cats on tuesday

Today begins Cats On Tuesady....a wonderful idea thought up by Gattina...and there are quite a few of us who will be doing this...What are we doing? We are writing about and showing pictures of our Cat(s). There are sooooo very many of us who are "owned" by cats, yes...OWNED by them, heart and soul....so there is now this designated day...Cat Tuesday where we devote our posts for that day to each of our dear purring four footed darlings....

My Darling is "Sweetie". As many of you already know....Sweetie rules the roost. He is very quiet about it but---when you come down to it---he is 'The Boss'. And a better boss a person could not ask for!

In this picture above you see him in a very typical pose...Lying with his paws stretched out----almost crossed in a way, and staying close to me...I am working at the computer and he is on the end of the bed----his most favorite place to be----making sure I am with the best company I could possible have.....Him!

Another favorite place of his is 'in' or on, one of his Condominium's...(he has three)...but the one in the picture below is without a doubt, his very favorite...
And there above.....(what the hell is that space all about????) he is in his condo.....though sometimes he is on 'the deck' of this condo, too! I'll shoe you that another time....But for now, I love this next picture because I was trying to catch him---mid flight---getting into his condo.... LOL, LOL, LOL...He is very very fast, sometimes.....He is a delightful person....so beautiful and those gorgeous blue eyes. He is such a great great comfort....And, as I have said many many times....As Sweet as his name....And here below is "The Sweetster" looking tres tres beautiful, surveying everything within his view from one of the chairs in the den.... That is it for this Tuesday....

To visit any of the others who are bragging...ooops, I mean writing about their cats go to Gattina's...(pass your cursor over her name and click...just like those Ruby Red Slippers....you only have to click it once though....) and that will take you to her blog, where all the links are to the other participants....until I can learn how to do Mr. Linky...that will have to serve and suffice, I hope....

More To Come......

  1. I am smiling from one ear to the other ! What a beautiful cat he is ! How old ? You forgot to mention. You know I noticed that people who love writing have nearly all a cat, not a dog, but a cat. A cat inspires me and also they are great "tissues" when you are sad and you cry. They held still and purr ....

  2. Great pictures! :) He's a lovely cat. I agree with you - the one of him in the cat condo is just gorgeous! I like the blurred photo too - so cute!

My Dragonheart likes hanging out in his cat tree too.

*grin* We do love to brag about our cats, don't we? :)

    Happy "Cats on Tuesday". :)

  3. I know I've said it before but Sweetie is such a fine looking cat! That first photo of him looks so regal :-) Only non-cat owners think cats are not great pets, sorry owners (LOL). I think they are wonderful companions and mine likes to sit with me too.

  8. i'm a cat person too, but my hubby is allergic so we can't have one. we have TONS of feral cats in our neighborhood and have befriended a few who have taken up residence on our porch. i actually tried to post about one of the feral kittens we've been taking care of but i accidentally erased it. sweetie is a beautiful cat. there must be something about white cats with blue eyes- i had a female one named "sugar" and she was the sweetest cat i've ever owned.

  9. I think cats are beautiful, unfortunately I am allergic to them. :(
My kids have begged for a kitty, but I just can't do it.

  12. Hi,

For those of you who do know - or not - what having a cat means, check this site and have fun:

Oh by the way, I really enjoy this site!

  13. Mine is up but Miss Clover may never forgive me for her picture today. She did a double at Tummy Tuesday as well. If you figure out Mr. Linky, let me know, please.

  14. Hi Naomi. I like this idea. Your lighting is excellent. I always lamented my inability to shoot our black cat - his fur seemed to eat light. Sweetie, au contraire, almost welcomes the light. He's a beautiful cat, and I hope you'll give him a pat from me when you see him next.

  16. A very pretty cat. White and a matching blue eyes sounds like a blonde surfer! Great pictures you took of him as well!

  17. He is QUITE his splendid self! I love the top one with him laying on the bed. He's gorgeous. You know Naomi... there are LOTS of different
cat "groups" blogging -- probably something for EVERY day of the week... month... YEAR! LOL! I have a friend who belongs to MANY if you would like to visit her, she is PJ in my Sunny Bunch Plus blogroll. One of her kitties even has his own blog - which he shares with his brofurs... LOL!

  18. I love Sweetie. Not only is he a handsome "boss" but he shows so much personality through in his photographs. The one with showing white streaked "fast" fur going into his house just cracks me up!

I need to do a post on our house boss, Darius. My big boy. He'd probably like that.

  19. I love to write and do love cats, dogs too! I had my last tabby Rajah and dog Crackers together for 15 years....can't have animals where I now live, and miss having them terribly. Large photographs of both are kept on my bedroom wall.

  20. Oh, so nice to see pictures of dear Sweetie!! I just think he is so beautiful. Handsome too, but beautiful describes him best I think. His blue eyes are gorgeous!!!

  21. I love the one of Sweetie "flying" into his condo.

  22. He's beautiful, of course. :) And you're very good at catching him.
I may have to join in this.
    Fun.

  23. What a good looking cat! The one of him flying into the condo was a lucky shot!

  24. Ok, is that a cannonball or a cat! that fast-action shot is fantastic. Your cat is a beauty. Thanks for sharing a glimpse not just of him but of his personality.

  25. Hello - Sweetie is gorgeous!

That's my favourite cat thing - when they stay with you when you go round the house... as if it's you they want rather than the big soft duvet or the warm spot by the heater.

  26. Great photos! Our Mickey is a beer guzzling sailor in comparison to Sweetie. Mickey lounges back in his favorite chair, spread eagle with his belly and other appendages hanging out. We mildly scold him to be more modest but he just gives us that oh so superior glare. LOl

  27. Great shots of Sweetie Naomi!
But goodness, I do Feline Friday so my cat photo's will have to wait...

I love all animals and all sizes..loved all the wild animals when I volunteered at Shambala and even had a roomie for a while in CA that had an 85 lb african serval that would be brought into the house now and then.. nothing like waking up to an 85 lb cat jumping on your bed! (thought it was an earthquake! lol)

  28. He sure is purrrty! I hardly can see how he fits into the condo! He's a white blurr of speed!

  30. Your cat is just too pretty for words, Naomi. A vision in white.

Just by coincidence I had a cat post on Tuesday also--but it's not a regular thing for me.
