These flowers will open tonight! There are eight all together....seven, almost in a cluster of sorts....It's going to be an interesting look when they are all open at once!
And just to show you what happens to these beautiful flowers in a little more than 12 hours past midnight when they are at their most 'open'....here they were late last night...(just a reminder...) And here they are today.... Finished. Ended. Over. For another year. And so...later tonight I will be hoping to capture the eight beauties that will be wide open and I'm also hoping if I'm real quiet, that wonderful pollinating moth will appear and let me get a picture of himself doing his thing or whatever!
And I will post the results on July 2oth!
Yes!
More to come.....
I can't wait to see the flower pics tomorrow--I hope that moth does show up again.
Okay-I'm off to check out this tour of homes thing!
I look forward to seeing more of the flowers. I am not sure I will participate in the home tour; I have already posted parts of mine. Maybe I will......LOL
The homes tour sounds like a super idea!! only I will be away during that weekend... Love your flowers..I think you will enjoy my wordless wednesday today! happy wednesday :=)
Hi, Why do these flowers open only at night? Do they only open once? It's wonderful of you to be able to capture them on camera. Night bloomers! We must miss seeing many beautiful flowers then.
I look forward to seeing the next bouquet!
I will have to check out the home tours thing, not sure if I will take part yet. I am being lax lately in updating. I did actually post tonight finally lol.
what a great idea to have home tours! that would be most interesting. will check out thr participants for sure! ;)
I had read about the tour over at Kenju's...but because of recent postings when I showed my tile, I decided to pass on it. Looking forward to seeing all the other homes though.
Awww...the flowers are gone. But at least you certainly enjoyed them despite their short lifespan.
well hell lol.. that's the day i leave for the weekend for the convention... so that following monday I will be playing catchup with journals i read and posting about the con.. ah well.. this isn't my home anyway so you wouldn't learn a thing about me lol..
I'm glad that a handful of those flowers are blooming each night for you.. that way it seems like you can enjoy the flowers as long as any other blooming flower!!
did you try to listen to gregg hunter on the computer radio monday night?? I think you would enjoy him.
Hmmm...you've got me on that teaser photo of your home...I'll be sure to come and see what it really is!!!

Hi Naomi, I think this “Tour of Homes” will be great! I can’t wait to see another corner of your beautiful house and I would like to see your antique stove, too!
Love your Cereus photos! Those beautiful and strangest plants of the desert are amazing. Guess what? I found a Blog about Cereus, http://nbcereus.blogspot.com/2005/09/further-cereus-development-9-03-2005.html and a Cereus Home Page, http://rfovell.bol.ucla.edu/cereus.html
But believe me, my dear Naomi, your photos are the MOST BEAUTIFUL than the others!
Looking forward to the tour!
The home tours sound like fun. I will check it out.
I hope you are having a good week thus far.
It is HOT here, and I mean HOT!
I suppose I can't get any sympathy though, since you were without AC for quite awhile and also, the entire country seems to be in a heat wave.
I look forward to seeing the flowers. I wish they lasted longer since they are so beautiful.
I'm in on the tour thingamajig!!
Wow, how interesting. Amazing that God gives us so many very unique gifts of beauty.
Nice photos.
Oh, the house tour does sound fun!

I'd like to do the tour of homes thing too! I will have to check that out.
I feel bad for those flowers...BOOM, one shot and out for a whole year. That kinda sucks!
I just had to rush over here and tell you, Houston we have a dress, I repeat we have a dress.
And if people hate it they better not say anything I don't want to know LOL
In the last one they look like washed up models drying their dyed red hair!
Sadder than the high fashion sunflowers when they wilt.
I am anxious to see the large moth. You don't usually think of moths as being beautiful, like butterflies, but some are gorgeous.
Home tours sounds very interesting!! The pictures are lovely of course. I always love seeing your beautiful flowers.
I was wondering about that house or whatever it was that was being built on top of that hill before. I know it's probably too hot for your walks around the neighborhood now, but I wondered how that was progressing. Maybe when it cools off??
Give Sweetie a kiss for me!!
