ReplyDeleteHappy Valentines Day Naomi! :-) A lovely post.
ReplyDeleteI also went back and read your post from last year and it was truly poignant to read. What a lot you went through at such a tender age!
I have never really enjoyed Valentines day. It was generally a disappointment and when I was younger I wnet to an all girls schol where the 'in crowd' - a group of rich adn pretty girls, used to make fun of me as I never got anything adn they used to get loads (I was a late bloomer who had to wear horrible glasses at school).
This year promises to be much better adn I can't wait to see what M has in store for me :-)
Beautiful and delicious post, Naomi! Love roses and love chocolate, too! Happy Valentine's Day to you, my dear friend!
ReplyDeleteI will just now to your other post and I will come back here soon!
Many hugs!
A very happy Valentines Day to you too. I bet a lady like you is innundated with cards today! :-)

Happy Valentine's Day to you, Naomi. I hope all is well with you and thank you for the pictures of candy and flowers. Those pictures are very appealing!
ReplyDeleteGoodness! Your most special Valentine EVER -- and at the tender age of NINE! That is just amazing! It is also amazing that you were such a BRAZEN young thing BACK IN THE DAY!!! LOL! I didn't think little girls that young HAD boyfriends allllllllll the way BACK THEN! LOL! Sounds like Hugh was a quite a young man though, and a pity that you had to get so sick. And I knOw it WAS very sad... really a heartbreaking story!
ReplyDeleteDid you ever tell what the sickness was? Is there another post about that somewhere? Or are we still waiting to find out?
t's very late - and already the 15th here. I hope you had a good Valentine's Day, Naomi, and that someone gave you chocolates!
ReplyDeleteOkay, lol, I get it that you like chocolate. Of all the candy in the world, Chocolate is one of my favorites, especially with toffee bits in it, mmmmmm. Next to that it's Good N Plenty's.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day,
Betty :)
I see that luscious chocolate there... we stayed away from the chocolate. Today is my dad's birthday (79th) so we will be going out to eat later. Maybe some chocolate then... I must go get him some big Reeses chocolate heart peanut butter cups... his favorite.
