Naomi, the flower is absolutely beautiful. The delicacy of the blossom and the intensity of the color are wonderful. We have the same flower but in shades of pink. Thanks!
When I opened the page and saw the title Purple Blues I thought you were going to go into music and I thought how interesting. I'd never heard of Purple Blues, ah too much music on the brain I guess from the weekend! But I loved the flower photos, very beautiful.
You are the Georgia O'Keefe of the camera, Naomi!
your painters eye shows most when you photograph your flowers! I never heard the name Purple Blues, what a great name!
I'm looking for a cap in that purple! The yellow looks amazing with it too.
Absolute perfection! The colors are brilliant. I wish I could paint what nature creates. *sigh*
What divine colours! Love those purples and mauves, and the little splash of sunshine yellow.
You have certainly captured all the joys of lisianthus!
I love those purple flowers since purple is one of my favourite colours because it stands for royalty. The photos you took are absolutely beautiful!
Such lovely flowers......
I have a passion for purple! Believe it or not I took pictures of flowers at Floyfest, which I may post later. I'll be processing pictures for weeks. Not through yet. I did see Deana, by the way, briefly at the festival. We both love Donna the Buffalo, so I wasn't surprised that I saw her at the start of their set. But the rain started coming hard and we just shared a big hug. That was it!
Was not aware of Purple Blues either.
You have the "eye" for composition that can't be learned.
Purple is one of my favourite colour Naomi and you captured them beautifully once again :D
BIG HUGS my dear friend and to Seemah too :D
Deep purple/lavendar is my favorite color, so these flowers were a delight to look at! They come alive in these photos and I hope at least one of them make it in your 2010 calendar!
Thanks for sharing, my friend...and I hope you are doing well. I'm hoping these flowers brighten your spirit like they do mine.
Purple blues, stunning absolutely stunning, about to email you a catch up.
I have a couple of pics to blog and Miss20 is now Miss21 ( and I feel horribly horribly remiss that I didn't contact you on your birthday when it was right on my calender!!)
Hi Naomi, your flowers's photos are absolutely gorgeous! The purple blues is amazing and with the little yellow inside is more fantastic! I wish we could add scents to our blogs... Thanks for such beauty.
Big hugs to you and to Sweetie too!
oh now these are also quite lovely. So delicate, they almost look like fine tissue paper.
Gorgeous!!!!
Thanks for stopping by the blog. I've been really lax about blogging, but intend to resume. BlogHer is coming to NYC next year and I want to go... and being an active blogger makes me more "qualified" to be there! (in my own mind, of course)
Hope you are doing well. I promise to start making the rounds again! (funny how Michele's Meet & Greet really kept the blogosphere moving, don't you think?)
BTW, you'd do wonders with the bougainvillea in Positano!!
These are just beautiful. I love the purple.. If I had a favorite purple this would be it.
Well colour me purple:)
That must be the most amazing of your flowers so far. But you keep on amazing me. Is it a rose? The only blue rose I have ever known was 'Blue Moon' - but a shadow of that gorgeous flower.
Wow! You know I love love love purple!
these photos are 3D!!
and the purple is wonderful, my favorite color
I'm going to print these photos for my mom. Her favorite color is lavender/purple. She'll love this post. (She doesn't do the "internet thing," alas.
Cheers.

Edelweiss Transplanted called you "the Georgia O'Keefe of the camear and she was so right.
Breathtaking - you make them even more beautiful with your wonderful artistic eye. So glad I found you and your blog. I could imagine these photos in a gallery - could you imagine? Flowers always make me feel better with the world. Take Care
Ooh! Gorgeous! I adore the colour of those indigo petals. Some of these shots would look wonderful as a series of pictures on a wall : )
