Now THAT'S what I'm talking about! I love how you can see it raining as well as the reflection of the sun off the ocean. Incredible and stunningly beautiful.
Whenever I see a sky like that, I think of the beginning of bereshit (genesis) "and God said "Let there be light". You gotta think that whomever wrote those words saw a sky like this.
Spectacular!
Fantastic!
It's funny but I was looking at the dusk sky this weekend adn saw a similar sky over the estuary as I was driving over the Severn Bridge. The sun was streaming from behind the a couple of clouds adn had backlit them beautifully casting beams of light accross the fiery sky and hitting the water. I only wish I had been able to take a picture . You have captured it brilliantly adn it reminded me of the sky I saw too :-)
I bet there are fabulous "moonsets" out there on the Pacific as well!
We're both watching the sky in amazement and taking photographs of it! I feel so inspired and awed that it is different everyday!
I got my 13 up. I have a snowflake maker and instructions on how to take a crazy 8 ball apart...and a photo of me from the 60s! xo
Stunning! a pic to look at for hours!
Light coming through clouds always gets me too.
I don't know how you do it.. your eye for photographs just has no limits!
man thats pretty!
every now and then we get sun streaming through the clouds that remind me of the pictures of God's hands, do you know the ones i mean? anyways, you have a wonderful eye for beauty!
OMIGOD - just beautiful.....
May I borrow it for my laptop desktop picture?

Simply gorgeous :)
Looks like Heaven peeking through. M loves cloud and sun formations. I'm going to have to show her this one. You're right, there's so much going on in this picture. Did you see all the layers of shapes and colors in those clouds? Fantastic picture!
Very lovely Naomi!! I love it when the lights come through like that!! You did great at capturing it!!
Spectacular! I love clouds and I love how it turns the city to gray shadows. What a show! : )
I really does look like a painting! Amazing.
Sunsets are my all time fav and you have many nice ones on your blog! The clouds make it so dynamic!
Here from Michele this time.
You aren't getting any of that hurricane force wind that the Northwest is under, I hope. Spring has returned here.... my mom hopes it will get cold and snow for Christmas but I told her not to count on it.
I'd definitely want this on my wall. It speaks to me, and it absolutely does not surprise me that you were able to capture it so perfectly.
Happy sigh.
Hi,
I'm here from Michele's this time but it gave me an opportunity to see your fabulous photo again!
Once upon a time, there was a magical building in the valley made all of geometric panes of glass. It seemed to attract rainbows and "stage lights", towering clouds and swirling mist. My husband and I sometimes went miles out of out way to drive by this rainbow's end. Sadly, it was destroyed, gone without a trace. Too bad you had not captured it with your camera. But I'm sure it lives on in the memories of all who saw it.

What a fantastic picture, Naomi!
The light between the clouds and the buildings silhouette are just wonderful!
You certainly have seen the light. Great replica of a magical moment.
That truly is one amazing photo, Naomi. It looks like a painting on canvas. Just beautiful. I love the winter sunsets...they seem to have so much more passion in them.
25 years ago that would have been a typical sunny day in LA, with the smog.
It is so much better today. Great picture.
Hello from Michelle and from AOC up in Nor Cal.
THE WHITE CLOUD LOOKS LIKE IT'S CIRCLING A CASTLE FLOATING IN THE AIR. ETHEREAL AND SO LOVELY.
Reminds me of the scene in Singing in the Rain where Gene Kelly uses movie lighting and wind machines to set the scene for his romantic moment with Debbie Reynolds.
Beautifully shot!
Here from Michele's.
that IS beautiful! i might be able to live in the city if i had a view like that....:)
I always love it when the sun streams through the clouds like that. We have been having very deep orange sunsets here due to the dust in the air from the Australian bush fires.
Michele sent me.
It looks like heaven reigning down!! Gorgeous!!
Beautiful! You have to go to Amsterdam, usually, to see that kind of cloud and light action.
spectacular
Love that tree! And REALLY love that paining behind it.
