I saw your post in Friday's Child blog, and glad I dropped by here.
Beautiful pictures. Love the flowers!!
I really enjoy going through your posts. I don't see these varieties of cactus in my country. They are really adorable. The same color of bouganvilleas I have in my frontyard. I just love looking at them every morning when I water the garden.
What a wonderful view to downtown Los Angeles!!! Just stunning!!
Love your plants, too.
What a gorgeous day!
Me again. I forgotten to say that the reflection of the city on the glass is just amazing! Beautiful shot. Well done!
I always love your garden photos. That bird's nest is just begging for it's photo to be framed!
As usual, wonderful pictures! I love the reflections! So cool! You have such an awesome view!!
Your garden is looking gorgeous!!
Terrific view you have there. Very nice.
How creative to take the pictures in reflection. Nice day in LA, here we are raining :)
Oh, such lovely pictures! I love the blooms on that one plant that you said you saw the hummingbird by. That is such a lovely plant too. I have never seen anything quite like that before. The layering of the stalks or branches is pretty unique!
Too bad you missed the doves!! It doesn't take those babies long to leave the nest!!
Once again, great post Naomi!
I loved having bouganvillea everywhere when I lived in San Diego...and the smell of Jasmine in spring (sigh)Thanks for the memories!
You seem to have a green thumb. I just am amazed with all your wonderful plants and how they really bloom. You must take care of them personally. About your question it is 30 years of married life and not 38. It just looked like 38 they way it was printed. Anyway I'm past 50. Didn't get your email address yet.
Your picture filled posts make me feel like I've been for a visit!
Such nice pictures. I love the one with L.A. in the background, it's like a picture of a picture within a picture. :)
Wow, that view is incredible. And rare, too, here in the L.A. area! Are you in L.A. proper? I went to the beach like I said I was going to last week and it was beyond perfect. Stop by and check out the pics if you get the chance.
Me again! I was going to email you directly but I don't have an email address for you, so I'll respond here! We went to Seal Beach. It's a great beach tucked between Belmont Shores and Huntington/Sunset Beach. And I still call it Graumman's, too. Hey, if you're a true Californian, that's what it will always be. My boys LOVE Hollywood. We like to Metrolink it to Union Station then hop on the red line and stop and spend the day in Hollywood, usually by going to the El Capitan. The kids just love to put their hands and feet in the cement blocks at Grauman's. Heck...me too!
Hi OOLOTH, lovely post as always, I'm working at home this morning and when I get a coffee I'm going to take the camera out into the garden and see what I can find to take and post, inspired by YOU!
Here from Michele's this time by the way.
Always gorgeous, your photos!
The reflective pictures are awesome! You truly don't realize what you see on a daily basis, but when you share, it's amazing!
Michele sent me today!
I had to look at that first photo a couple of times to figure out what was going on it it. It looks like each frame is a small window cut into the wall exposing the view behind. Great photos, by the way, and great view (I'm jealous).
What beautiful pictures from your windows! You must have the most perfect location in L.A.!!
These are lovely indeed.
We have the mourning doves here as well. The same pair comes back each year. They really are not the best nest builders and they get those chicks up and out as quickly as possible. I have a robin nest to posst a little later on. The nest is in a holly bush, stickers and all. Should be interesting.
That reflection is so clear. It's good that you had a break from all that rain and had a nice, clear, sunny day.
I potted some flowers to put alongside our driveway.
They look so pretty. I'm like you... flowers and beautiful nature makes me happy!
My voice has iimproved a lot over the past few days.
I hope this continues. I plan to do an audio post one of these days. That will certainly be a day to celebrate!
Take care and enjoy your day.
Love it, love it, LOVE it - as ever, my dear Naomi...wonderful photos....
:-)

That was so cool! Everything is a go for our newest addition this weekend! :)
I always get a jolt when i see your beautiful photos because they remind me to take a closer look at everything that is around me.
PS. Thanks for visiting today!
You hit the nail on the head when you wrote about seeing something for the first time - even though you may have witnessed that same scene hundreds of times before.
Every time we see something, even if it's mundane, we have the opportunity to see it from a new perspective. I'm always challenging myself to look at the same old stuff in a totally new way.
Having the camera nearby makes it easier to share. We're blessed that you always seem to have yours at had for the coolest views - inside and out.
You've reminded me: I need to spend more time walking around the house.
