the beginning & the day after

So this is how the Living Room looked just before the "party" started, at about 2:55pm on Saturday...all the balloons were heliumed-up-to-the ceiling. So the room was looking festive and filled with hope...
And the above photo...looking in the other direction.

And then....the morning after. And, than again, looking in the other direction...> So....that's it! Well, not all of it, of course....It's all I'm up for at the moment. But as soon as I recover somewhat, (I am extremely tired from a wonderful week of Celebration...) I will post a lot of pictures...and just let me say, it was everything I hoped it would be, and more....the body is exhausted but the heart is very very 'full', 'light' and 'happy'....

More will be forthcoming, my dears

Something tells me that there is a lot of magical prose inherent in the balloons' trip from the ceiling to the floor. I can't wait to hear the stories and see the pictures. No one takes us on a journey better than you, Naomi.

I'm so happy it was a great celebration for you. I'm sorry more of us couldn't be there in person. THAT would have been cool!

Oh, I'm so glad you had a great week Naomi! You deserve it for sure! Love all those balloons. Too bad they all dropped to the floor! But that's what they do.

Love you pretty furniture and pictures!

Get some rest and we'll all be looking forward to the pictures.

So hard to keep the helium in those balloons isn't it. Were there fireworks? I'm sure music was involved. What fun!

Thank you sharing this wonderful celebration with us, it has been a delight for me to be a part of it. You have a beautiful home but more than that I am discovering a lovely lady who has many friends that see she has a heart of gold.

I can not wait to see and hear more. Relax for now and just hold tight to the memories.

You have a gorgeous place, Naomi and oh, how I'd love to hear you play that piano and sing!
I chuckled about the two photos of the balloons....very symbolic. They looked so pretty though.
Rest up, take it easy after such a fun-filled and busy week and come back and share all that we missed.

Beautiful! The pictures brought memories of my sister who had beautiful pictures everywhere, books lining the walls and a piano.
I wish we could listen to you play that piano and sing your favorite songs.

Thank you for inviting us to your party. Did we behave? Do we have a standing invitation to the party next summer?

The view from your window is one I envy. I hope you see wonderful fireworks across the city tomorrow night as you toast the future.

Hello, Michele sent me.

Glad you had a great time, in the virtual and real-calorie cake parties.

The cat having fun batting the baloons? At least with them a little deflating a claw is less likely to cause a cat suddenly stuck to the ceiling.

Sounds MARVELOUS so far, can't wait to read the rest.

You seem to have had an amazing birthday celebration, all birthdays should last for days and days and days instead of just one, and hosts of parties should be held.

We will be down your way in just a month, playing tourist, and letting our kidlets enjoy the wonders of Disney, Universal Studios, and then San Diego Zoo.
