the beauty of nature

So many colors and shades in one plant.....The Beauty Abounds. Outside on my Patio the Bougainvillea is blooming and looks so gorgeous.....This is my favorite Bougainvillea.....I think it is called Sunrise or maybe Sunset.....whatever....it is stunning right now. What I cannot get over is the variety of Oranges and Pinks that are in this particular Bougainvillea.....And the pinks go from pale pale Pink...... To this stunning Shocking Pink below...... And everything in-between..... And the Oranges run the gamut, too.....Dark Orange and Light Orange and everything in-between.....And all of these Oranges are so fantastically rich......And of course, as always, to see everything much bigger and better, do click on each picture......And truthfully no camera can 'capture' the depth of beauty that these flowers share with us......But, these are pretty good..... And here are some more pictures of this exquisite flowering plant....... Some more shocking pink above, now flowering in the center...I never tire of looking at these flowers or this plant....The fact that it is at the height of it's abundance...well, I just cannot get enough of it right now! What you are seeing in these pictures is why I chose this particular Bougainvillea.... Wherever you look, right now....there is this delicate beauty....It is like a kind of meditation to just sit and look at this particular plant. I sit and get lost in the variety of colors, and marvel at Nature.....! Wherever you look....whether you are looking close-up or far away.....There is all this fabulous exquisiteness.....And as always, dear readers, there will be.......

More To Come.......

  3. Certain colors are supposed to invoke certain emotions. Pink in nature seems to cause a soothing contentment, in me at least. Thanks for the photos.

    Cheers.

  5. Here in NE Ohio, the only bougainvillea we've had was an indoor plant in a southern window. It lived for a long time with glorious blooms.

  10. Wow...talk about spectacular colors! It looks like an artist canvass. I have to say your Bougainvillea tops anything I've seen in Florida for color. Must be that California sun.

  11. These flowers are beautiful. We have them all over Miami, but these close-ups make them look more glamourous. I especially like the hot pink color. Very nice.

  12. I'm surprised there aren't any bees buzzing about. Those look tasty - if I were a bee.

  16. That is my favorite bougainvillea, too, Naomi. YOu haven't lived until you've seen it massed on the side of a building that is 40' tall!! I saw in in Barbados like that.

  18. There is an Allman Brothers song called "Bougainvillea" and it is one of my faves of theirs. Part of the lyrics are "let her wear your flowers in her hair. You will always be, always be our love song." Very sweet! And your photos more than do both the bloom and the song justice.

  19. Such beautiful colors Naomi! I do not have a Bougainvillea but they are so lovely. They will not survive the winters here, but the flowers are so lovely, not to mention the foliage! Great photos as always!!

  21. stunning colours and light Naomi. The first shot and the ones that have an orange tinge to them remind me of what we have to look forward to in less than a month when the trees around here display their gorgeous fall colour. I love the reds of the maple tree leaves.

  23. Great pinks and oranges, and great photos!
The beauty of nature just never ceases, does it?
I enjoy the up close looks you give us, and I really enjoy the commentary you write when you describe the things you see.
I hope you are feeling well these days.
I have been thinking of you as the storm called Hanna has been in the news. It reminds me of your dear, friend Hanna when I hear anything about it. I know the loss of her really took a toll on you just as these storms are taking a toll on people.
I think chocolate truffles are called for, don't you?
If you eat some, think of me because chances are, I will be eating some too, also, as well.

  24. 'My heart lifts up when I behold...'
Naomi's gorgeous colours. So much classier then the ordinary purple.
I can't imagine you ever in grey surroundings. Just as well you are not in this grey wilderness.

  25. I love Bougainvillea, they are so pretty- but oh how they shed teir petals. We used to have our property lined with them, until one year I lost my patience with the yard litter and had the gardner rip them all out.

  26. Wow. Those colours are simply breathtaking. I love these colours - it is amazing what Mother Nature has in store isn't it? There are bougainvilleas grown on the island in the middle of the street I live on. When they bloom they look magnificent with their shades of pinks and yellows and oranges.... just gorgeous.

Thanks too for your words over the past couple of weeks. I appreciated them. ((hugs))
