open & beautiful!
So, there it is! One of the two blossoms we have been waiting to open on the first of the Amaryllis bulbs....with five more bulbs to go, who knows what colors will appear....?
And here is the other flower from this very beautiful pair....both are just so perfect and the color deep deep red as only nature can provide....Gorgous, Gorgeous, Gorgeous....Here below are the two of these lovelies together....
They almost look unreal, don't they? I have not done anything to this photograph....this is just exactly how they looked to the camera....I do think it is pretty amazing to see these blooms with Morris Broderson's painting behind them---especially seeing that paint brush filled with paint just moving across the canvas---it's as if the paint brush had painted these two blossoms, isn't it?
And just this one more view of one of those two pretty pretty blooms, above, (at least for the moment)....with the Rose in the painting behind it. The real and the surreal....well, not really surreal, but just a special Artists view of a special rose....Together they are both nature in all it's glory.....
More To Come.....
Wow! It opened and looks amazing!!!!
ReplyDeleteGOPRGEOUS!! I've never tried an amaryllis......I am definetely going to do that next year. That color is outrageous, how fun!

Aren't they beautiful!!!? They are simply gorgeous as you say and this one is exactly the same colour as mine! I must take some pics of mine too.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what colours your others are going to be!
Breathless I should say. It is such a lovely flower. Red is my favorite color. Yes you are right. They look artificial but I know they aren't. You have taken good shots of it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Naomi!! That grew and bloomed pretty quickly!! They are such a gorgeous flower!!
ReplyDeleteAhhhh, I came here seeking beauty and peace from a stressful life. Thanks for not disappointing. Now back to the grind for me. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh! Aren't they so pretty? Worth the wait. What a bright spot in the day. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my they are so beautiful. I thought they might come out a little on the peach side. Surprise I was wrong huh?. :-). Love them..
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love the close-ups!
ReplyDeleteWooow: Amaryllis is my favorite Christmas flower. We always buy one some weeks before the Holiday to have it in fully bloom at Christmas Eve - thanks for this lovely pictures!
ReplyDeletebeautiful.... i love amaryllis'- to have such a beautiful flower in the middle of winter is so nice. my mom gave me one in november for my birthday, and it opened into full bloom on my son's birthday in late december.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely.
ReplyDeleteSorry I haven't been by in awhile.
Its been crazy here.

I recall telling you about the amyrillis plant that was already in bloom when my granddaughter brought it to me and not knowing how to care for it, the long stem toppled and I lost it.
ReplyDeleteThis morning at work, one of the elderly residents came to my desk in tears to tell me that her amyrillis plant had toppled over and she needed someone to help her clean up the broken pot and soil.
Seems quite a coincidence that I'm not alone in not knowing how to properly care for this truly lovely sight to behold.
The amaryllis looks as if it is in the same bouquet with the pastel rose behind... lovely doesn't even begin to cover it!
ReplyDeleteabsolutely beautiful! i do love seeing your flower pictures. and i really like the picture behind too.
ReplyDeletehaven't been here for a while... silly me. have spent a while catching up and just wanted to say good job! great film reviews and the piece about name calling and double standards was great. and sad.
but i'm so happy to get to gaze at this amazing amarylis before i leaqve again!
thanks sweetness.
It's been worth the wait. I can tell that you are so excited and I can understand why. Beautiful, nature at its best.
ReplyDeleteOne word - 'Fantastic!'
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful! you know I run out of adjectives everytime you post about flowers or about your garden :)
ReplyDeleteAhhhhhhhhh yes! They are GORGEOUS to be sure! Congratulations on their AWAKENING! I'm thinking the 5 bulbs are probably all the same variety -- but... MAYBE not! That would REALLY be fun if they aren't! Are any of the others "close" to blooming yet?
ReplyDeleteThe beautiful blue behind the blossom complements it perfectly. That photo would make an extraordinary wall print, stretched over canvas... maybe in a kitchen or bedroom (Shutterfly does canvases, lol).
ReplyDelete~S :)
I've seen an incredible beauty. If they only smells a tenth of the beauty, I would faint.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing such a wonder
=^.^=
