!
A painting on china?
A vase or a plate? Not Grecian, judging by the costumes, but it didn't look quite Indian either. I don't know, I'm stumped.
I don't know, but it's pretty!
I did some research after your last post and it seems these homes were originally settled by wealthy Persians that fled Iran when the Shah was overthrown, so I'm assuming it's some Persian scene and that it's a tile.
Hmm... looks like an Italian scene from the Renaissance and perhaps in Venice. People playing cards, receiving guests and just having a good time out on the terrace.
I was wondering if it was in ceramics or a print on metal.
You have made me curious, that is for sure...lol
I think it's a picture made of ceramic tiles on a gatepost, or perhaps on a wall.... outside a mansion!
I don't know either but you sure got some interesting answers!!!
I have GOT to get new glasses. A wine label.
Gosh...is it a painting?
only in l.a.! ;~D no idea, but i'm looking forward to finding out where and what is is! xoxoxo
Naomi, I have no idea... but I confess I am very curious...
I've believe it's a scene from the Renaissance in ceramics...but I have no idea who's in the scene (and even if I'm close). PLEASE TELL!! The suspense is killing me.
It is gorgeous. What ever and why ever.
No idea, but I am curious, too :)
Haven't been around much as I cannot access my own pc due to a mean virus ($%"?¿), a friend will take care of it next week...
